Terrible service. I stood at the counter for 8 minutes watching the employees and it took them that long to even acknowledge I was standing there. As I was waiting another lady walks up and tells them her sandwich is cold. Just put a little effort and pride in your place of business this was ridiculous. Spent $10 on a small sandwich that was mainly all bread for my first visit to this restaurant. That must have been why there was only 2 of us in there. I've eaten here a few times before for breakfast, it's over-priced. Normally my biggest complaint about this location is that they're always out of all of the bagels, like all of them! I don't want to pay more for the silly "gourmet" bagels, I just want the ones that come with my sandwich. Is it that hard to keep them in stock? Without fail, they're always out (probably on purpose). I ate lunch here on Sunday and haven't reached this level of being disgusted in quite some time. We ordered, sat down, waited... and the server who brought out our sandwiches had large amounts of crusted snot dripping from his nose into his mouth. Ordered 3 bagels: farmhouse and 2 nova lox for $24. At the ordering speaker, the lady taking our order was extremely rude and short with us even though we weren't being difficult. The lady at the window who took our payment was very nice and we had no issues with her. We got our bag of bagels that had three in there and so we went on our way home. Once home, we opened up our food and it was the complete wrong order. We weren't given a receipt and don't live close enough to drive right back and get the issue resolved. So we called and asked if they could refund us and were very respectful when telling them about our issue. The lady on the phone was incredibly rude and told us to come into get a refund even though she had the ticket and could do it without us coming in. She also told us in an incredibly rude tone that they make mistakes and blah blah blah. Overall a shit show and terrible customer service experience. Both me and my boyfriend are young and respectful people and did not deserve the attitude and rudeness received from this Einstein location. What a crappy experience. First, customer service. Terrible. No one here seems to like their job. Next, the coffee. Handed to me at room temp and I was asked "try that and see if it needs to be warmed up." She took it back and microwaved it. And last, and the worst, my bagel sandwich. I could see the guy making it, watched him put a hot turkey sausage on it (I asked for no sausage), but gave him a chance to make a new one without me having to say something. Then I watched him realize what he'd done and toss the sausage in the trash. So I had to ask them to make a new one, because I don't eat meat. They both rolled their eyes at me and the girl at window said "it'll be a few minutes, he has to remake it," with an attitude to said it's my fault. Never coming back here. read more

I'm sad to see there are so many negative reviews on this place, I actually had a wonderful experience this morning. I came in with several different orders, I was picking breakfast up for myself and some coworkers. The woman who helped me was Shannon and she was a delight! I placed my order and she was very polite and made sure she got everything right before sending it in. I paid and waited for my name to be called, but was surprised when she brought the whole order to the table I was waiting at. I ordered a ham and cheddar egg sandwich on a 6 cheese bagel. I got to work, about a 15 minute drive, and it was still hot and delicious. My coworkers also got breakfast sandwiches and they all enjoyed it as well. The whole restaurant was very clean, the employees were absolutely sweet and our food was made exactly as ordered and tasted great. We will definitely be back very very soon and I hope Shannon is still working there! read more

The service here is AWFUL; it gets worse every time we come here. Standard orders from the menu (no substitutions/changes) are wrong more often than they are right. Several times the food has been cold on one side and hot on the other. Drive through staff don't say 'please' or 'thank you' and have even dropped change out of the window, made eye contact (so I know that they know) and then walked off without an apology or an attempt to fix it. My husband ordered a slice of tomato on his bagel and we opened it to find this huge patch of mold in the center of it. This is DISGUSTING. That's not just a day old- how long does your produce sit for it to collect THAT??? This is not he first time he's received a moldy product from this location. He also had onion that was molded and ate some of it. We will no longer be going to this restaurant because it's obvious they let their food sit around way longer than it should. And how nobody even noticed this mold when they sliced the tomato is beyond me. No thank you. read more

This place has gone down hill...! I can't wait until they put a Panera in Leander! The drive through is SLOW and more times than I can count, my bagels come out with an onion taste. When you actually get what you ordered the bagels are usually very good. But most of the time I go I end up stuck with an order completely different then I gave or a burnt bagel. The chance the bagel is good is what is clearly keeping this place in business. My other reason for giving 1 star is because the service is terrible and that matters, if someone makes you feel like shit for ordering a bagel from them no matter how nice you are about it why would you want to go back? I'm sure they complain all the time about how customers are rude to them but at this location I'm almost 90% positive the workers are way more rude than the customers. They always have bad attitudes. It's rare that I go and have a nice experience. Based off all this I wouldn't recommend going, I rarely go anymore. Went through the drive thru for a half dozen bagels. Lady running the drive thru was very nice. It was a bit slower than you'd expect, but she had to "make" two cinnamon sugar bagels. She was very nice in instructing me how to freeze and when to defrost them. She even gave me a couple of freezer bags. The bagels are delish, too. Will def be back. read more

Could not believe the rude customer service in the drive thru. I always ask for my bagel to be kept whole because I don't care for a garlic taste on my blueberry bagel that is picked up from the slicer. I ordered the bagel while & it was presented to me sliced. When I asked for one not sliced, the lady kind of rolled her eyes and seemed inconvenienced to walk over & grab one from the baskets. She then said "here you go" & didn't even make eye contact. Customer service is apologizing even when it's not your fault & a smile to show appreciation a customer chose to spend their money at the establishment that funds your bank account...yep, that goes pretty far. Please also ask employees to clean or use different utensils when preparing the to-go cream cheese. My order is wrong more times than it is right and I don't notice until I've left and been on my way. Today is the last time I will go there. They never have any stock. I have try to come here for lunch several times and they never have any of the bagels I want in stock, and it wasn't anything seasonal or that they don't have on their everyday menu. I have been here at least 5-6 times and only once did they have what I wanted available. I can understand if it's the end of the day, but why have something on the regular menu that you don't plan to stock throughout your day. I have had wonderful experiences at other Einstein bagels I have lived near, but this one is mostly a miss. read more

Food is pretty good. The vanilla hazelnut coffee is my favorite coffee of almost any place I go. Customer service is as good as can be expected for a fast food restaurant. The reason for five stars is the manager David. One of the nicest people I have met working in a restaurant. David is always helpful and cheerful. He remembers me and my wife when we come in. He goes around the restaurant and checks in one people, especially the regulars. On several occasions I have been having an awful day, stopped in to get bagels and coffee, and David was working AND brightened my day significantly. read more

The only reason I go is because it's the only bagel place around, and my wife is a teacher and gets Einstein gift cards. I know they changed manager and crew at this store, so maybe there's hope! Sadly one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I've had. Stopped in this morning with a guest. Apparently, I ordered a bagel they do not have, judging by the immediate eye roll of the employee taking our order. My guest ordered the iced mocha and was told "well that is going to take a while." When we told her that was okay, we got a straight, flat look stare. ( we were the only people in line) As others have mentioned on here, she definitely did not appear to like her job, but it is unacceptable to make the customer feel so uncomfortable. When our food was up, it was delivered and practically tossed at us. No smile or thank you. I observed this lady treating her fellow employees the same way and truly hope this is not their manager! Was excited to see an Einstein's in Cedar Park when we moved here. My first experience was in KC years ago and I became addicted. We came lat in the afternoon so no one else was there - service was "meh" - Cream cheese was layered on like frosting so I had to scrape some off. Slow. Very slow. Especially the drive thru. But I absolutely love their bagels so it keeps me going back. The service is great and the staff is always friendly. The asiago cheese bagel is my go to, and it's only $1.25 plain. The pizza bagels and breakfast sandwiches can be a little pricey but they are delicious as well. I like this place a lot! I just wish I didn't have to wait 10 minutes for a bagel. read more

I'm not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, but it appears they are related to drive thru service. My review is based on inside service. The place is clean and bright. Lots of flavors to choose from both in bagels and cream cheeses. I was greeted by a nice smiling young lady and had my food in about 3 minutes... the French toast bagel toasted with cream cheese. I'm giving 5 stars because that was my experience and to help offset some of the whiners giving 1 star because they can't wait a few extra minutes. If you can't get out of your pajamas then be prepared to have a little patience. I'll be back for sure. read more

Had an unpleasant experience trying to enjoy a summer breakfast outside on the patio. Somebody drove up and parked right there, with very loud music playing. You know the kind with thumping bass. My wife felt compelled to actually cover her ears. Well, after a minute the "music" stopped and the offender exited the vehicle and entered the restaurant. Turns out the little trd was an Einstein employee! If you consider this unrelated to the restaurant, I'd also like to mention that they got my order wrong, which was no surprise given the blank, disinterested expression on the face of the girl who took my order. This place is amazing!!!! They have the best customer service I've seen in a long while. I completely forgot my wallet at home this morning (hello preggo brain) and told the lady at the window I would be back to pay for it. She said, No worries and comped my meal (I ordered 2 bagels). There aren't many restaurants out there anymore, that will do that for you. She had a smile on her face, hoped I had a better day, and that was it. I've been going here most every weekend for the past few years. I have seen the service increasingly decline. The food is consistently good but the time it takes to get the food varies. You never know how long it will take to get your order. Once I waited 30 minutes for one bagel. I actually got my money back and left.
