The line in this place was almost out the door. Oh and not to order either was to try and pick up orders. This place was filled with the most lethargic group of people ever with no haste to reflect the mass of people gathering. Leaving me to witness the pitfalls of how that particular locations runs. The 15 min or so I had to wait for an everything bagel was comical at best and the quality of the product was the only thing that gave this review another star. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the third time I've been to this location and each time it's been a bad experience. Every time I order for pick up, my food is either given to someone else OR they take over an HOUR to make my food. They don't care, they don't even bother telling you they're out of something. I always get my sandwich made wrong and when I try to go in and say something I get hit with attitude and "we're out." And don't even try to make it right. Today I waited again over an hour for my damn food to be ready and of course it was wrong, they didn't want to fix it and I had PAID for 2 Eggs on each sandwich and there was just 1 and wrong bagel again. I'm done giving them my money and time. This is ridiculous. If manager sees this, the least they can do is TRY to make it right or at least remake a damn sandwich. Horrible experience always. Unfriendly staffs, dirty: all three trash bins were overflowing with trash when we walked in at 6 AM when the store opened. Evidently nobody cleaned them out the night before. I loved Einstein bagels, ate one nearly every morning when in NY, and a few times at the 14th St. Atlanta location. Haven't had one in years and was totally disappointed when I had a few delivered to me my by BFF. Whatever happened to the original recipe, smaller, more doughy and actually taste. These now bagel are airy, soft, full of holes and has not tastes. Too processed. Totally sad!! read more

Today I witnessed an employee be extremely rude to a customer. Customer simply asked if they had Apple Pay , she said no , then customer asked if they could manually type her card in , she offered her iD and for them to see the card on her Apple Pay to verify it was hers, then another woman employee rudely interrupted the employee at the register and rolled her eyes and told the customer she cannot do that and that she needed to step away. Of course by this time the customer was mad, I would be mad too if I was her, the gm came and spoke to the customer professionally and customer left. The rude woman employee proceeded to have an attitude with the other customers in the store. I will not be coming to this store again. read more

This place is the polar opposite of the Einstein Bros in Buford. The place is clean, the staff is wonderful and they always get my orders correct. There is no trash lying on the floor. The trascans are empty in the morning, and the coffee is fresh. Their coolers are stocked with cream cheese, spreads, and bottled beverages, including fresh oj. The bagels all look and taste fresh. This is like walking into a completely different company. A company that has their stuff together. And man, can they make A Nova Lox! The staff is courteous, and very easy to talk to. I love it here. Again, I can't even believe this location and the Buford store are both Einstein Bros. Great job and kudos to all the team members here in Duluth! I've been coming to this Einsteins for a while now. I use to get really good service there. For a while, I was greeted by name when I walked in. That's how good the service there use to be for me. I would not have hesitated to give it 5 stars. I don't know if its just staff turnovers or if the business has fallen under new management or what. Lately, my experiences here have been hit or miss. Last month, they forget to add schmear to my bagel, but they remembered to charge me for it. This morning, the dude taking my order could not have looked liked he cared any less, and I had to repeat myself several times. When I got my bagel, it had about half as much schmear as it normally does. My breakfast all but shrugged "whatever" at me. I am very sad to see one of my favorite places go so downhill service wise. As to the food, it's pretty good. When I want a bagel, this is where I go. There's a wide variety of bagels and schmears. Einstein schmears are of a yummy, whipped consistency. I love it. read more

Restaurant was fairly clean and staff (order taker and cashier) were friendly and speedy. Food is very good although prices are a bit higher than competitors. Wait time for your food is excessive - although I don't blame the poor woman making the food! The person who made my sandwich was so incredibly backed up with orders that I really had to feel bad for her. What made her situation even worse was that after the order taker and cashier had done their jobs and there were no more customers waiting to place orders or pay, they simply walked away and into the back of the restaurant. It would have been nice to see the staff all work together to help out the person making the food instead of just letting her get inundated. (Einstein needs to be "smarter" and take a lesson from Chick-fil-A and Waffle House in this regard). When my food was done the overextended woman who made it brought me my sandwich with a nice smile and a pleasant "thank you" - the rest of the staff was still nowhere to be seen in the front. I would give this Einstein location 4 stars instead of 3 if there was more of a team work ethic. The food is definitely worthy of 4 stars. read more

Quiet place to get some work done if you don't need wifi. Tables vary in size, from accommodating 2-8. The large table by the bathrooms is nice when you need to spread out a bunch of work. 3.5 stars. While I'm not a fan, I can see myself stopping by for a breakfast bagel. It'd be better if they had a drive-thru. As it was, the lines inside were average, but the pace was fairly quick. Steady flow of customers, but not many stay at the tables. Service-wise, the employees were pleasant and nice enough. But neither were they overly friendly - average service, nothing stands out. Einstein on Maple Road would not honor my two for one birthday coupon. The excuse is they have a computer glitch. I said just give me the two sandwiches and charge for one as offered on the coupon. They said management would not permit them To do that. I told them I would never return and they have lost a good customer. Pretty disappointed by my experience at this restaurant this morning. I ordered a Bagel And Lox on a spinach florentine, one of my favorites. I did not order a drink. The restaurant was not terribly full this morning. But for some reason my order took 20 minutes. I was in a hurry and had to ask it to be bagged to go. It's quite a shame that such a yummy bagel could not be enjoyed in the restaurant. I'm very disappointed. I know this place should do better. How come a place with such great food has such terrible employee problems? They have had constant employee turnover with the attendant incompetence for years. Many times I come in for lunch and there is not a familiar face working there at all. I finally confronted a manager about it. For a while I got personalized service - then the manager had enough and quit too. Oh, well, I'll just be a pain in the a$$ customer and count my change and double check my order, but that doesn't help for things like no ice at 11:30am and a coke machine that doesn't work for months on end. My fiancé and I love going here for delicious bagels. The only recommendation I can make is get here early when they offer the $6 special on 13 bagels. If you get there anytime after noon, the pickings might be slim. However, we still love this place. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, some even remember us when we come back. Nothing beats fresh, chewy bagels first thing in the morning. Try the Lox, which is a personal favorite or if you like sweet, they have Nutella for your sweet tooth. I love the selection of bagels and schmears. But this particular location seems to have an issue with their toaster, because the bagels never get as warm and toasty as they do at other locations. I've even seen them cycle the bagels through twice sometimes. But the staff is friendly, the OJ is delicious (more sour than sweet), and the coffee is great, too. And a somewhat-under-toasted Einstein Bros. bagel is better than 95% of all other bagels out there, at least in Atlanta. Everything bagel toasted with light garlic herb cream cheese FTW! So not impressed. $23 for three small sandwich bagels, chips, and 3 cups of water. Layer on the un-trained employees, a cashier with a bit of a bad attitude, a dirty bathroom, and you'll understand why I won't be returning. We order two bagels off their signature menu. First, the chorizo sunrise with two eggs sunny side up (or slightly raw) on an everything bagel since they were out of mostly everything else by 1. The person cooking them asked which of the two sandwiches were going to have the more raw eggs on them so yes there was understanding that two eggs would be cooked differently. Nope... they were cooked all the way. Fine I let that slide as most people may not ask for that. Then when I opened the sandwich, there was NO CHORIZO. Literally not one morsel. The bagel was equivalent to the "mini" bagels I'm used to back in NJ and dry at around $3 MORE for something half the size. Bagel wasn't toasted either as it should be for a sandwich like this or at least just put on the grill for a minute or two. Second sandwich was the Texas brisket sandwich. It left much to be desired. There was no chipotle aïoli. Only game is two stars for the kindness of the staff but the product was lacking. Other places just do it better.... A LOT BETTER. read more

I have gone to this location a few times and they are usually pretty good, but this morning the customer service was horrible. The cashier who helped us was nice and collected the bagels we received but after that he says thank you and leaves. So we went down to the other register and there was another gentleman close, he turned and said I will be right with you. He finally comes by 3-5 minutes later and says oh the other guy will help you and he said we don't keep this register open only if we are busy. So I go back to the original gentleman that helped us and had to wait for another customer to check out. I asked the guy we're you suppose to be ringing us up and he says oh my bad. Really!!!! This is one of my weekend go-to places when I want to eat a quick breakfast out. I've been going here for many, many years, and the service has gone from bad to much, much better. Being able to pay where you order is a better flow of customer interactions, in my opinion. The bagels, though, have been consistently good the last couple of years, and I definitely enjoy the staff more, too. There are groups of regulars who use this restaurant for their weekly, daily, or home office meeting place, so that has to say something for it, probably more than just wifi access. read more

There's something about my sandwich that lacked that fulfilling feeling that I get from a deli or truck up north. I ordered the sesame seed bagel with turkey sausage and 1 egg ($5.29) the sand which was just average. There were plenty of seats to choose from on a Saturday late morning. Cons: most consistently spaced out & informal unhelpful customer service I believe I've ever had. A little messy, nothing one person couldn't sweep thru and push chairs back in and wipe a table down in 5- 8 minutes. In need of upgrades especially menu signs hanging from ceiling rails. A bit confusing to locate where to look at menus. (In the front of me or the side) Awkward "take your order then pay at another register with the same person" is weird, as well as, sometimes having your meal prepared by same person taking your order. Are they a cheap company who just won't hire enough people?? Their food is delicious, but unfortunately, because their food is delicious you expect the staff to at least feel like they know it too. It's strange when they mention smears all over the menu and the employee is like what? O, you mean cream cheese- funny. One cook there, that I always see, is consistently nice and seems happy to be there... I actually look forward to her bringing my order out- her smiling, friendly, upbeat & speedy service makes it worthwhile! As much as I wanna give it 4 stars- the food is great and has vegetarian options, the customer service and shotty displays need to be upgraded. The clear & presentable experience is everything!! This was my first time at an Einsteins. I got a Cinnamon Raisin bagel, topped with a tuna salad (which had a nice mix of tuna, tomatoes, and unions), and a Vanilla Hazelnut Latte. Both were scrumptious. The customer service was excellent. The employees were friendly, in sync, and addressed everyone by first name. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because they forgot to give me the free bag of chips that came with the order. Since it was free, I didn't sweat it too much. But I will be back, and know to be more alert next time for my bag of chips. read more

I am addicted to Einstein's everything bagels with sun-dried tomato shmear, which is the only reason I ever patronize this location. The hours are crappy, the service is mediocre boarding on inept, and about 50% of the time they are out of the bagel I want. But...
