happy hour deal is amazing! $5.99 for bagel and a drink all day, can't beat it. i had low expectations for their new mocktails and was pleasantly surprised! the dragonfruit lemon drop is great, i want to go back just for the drink bagels are always warm with perfect flavor + cream cheese, but often they put wayyy too much cream cheese so it spills all over the place. store is clean, service is quick, staff are friendly - no clue why this location has 2 stars!

Walked in to a clean establishment and were greeted promptly. Everyone in town seems to come here and it's no wonder-- friendly service and the nova lix tgat we ordered was generously piled with lox, capers, tomato and onion. Perfect! Loved seeing the mix of people come to this clean and friendly Einstein's. Check it out!

My coffee was great and the bagels were so good especially the cheese and jalapeño one! My boyfriend did not like his coffee too much and we had to add some milk but it was not bad either. Next time we will just try a different coffee instead. The service was great and not long. There was somewhere to sit while you wait and the business was clean. This was june 2024:)

I rarely come to this Einstein Bagels in Encinitas. Looks like it needs an update. Love the location, it was clean and friendly. I was greeted immediately. I ordered my Farm house Bagel sandwich and it was delicious. Staff, thanked me for coming. If you haven't stopped by, give it some love!! Bagels and everything was fresh

Geesh..I don't know. I was taken aback when my husband picked up a bakers dozen for $20. When we opened it the bagels were TINY. 3.5 inches in diameter to be exact. Is that the going size now? Inflation..deflation? Weighed them too, roughly 3.3 ounces. Personally I don't think it's right to customers and we won't be back.

Geniuses.

New location to us. DoorDash orders. Two days in a row they put cheese on our egg bagel even though we listed NO CHEESE. It's not rocket science. Tried calling. They don't pick up.

This place still hasn't got a clue what double toasting is! I even explained how dark I wanted it toasted to no avail!

SLOW service. I waited 37 minutes for 1 bagel. The bagels are good, but the service is not.

If you see in the picture, our dog, Hank is having the kids meal the hanky which is a hamburger big enough for an adult. Cons: we love sitting on the patio with our dog Hank, but there is lots of open space around the area so sometimes you do get bees not a huge deal for me, but I saw some people were bothered

To me, the food was 3.5 to 4 stars. I ordered the thai and basil soda mocktail which was super refreshing and not too sweet! The spicy tuna and crispy rice was really good! I ordered the harvest bowl ($26) and added 3 oz. of steak for an additional $15. I didn't think that was a good value for roasted veggies and a small portion of steak. Some of the steak was extremely chewy as well. My friend said the hot honey chicken sandwich was good but there was a lot going on. I did take a bite of the molten butter cake while it was hot and fresh (I ordered it to-go) and the caramel really elevated the cake. Five stars for ambiance and service. The vibe here was smart casual. I did enjoy the aesthetic. Service was A+ with Emily. The manager came over a couple of times to make sure we were comfortable which was super sweet! I would definitely return. I really want to visit for brunch one of these days!

I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos and a house coffee. The coffee was actually pretty good! Cream and sugar were delivered separately to finish with your preference. As for the tacos, it was okay. The fish was a bit dry for my liking, cabbage could have been chopped with more finesse, and I wished they QC'd their limes a bit before putting them on the plate. Both were bone dry and I had to ask for more. Moreover, the cilantro lime rice was also a bit bland. It needed salt to lift the flavors in my opinion. There weren't even flecks of green if it was supposed to be cilantro? I tried boyfriend's veggie hash but was disappointed to find that it was almost all potatoes. Having said that, it was an extremely generous portion so he was filled up. While I didn't try it, our friend that had the chorizo hash also said it was okay so I'm guessing the ratio wasn't quite right. Anyways, ask for their chili sauce on the side, that's actually quite surprising. It had really good heat and was more like a chili crisp than a vinegary hot sauce. The plates that did score favorably at the table were the carne chilaquiles and the divorced eggs.

For my dessert, the butterscotch pudding was a must have. It wasn't what I was expecting but what much better. It was decadent and if I could, I would have ordered probably 2 more. This is the third time my girlfriend(s) and I have dined at the bar at Waverly in recent months. Each time we've arrived the female bartender (Karen) has been beyond unfriendly and seemingly couldn't smile to save her life. Initially, we just thought everyone has a bad day. Third time and same experience, not so much. I struggle to say this, however, she smiles and chats with men but with women, she has a completely different persona. Then as it's time for her tip, she musters up a smile. In addition, the food is always delicious as are their cocktails. At $19 and $22, one would think you would get more than three sips from your craft cocktail. It's completely filled with ice cubes and about an inch short on the pour, each and every time. I love Waverly, however, I feel they fall very short in these two categories. Enjoy your summer!
