This place is so inconsistent in their service. On any given day, they can be adequately staffed and your experience is ok. Other times, like this morning they are understaffed and exhibiting poor customer service skills (P.S. you don't wait on everyone in the line but the last person, fail to acknowledge them, turn your back and start doing other tasks. EPIC FAIL!) If you are a transplant to Texas, this is your best bet at a bagel. They are always good. But the process in this particular unit are not consistent therefore you have to allot extra time to accomplish getting food. I've been a regular Einstein's customer for many years before moving to Texas. This location has the worst service ever. The most unknowledgable buffoons work here. They don't even know what's on their sandwiches, (there are only a few choices!) without reading off the computer. They upcharged me $1.50 to trade mayo for cream cheese?!? The upcharge on a gourmet bagel is only $0.55.... how the hell is cream cheese in place of mayo 3x more money!? For a tiny dollop. They forgot to include my side with my sandwich. I was far too annoyed and ripped off to go back. No wonder this place is DEAD during mid-morning through the entire rest of the day! i have never seen more than 2 other people eating here. For $2 LESS, you can go to Which Wich and customize your sandwich with the entire kitchen sink of unique and tasty ingredients on it! AND not be charged extra, nor suffer pathetic service. read more

It's bagels made the NY way. I rarely dine in, but i have had most menu offerings and they are good and priced right. Do yourself a favor bring a box to the office on a back to work Monday. I call ahead and skip right to the front of the line. read more

I will echo what others have said here. The employees are friendly and seem to stay very busy. The issue is with their work processes. When you enter the line, you select your bagels and tell one of the associates what you want. If you are eating in, you simply go to the next point in the line (the register) and tell the cashier what you ordered. If you are taking something out, you are given those items either at the first point (if you don't require anything to be done such as toasting) or you get them at the register. The process has a very poor flow and I can tell you that every single time that I have been there (5 times or so), I have seen orders get skipped or messed up. This seems to be a chronic issue that with a little process revision could remove the only negative thing that I have seen with this location because the place is clean and the food is great. So, if you are the owner/operator/manager of this place, I think that if you will look at this "flow" issue, you will see your review scores go up because (again) you are doing well in other key areas. I will update this review periodically as I intend to continue to get bagels there. I am willing to put up with the issues cited because the bagels "are" really good and I live near the location. Love how convenient this Einstein Bros Bagels location is. It's right by the new and improved Signature Kroger so I love to grab a bagel and a latte and do a little grocery shopping after. However, it is highly advised to go between 5:30 and 7:00 am because it gets a little too crowded for my taste. Not a big fan of their ordering system either. There is only one place to order and you don't even pay at the same place. Once you place your order, you have walk about ten more feet and pay at a different place. Who does that? Needless to say this creates unnecessary trouble and is especially inconvenient during peak hours. They also have pretty limited seating so again, get there early. I had to take my food to go on several occasions because there was no place for me and my friends to sit. However, I grew up on Einstein Bros Bagels so I feel they can do no wrong. This location always has friendly staff on hand, and always gets my food and drink orders correct. read more

I can honestly say I am appalled at the customer service we received this afternoon. A group of girls and I went in to have a "meeting of sorts" for work and ordered the ham and swiss lunch bagels, when we got there they had made the breakfast bagels instead. So we politely asked that they make the correct ones for us, they said ok. About 25 minutes later we still have not received our corrected order, so I go to ask the gentleman about how much longer it would take, he said (quite rudely) "How many do you want??" and stormed around the corner of the counter and came over to our table, snatched the bag off the table, went back behind the counter and threw the sandwiches in the floor. It took another 20 minutes to get the corrected order, and thankfully I didn't eat any of it, because those who did are now suffering from a horrible stomach issue. I would not be surprised if he put something in our food, we will NOT be returning. I wish I could give negative stars but unfortunately I have to give at least one to write a review. word of advice, go anywhere else. read more

The worst - from the indifference of the staff to the totally inefficient process of ordering and then having to slide down to another register to pay. Today I ordered 1 thing to go - the cashier looked to see if they had it, took my money, and then I sat there as they refuse to just put it in a bag and send me on my way. When I saw her put it on the counter behind 4 other orders I asked if she could just give it to me since that's all I had and the snotty clerk who didn't want to be bothered informed me that they have to go in order, like it was really inconvenient to hand it to me. Love this location. Staff has all been pleasant to us. Large selection of bagel flavors. Weekends and holidays are very busy times so plan to wait. Those are also times they sell out quickly. . Just plan accordingly. read more

This is the worst Einstein's location I've ever been to. Terrible service, and even worse inventory management. I used to go almost every weekend. The service was so bad I decided I'd only go if I could call my order ahead. Today they didn't pick up the phone so I went in. Hardly any bagels by 10am. This is a bagel store. They close at 3pm. And they never account for holidays, mother's day, etc. Pathetic. read more

It's been said over and over on this site, the service is aweful. Here is my story. Went in on a Friday to get bagels for Saturday as we needed to be on the road before the shop opens. Ordered and paid for 6 bagels. Got on the road the next morning and started handing out bagels to the family. Gues what, I was shorted a bagel. We were on the road so there was nothing I could do about it at that time. Went in this morning, hoping for an apology and maybe the bagel I had paid for, ha! Joke was on me. This is not a comment on food because I didn't get any. I walk in and walked right up to the counter and paid for a bagel and cream cheese. I didn't ask for it to be toasted or anything just put item in a bag. I paid for the item and stood there for over 15 min literally. I walked up to the cashier and asked if my order was misplaced i just ordered a bagel. I received a lecture on how my order would be up after the other people who ordered breakfast before me received theirs, and why would I think my order should be before theirs. I asked for my money back, due to this. I also think they should be able to put a bagel in a bag and keep the ability to run the hot kitchen line. I mean really, how much time does it take to put a bagel in a bag? I think they need to go back to management school and learn how to handle the front line and customers. I have been eating at Einstein Bros since I was 19 and I am now 36. Big time loyalty there. Like others have said, there are issues at this location that don't exist at others. I have to repeat my order several times because they inevitably get something wrong. I have to remind them that my sandwich combo comes with a drink, a side, you name it. Yesterday I tried ordering the same sandwich I have been ordering for 17 years and it was a huge production. When I requested "deli mustard" (not French's but Gulden's) which is what they had always called it I was told by 2 employees they don't have that. Luckily I saw it from the counter and drew their attention to it. I get that menus change over time, but get with the program and know what condiments you offer. This morning I visited your Flower Mound location, which I do frequently as I buy buckets of bagels for my office on a regular basis. When I walked into your store I smiled at the man behind the counter and said, "Good morning." He did not return the smile and simply said "what do you want?" I was a little taken back by this, but ordered my typical bucket of bagels and he tossed the box on the counter. I politely asked him if he would please slice them for me. He literally sighed extremely loud, rolled his eyes, and the grabbed the box. After slicing them he tossed the box back on the counter and I said "thank you" and he rolled his eyes, looked at the next person, and said "what do you want?" As the manager of a law office, I want to be informed if ANY member of my staff mistreats anyone. I could not believe the way this man treated every customer while I was in the store. I asked the lady at the cash register what his name was so I could inform someone of his behavior and she said his name was Dillon and then furthered to say "sorry he was rude, he's like that every day." Well, if that is true then you will likely lose more than just me and my firm as a customer. We do love your bagels, but being treated like that to purchase them is not something we are willing to subject ourselves to when we are PURCHASING from them. read more
