We visited for brunch and had an overall average experience. The food was fine. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. I ordered the traditional breakfast with two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. Everything was okay, just not particularly memorable. The hash browns had no salt and weren't cooked all the way. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our meal. I want to be clear that she was not involved in what ultimately left us disappointed. The reason for the 2-star review was the ending to our visit. We had been seated for right at an hour when the hostess came to our table and asked if we could leave because there was a wait. We had already finished our meal and paid the check and were simply enjoying coffee while catching up with friends we hadn't seen in quite some time. We happily left and were gracious about the request. We understand there were several parties waiting, although from our table in the back corner we couldn't really see the crowd, and there had been plenty of open tables when we arrived. Even so, being asked to leave after only about an hour felt rushed and took away from what brunch is often about, relaxing and enjoying good company. I understand restaurants need to turn tables during busy times, but unless there's a posted seating limit, being asked to leave so soon wasn't something I've experienced before. It left us feeling like the focus had shifted from hospitality to table turnover. If you were to ask me about returning it would be a meh for me...food just ok and an inability to visit which is ultimately why we were there. With all of the brunch spots in the area, there are many others I'd recommend over this one. A little more flexibility, or simply allowing guests a bit more time to finish their coffee and conversation, would have made for a much more enjoyable experience and a slightly higher rating. read more

They have wonderful French toast options (especially if you love fruit and nuts) , the bacon was crunchy and not soggy and the Eggs Benedict is worth going back for. Great service I brought my husband back a second time and were turned away because it was 2:27 (they close at 2:30). Not cool. So I've been here a couple of times and had OK service and I've had some good dishes. But the last time I went, the chicken was an edible on the chicken biscuit. The tater tots were delicious. Our waitress forgot about us in the corner and we went without coffee, warm-ups attention until we were ready to go home. I'll probably go back with my ladies group, but I wouldn't make a point of going there if it was just me. It kind of soured me on the place to their credit. Wow! What a pleasant restaurant We arrived and found seating on the bar side of the restaurant. There was a harvest on site creating an ambience of a weekend brunch that was delightful. Our servers greeted us and immediately brought out water and took my coffee order. When reading the menu, the Coffee Cake French Toast caught my attention. I forgot when I last had coffee cake, so I decided on that. After taking a bite of the french toast without the syrup, I decided none was necessary. The coffee cake was moist and the syrup would have affected its flavor. In other restaurants with mobile payment devices, it would be left on the table. Today, my waiter handed me the device. Rather than leave, he waited while I was deciding on a tip. As soon as I entered a custom amount, he grabbed the device from my hand to insert my card. If this was any other place, I would have done that myself. read more

Visited on Sunday morning around 11:30 and was able to be seated right away as there were just two of us. The server was initially very rude and took almost 10 minutes to initially approach our table to take our drink order. She eventually was pleasant but we didn't see her much throughout the meal. Food came out quickly. We had an omelette with hashbrowns and gluten free pancakes and a burger. The omelette was okay - a bit overcooked. The hasbrowns were not very crispy and were soggy on the inside. The pancakes were gummy and not pleasant to eat. The burger was juicy even though required to be cooked to well done. I guess we're in the minority but this place was far from what we expected based on other reviews. Our server was Suzi and the lack of attention was almost humorous. We sat down and were immediately greeted with waters. She then left and didn't come back for almost 20 minutes. A table sat directly behind us and she took & delivered their drinks and food in that 20 minutes before coming back to us. We ordered 2 drinks, the biscuit appetizer, and 2 entrees. Drinks came out immediately and our food followed shortly after. Our "appetizer" came out with our entrees so they were cold and stale. I ordered the lemon and blueberry pancakes which was a very big portion for the price. However each pancake only had 2-3 blueberries and there was a lemon "dusting" on the top. I did not taste lemon at all so it's a stretch to put that in the description. My syrup container was only half full and to order more is $2.50, an absolute rip off. My husband ordered the breakfast tacos which were very loaded! He asked to add steak but he was charged for bacon & steak on top of the base price. They literally come with bacon or sausage but he was charged for it. Needless to say, we will not be returning. The food was very mediocre and the service, at least ours, was horrible. read more

We've been waiting to come here for a while, seeing that high number of great reviews, but it ended up being a solid, good breakfast place with great café atmosphere vibe. It started off not good when they placed us at a dirty out of the way table next to the bathroom. This table should not have been marked as ready. We quickly asked for something better. We got a bright clean table up at the front next to a window. Things quickly turned better with our friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive server and the food. Two of us got the avocado with egg white entrée. We could tell it was made by two different people. One was done with a nice large sliced avocado topped with chopped chicken, egg, white and melted cheese like omelette, covering it on a bed of arugula. The other same entrée had a medium avocado with a small egg white little chopped chicken and sparse cheese. The side of fruit was fresh with flavor. It was hot fresh and had a decent mix of flavor, but it was just OK. The third entrée was a large breakfast, sausage egg burrito and nicely grilled on the outside to give it a brown firm texture. Side of salsa added a little extra flavor. Hashbrowns were quite good with a nice warm crisp top. Burrito is also solid, good, but ranks near the top of similar burritos at other places. For this level of food experience, we felt it was a bit pricey. Atmosphere was very enjoyable. The dining room was spread out and busy with lots of people filled in every table. Bright windows and people watching along the sidewalk outside the store gave it the café feel. Wall decorations and music made this definitely a cozy hip spot for breakfast and brunch/lunchtime frame. read more

We came on a rainy day and was sat by a window table which I loved. The staff greeted us as we entered the restaurant and the staff was ready to seat us. The place looked clean and cute. I had the club sandwich and I love the fact that it wasn't soaking in mayo. I do want to add that I did not like the coffee nor the pancakes. When I first walked in I walked up to the hostess stand and asked if there was a to go section amd I got told they just bring them out to the hostess stand. It proceeded to be ready 10 mins after I put in the order for $55 dollars worth of food for 2 ppl. The food we received was either sitting,like I understand it does but for at least 30-45 mins. The bacon had a weird texture like there freezing it. And the sausage and gravy were really salty but the biscuit was mush. A 12 ounce fountain coke was 4 bucks which on me but insane pricing for the portion. The tater tots had been sitting on-top of the fryer in the basket over the hot oil which makes the fried food mush. The chicken biscuit I ordered was really overdone and not what the pictures show online. I received what looked like a frozen piece of chicken fried and cut in half to make 2 biscuits.the chicken was rubbery as well and I couldn't even tear it.And the last thing was a traditional breakfast platter. The eggs I got over medium they came popped all over the box and it was a huge mess and turned everything else lile the potato's in the box Into this slop that you do not want. Ambiance is low they are not really handicap accessible I witnessed a grandmother in a wheelchair and they gave her a lot of headache on where to sit when they had a table open that would of been perfect for a handicapped customer. All in all for this being my first time ever coming to them and coming in due to the amazing reviews I will not be back. I asked them to refund me the entire order as it was what I described it And I either eat the price or I call my bank to get the refund. In the managers eyes I have to call the bank he does not issue refunds. For 55.41 for really terrible breakfast that I don't even have a glimps of it's still on there bar. The place is super cute but I think they are getting away with higher prices because of the area. I had reached out to the email listed on their website after the first visit, saying that the food was incredible but that the service was very strange. I did not list any names or anything I just described our experience. I never heard anything back or any kind of resolution. We tried again a few weeks ago, and the service was a bit better (still slow). The food took a sharp dive down on quality. At a time when cost of living is so high, we all have to be more selective where we spend our money when we go out. Service and quality of food matter more and more in our decision making. Slow service (weekday morning, not very crowded), waitresses standing around looking at their phones (while my coffee went unfilled), and allegedly they are charging $1 for creamer with your coffee. They say lightning doesn't strike twice but it does with this place. My second time coming here was possibly even better than the first time. You can tell the owner takes pride in their place. The service was impeccable, the food came out shockingly fast, and the taste was amazing. The Chicken Fried Chicken was the biggest hit for me. The perfect crunchy exterior had mind blowing seasoning, the meat was moist and dense, and the gravy was near finger licking good. The not so humble buttermilk pancakes are the fluffiest, most delicious pancakes you'll ever get. And this place uses delicious syrup rather than the cheap generic ones. The only thing I hope this place does in the future is allow reservations. I imagine with the quality here, it's going to be long waits in the future. read more

This was our first visit. Good food and great service!! I really enjoyed the peach pie waffle. Delicious

The turkey wrap says it comes with bacon. The bacon is literally chopped fat. Just the fat. No meat. Chopped chunks of pure fat sprinkled throughout the wrap and mixed in with tiny bits of lettuce and teeny tiny bits of tomato. In other words, there's no way to completely pick the bacon out. It was incredibly disgusting. Don't waste your time complaining to the manager. She will argue about every detail and tell you things like, "bacon has fat in it" (these pieces were 100% fat; they were not bacon) and "You ate all of it" (even though I ate 2 bites over half of it before becoming too grossed out to continue eating the remaining half) and flippantly and unapologetically "sounds like you had a good experience last time and a bad experience today." I did not ask for a discount, and I rarely accept a discount. For me, it's not about the money. But the manager did volunteer: "I can only give you $5 off because you ate more than half of it." (It was a $10 wrap.) I was fine with that. But then without another word to me about it, my receipt had just $2 off. The manager later explained that she called the owner to ask if she can give $5 off and the owner, who was not even on the property that day, said "No, you can give $2 off." All in all this was a bad experience. The wrap containing chunks of fat was disgusting! I had asked for no mayo on this wrap because I'm grossed out by gobs of fat. Since the turkey wrap's menu description said "bacon," whereas the grilled chicken wrap's menu description said "bacon bits," I figured I could take the bacon off of the turkey wrap if the bacon was too fatty for me. I never imagined that my wrap would come with disgusting, chewy, stringy small bits of chopped FAT (literally - 100% fat chunks, the size of small peas) mixed in with tiny chopped bits of lettuce and even tinier bits of tomato -- all of which made it impossible to pick the bacon out of the wrap. I'm not sure why the one wrap says "bacon bits" and the other says "bacon," but if the "bacon bits" are what I found aplenty in my wrap today, then the menu should say "fat bits." The manager's customer service response to my complaint was not only inadequate, but argumentative and dismissive. The server, while very sweet, was also very inattentive. While there were just 3 tables of people in the place, the server left us sitting for 10 minutes without taking our order. She was conversing with the children at a different table instead. After we asked the manager if she (the manager) could please take our order, the manager found the server and sent her to our table instead. The server sweetly apologized, even though we did not yet complain about her absence. We only asked for someone to take our order because we were concerned about getting my friend back to work on time. After we were done with our meal, I asked for a water refill, and even though the server cheerfully said, "sure," she once again left us sitting for 8 more minutes, while she once again chatted with the same little girl nearby. Today we got bad service, a disgusting wrap, and a poor manager and poor owner response. The whole thing came off as wholly unappetizing and disappointing -- which is not what anybody wants when they go out for lunch. Think twice before eating here. Some things are great. Some things are pretty bad. Inconsistency is not good in a dining establishment. And a dismissive, argumentative, inadequate manager response to legitimate customer complaints is never good. read more

I highly recommend Morning Edition! My husband and I recently ate here on a bustling Sunday morning, and it was a very pleasant experience. There were a lot of patrons dining around 11am, but the wait time was very reasonable (about 10 minutes). The restaurant was well-staffed, and the employees were very attentive and on the spot. Feb2024: 5 : I would recommend this restaurant location and the workers who we interacted with at the restaurant. I visited this location as a result of an invitation from the neighbors of our walking group. We coordinated this location and came here for breakfast. The parking in the area is reasonable and there appeared to be several handicap parking spots available in the area as well. The parking lot was suitable for large vehicles to move without difficulty. Upon entry to the restaurant, I was greeted and seated quickly. I advised that I was waiting for several others to arrive before placing my order. Soon after, I placed my order and received my food in a timely fashion. My order was accurate as well as those of my friends eating with me. We ordered a variety of menu items that were tasty and arrived freshly prepared. read more

I've went back to Morning Edition this morning. The biscuits were fantastic as always! We order 4 and have to take at least 1, if not 2, home. I'd like to order a single biscuit with their yummy butter and preserves! Today I tried the avocado toast, which had 2 medium poached eggs and some arugula on top. I liked it a lot, although a bit more seasoning would have made it great! I added a bit of salt and that helped. You can add Everything But the Bagel seasoning for an extra cost, so maybe that would have made it better, but why the cost? Are they going to begin charging people for salt and pepper next? My fiancé had the migas with oatmeal as his side. They came with black beans, which he mixed with his eggs, rolled it up in a flour tortilla and was good to go! Warning - when they give you a plate with assorted sauces and toppings, be sure to check what it is before you use it, or you might end up with an inedible bowl of oatmeal and salsa. Yuck! Service was great, so no complaints there! The one thing that I'd really like to see is the ability to get in line via Yelp or the restaurant website.
