used to be a great bagel shop. now it is terrible. the bagels are half the size and very bland. worse than the bagels is the service. I like this store in my neighborhood and I love their product ; bagels are my focus but I frequently get a breakfast sandwich too and they never disappoint. They ingredients added to the bagels, etc. seem very fresh, I've never had a problem with the Avocado Toast or similar items. They are often busy. My times stopping by do vary, I don't use an app - some times last year the speed of service lagged considerably, the crew seemed overloaded, things are getting much better but occassionally still I'm left waiting several minutes to order. I will note that the alarms that sound from the bakery ovens are jarring and can be uncomfortable for minutes at a time for the inside seating area. Never have Blueberry bagels. I know it is silly to be upset about but they always do the same thing. Yes we have blueberry.... We make a large order for the family. Then miraculously they are sold out. And someone gets screwed. This has happened consistently over the past 5 -6 years. I ordered 2 of all bagels this morning never have had issues before. I pickup my order up no one says a thing to me I take a look and the top layer is some of the flavored ones which is a good sign. However when you check the bottom they were all plain. It looks sneaky they hide them under the others and said nothing is so shady and sneaky. Waited 30 mins for 2 plane bagels lightly toasted & 2 everything bangles toasted with no spear. When we got the bagels they were cold.

So I finally tried the food here, although I had to order via Door Dash to manage it. One of the main reasons I wanted to try this place was several people told me they had good egg bagels, which are very hard to find in the south. I was disappointed that it wasn't available, at least not on the delivery app and not on that particular Thursday. I suppose it's possible they only carry on the weekends, only offer in person or perhaps pared down their menu due to COVID19. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a turkey bacon avocado sandwich to get me through a particularly long work day. The food was okay, but the portions didn't match the price so I wasn't much more impressed than my previous attempts to come here in the past. As far as bagels go, I think they do a good job. The bagel was a good size, had the right texture and they put the appropriate amount of shmear on it. So many places will just drown your bagel in shmear to make you think you are somehow getting more food, which is a pet peeve of mine, so I'm glad they don't make that mistake. The only feedback I have on the bagels is the toasting. It is not a crisp toast but instead the same soft chewy toast you get when a burger bun gets put through a buttered bread warmer at a restaurant- visibly browned but not actually toasty. They have a decent variety of sandwiches offered. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado as it comes, which is on a potato bun with lettuce, tomato and a garden shmear. The size was tiny for over $9, I found that shocking and I don't have a very big appetite around lunch time. The potato bun had everything piled high, both toppings and the rise of the bun. It was a huge mess!!! Everything was sliding around trying to balance on a small surface and I found the resulting pile of food aggravating. I strongly recommend subbing out a bagel for the normal potato bun, that will give you a more even surface area for spreading everything out and will hopefully come out the size of a normal and more functional sandwich. The flavors were great, but the portion and mess would definitely have me make this sort of adjustment if I ever ordered it again. Now that I've finally tried this location, I just think it's okay and a little overpriced. I'm not exactly opposed to trying them again but will most likely put my efforts into trying local places over this chain. Being able to order delivery is convenient though! read more

Einstein almost always has some bad reviews, but they have never let me down. Always hot, fresh, and delicious. With this many choices, you will seriously find something you like. I love the jalapeño or the green chilies. The Apple will always make you smile. Several different flavors of smear just add to the deliciousness. The help...usually... know what their doing. We go to Einstein every Thursday morning. We have to check our order there, 50% of the time it is wrong or missing items. I normally wouldn't post a negative review, but I am just so tired of getting the wrong food or missing something. If you don't understand what someone is ordering (a BLT) ask questions. I got turkey, avocado sandwich. Definitely not what I ordered. I though BLT was pretty straight forward. Did not have the correct order and bagels were even missing from this order. I tried calling for weeks and no one answered. Finally got a hold of someone, they said they would call me back and never did. I went back to calling and got no answer. I even emailed and never heard back from anyone. I started getting ads to try their curbside pickup. There are not many places I can grab a quick breakfast on my way in the morning so I thought this was a good option. Wrong. I have given them several chances over the past 2 years. I have not once received my order within 10 mins of pulling up. Today, I finally gave them another chance. I ordered extra light, just 2 bagels, not toasted, no spread, not even a coffee. Still I waited 10 mins. I at least was offered a genuine apology instead of the usual rant about being over staffed. Also, each time I ordered a tub of flavored spread, I was always highly disappointed to find plain cream cheese without a warning of the replacement. Their process is terrible for mobile pickup orders. This is the second time in the last 3 months that I've made a grab-and-go order for it only to somehow 'disappear'. I arrived ahead of the estimated time to cook and waited inside. I waited and waited... when finally after 20 mins past the original time I asked for help but they could not find the order. Was it not even made? Did someone else walk in and grab it (purposefully or by accident)? No one has a clue at this place. Also, there is an older lady who works there that was very rude about the situation. I'm sorry that you losing or misplacing my order was such an inconvenience for you and your staff. She expects the customer to know their computer system - If the order system only shows the first name, then ask 'What is your first name!' How can I, as the customer be able to read your mind and understand your order system? Then she acts like it was my fault for the misunderstanding. That alone could have saved everyone 10 mins of their time if she were able to prompt the question correctly. I hope she learned from this encounter and knows better for when they inevitably lose another customer's order. Service has gotten worse and when something goes wrong, it is obviously the customer's fault and their prerogative to get it fixed according to management. read more

I like this location, convenient right off of 2499. This location is fairly large. It's not easy to find a bagel store with decent bagels if you've had bagels in the north east but I think Einstein have fairly good bagels. They have ton's of different bagel's and also other types of sandwiches that you can order. My favorite is jalapeno cheddar bagel with schmear. It has nice big pieces of jalapeno and it definitely has both great flavor and good heat. Their coffee is poor though unless you like weak coffee with very little flavors. I would be happy if they upgrade to better tasting coffee. Their service has always been good even when they are busy. I really like this location. read more

I recently visited this establishment. I love their pretzel bagels. They are so delicious. My wife ordered a cheese bagel with the veggie cream cheese. She enjoyed her bagel. I did have an issue and I brought it up to management. The owner was quick to resolve the issue. I wish more owners took pride in their business. Is it just me or does this place suck? So I walk in there are flies all over the bagels. I order my bagel the applewood bacon and cheese on asiago. Poor Experience- I've been here a few times. Today they tried to refuse to honor my emailed coupon for their rewards club. It's not about the money but about the principle. Okay so, the first problem with this specific einsteins is somehow the bagels are smaller then the other locations. What I mean by this is, the location in coppell (which I go to every Saturday) make there bagels a pretty big size and enough to fill you up for breakfeast but for some odd reason the ones at flower mound are like a small donut size. And they're the same price no different. Now the quality also different. Whereas, every single time I go to the one in flower mound my bagel is burnt. Every time. The one in coppell makes sure that it's still soft and yes a little burnt on the edges but that's okay. Flower mound makes it just so hard to bite into. And lastly, the staff. The first time I went here I noticed the staff were all a little younger. No problem. Until one of the soda machines was missing syrup and I asked if they could fix it. So one of the instores went to the back to I guess fix it. And after 10 minutes I saw him giggling and joking with the other instores while I had been clearly waiting forever. Then another person approached me and asked if I needed something. Once again stating the problem. Finally after waiting so long for a stupid soda. They fixed it and I sat down to eat. Some of the people here are just rude. Others not so much. Other than that the bagels are delicious at times. This isn't my preferred location but it's the closest one to me. Just need a little work on the cleanliness of the makeline and the employee work. read more

Bagels are good, but I'll echo others on the service. Prior to my last visit, I'd been in two weeks prior and left before getting my order. My fiance' and I stood at the register trying to get someones attention so we could pay and get a table. It seems that the manager was too busy watching the bagels cook in the oven (she'd just put them in) and everyone else was either on their way to/from the back room and too busy to actually take our money. Sure, they looked our way, but ignored us even when we called to them. So let's get back to this last weekend and what a lousy layout this store has. If you're going to take orders at one end and pay at the other, somebody needs to always be there or be available. It reminds me of the speech from Bull Durham - "You hit the ball, you catch the ball, you throw the ball" - but in this case it's "You take the order, you ring up the order, you make the order". It's not rocket surgery, people! I get that there's two pay registers at the end, because it takes longer to pay than it does to order (especially where credit cards are concerned), but if there's a line, you still need more than one person manning the pay registers. I still think you should pay when you place your order. It's inefficient to do it the current way if you're not going to staff correctly. Speaking of inefficient, let's talk about the coffee bar. Whoever designed this thing should be shot. Putting all the coffee accoutrements in a spot where there's an open counter in front invites people to camp out *right in front of it* to put their coffee together. Meanwhile, everyone else is wishing death on that person because they don't have the brains to grab what they need and move out of the way. Here's an idea for free: Split off the tableware/napkins from the coffee items so those who need it can get to it without having to disturb the coffee zombies, and move the coffee items to the edge of the counter so you *have* to move to the side to put your coffee together. I've seen the counter space you have available - it would work! read more
