They didn't even have the specific bagel for my sandwich but thankfully someone cancelled their order because otherwise would have had to just pick a random flavored bagel. This is my go-to spot for a great bagel sandwich and friendly service. My daughters also love the bakery items, especially the cinnamon rolls--definitely ask them to warm one up! One thing that really sets this place apart is how well they get to know their customers. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a friendly "Hello, Joey!" even when they're busy. Great bagels, assortment of flavors, but the coffee wasn't as hot as I expected. Tasted good, just not as hot as I like it. Loved the blueberry bagel! Covid review. Dining room closed and hours cut back as expected. Staff were very pleasant. I prefer their bagels to Bruegger's but this location is off the beaten path for me. I got the Nova lox bagel and a large cold brew. The sandwich was very good and the cold brew was excellent. Will return when in the neighborhood. read more

The new Maple Farmhouse Bagel was a major disappointment! The picture of the bagel doesn't even come close to what it looks like. It's half the size! If they cut the bacon or cheese any thinner I would have been eating air! And way too sweet, who adds a cream cheese frosting in the sandwich?! Maybe on a plan bagel but not a cinnamon sugar topped bagel and syrup with egg, bacon and cheese!!! I can handle the syrup. I would have changed the bagel but some else got the order. I came here a little later in the morning and they ran out of most of their bagels. I got the egg sandwich on a poppyseed bagel. So good. I have been a regular customer at the Middleburg Heights Einstein Bros. for the last 15 years. I always enjoyed their high quality bagels and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Their quality has remained true even till this day, however, something foul is amiss. The past 5 or so visits, I noticed several new employees behind the counter. With the new faces, there has been a drastic shift in work culture. The food is taking double the time to prepare, and there is a complete lack of regard to the customers time. On average, over the past few visits, I am waiting about 10 minutes. And that is with no other customers being waited on. Back a couple years ago, I would be in and out within 5 minutes, and that is with them being packed with customers. The employees also show an overall lack of courtesy to the customer as well, bordering on rude. The last straw was this morning, when I was going to pick myself up a breakfast sandwich. I walked into Einstein with absolutely nobody working in sight. Nobody working the register, nobody taking orders. No sign of anybody working in the back. It was very bizarre. I waited several minutes along with another customer. So I just shrugged my shoulders and left. No breakfast bagel, no more business. My theory is that this location is going to close soon. And the employees are just disgruntled and not doing their jobs. Or its an act of sabotage and they are trying to get the location closed in an act of defilement. Either way, they tarnished my tradition of getting breakfast there weekly. read more

the breakfast sandwich was delicious--two employees that verbally abused me. was not. Here's the situation: I am from a small town two hours away and drove up to Pearl Rd. to have my car serviced. I passed this restaurant on my drive in to the dealership and decided that I would walk my dog there while my car was being repaired. The dog would need a potty walk and I could get a sandwhich. When I brought my small dog into the store, I was thrilled that they didn't seem to mind. There were only about 3 customers in the dining room. Anyway, I ordered my sandwich and two waters. One for me and another for my dog (it was quite warm outside). Anyway, none of the employees said anything about my dog and there are no signs posted "No Dogs." After I paid and got my waters from the drink machine, I noticed a large--totally empty hallway with one lone chair. since this area was completely away from the dining room and any customers and employees, I thought we'd rest there, I could eat my sandwich, my dog could drink her water and lay on the cold tile floor in preparation for our walk back to the dealership. So we sat there roughly 1/2 an hour. Well, my dog started to whimper due to her advanced age and chronic arthritis so I gathered my little bag and put my trash in it and the two cups and put them next to the chair and left immediately as I knew my dog would start whimpering loudly and I didn't want to disturb the setting. ingot about 100 feet down the sidewalk when I hear two employees yelling for me. I stopped and they caught up with me and began tonverbally accost me on the street about not throwing my trash away. I explained the situation with my dog and they continued to accost me and then made the statement that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. I asked them why they didn't tellme that at any point during my 30 minute stay in the restaurant and they told me neber to come back to the restaurant again and that if I did they would call the police. What arrogance and entitlement! i intend to send this complaint to the owner of the restaurant because they went way too far. They knew I was struggling with a tired, hot, and old dog and they couldn't throw away a nearly wrapped bag and two cups to help me out--instead they both left their restaurant and chased me down the street threatening me. read more

I typically not a person who complains even if I am unhappy with the service! However, I went to the Einstein on Pearl Road in Cleveland my first time there. I walk in and go to the counter to place my order . There was 3 people behind the counter . Two of them were talking one was making coffee. They all saw me yet did not acknowledge me. A lady walks in who must be a regular customer and the one employee (a girl) says to her " Oh are you getting your usual" then proceeds to take care of her. Then a gentleman walks in and the male employee says " hey Bill are you getting a bagel today?" And proceeds to take. Are of him while the other male continues to make coffee!! Stopped by today for a quick, inexpensive breakfast. We did get just that. I ordered this open face bagel thing with a garlic spread, arugula, tomato, cucumber and red onion on an asiago bagel. It was good. It had a fresh taste and wasn't overwhelmingly heavy. My boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, cheese and spinach. Overall he enjoyed his as well. They gave me an everything bagel, like donut hole thing that had a cream cheese like filling to try. It was super tasty. Much better alternative to a donut hole, with the same convenience as one. I would for sure return for a few of those bagel bites while on the run. Not sure it's a place I would crave for brunch. I will also say the customer service was on point, I couldn't remember if I'd ever been there before so I needed a bit of guidance and they were super friendly. I love Einstein bagels logo, the mustache cracks me up, but their bagels are average. Kind of overpriced too. I really wish they had some sort of reward system for their loyal customers because I'm literally here 4x a week. They have a delicious assortment of everyday bagels(poppy,everything,salt,etc...) but they also have Asiago, 4cheese,spinach florentine. They have egg sandwiches and delicious cream cheese spreads. Decent bagel place. I've always preferred Bruegger's coffee selections to Einstein's. I used to prefer Einstein's for bagels because I could get hummus on a bagel for the same price as cream cheese, and it was a more nutritious and filling snack. I guess they don't do that anymore, so that is disappointing. I wanted a decaf iced coffee, which they don't have, but filling a cup with ice and hot decaf worked like a charm. Best bagel shop I've been to outside of NYC. Yes it's a chain, but they execute it well. The workers here know their regulars. They're extremely helpful and friendly, even if it's 5:30 in the morning. The coffee choices are always fresh, and the bagel sandwiches they make have never disappoint either. I usually get the egg, spinach, mushroom and swiss. The sandwich is always carefully assembled. The spinach and mushroom are drained properly before being placed on your sandwich, so they neither turn the bagel to mush nor drip as you're trying to eat. It's this attention to detail that makes me look forward to eating here. I just wish they were open for dinner - they close late afternoon. read more

This place is a godsend, as are all good bagel joints in NE Ohio. Einstein's makes great tasting bagels! The 'spinach florentine' and asiago bagels are 'to die for'! And they have a decent variety of sweets and desserts. Their cinnamon bagel bites are scrumptious! Their coffee usually tastes great too. The employees here are kind, competent, and accomodating as well. Can't beat this place for a quick breakfast or brunch! My only point I would want to bring to their attention (and this applies to any place really) is that they need to check their coffee brewing machines more often. I get dissapointed when they're out of my favorite brew at times! I am hoping they open one up nearer to where I am in the North Olmsted-Westlake-Fairview-Rocky River area, to replace the Rocky River store they closed down last year! I just tried this place for the first time. I love the variety of bagel sandwiches and spreads! The bagels were pretty damn good! Could have been a little bit softer but I enjoyed it very much! My only complaint is the girl behind the counter that helped me didn't speak English very well and speaks softly on top of it so I wasn't sure what she was saying to me half the time. Also, in the middle of my order..she never asked if I needed anything else, she switched to a new customer and then got annoyed when I asked for something else..to which I said, 'I think you were helping me first, no?' and she seemed annoyed and answered 'Yeah but you didn't say you needed something else' (she didn't give me a chance she just started getting my bagel and never came back to ask if I needed anything else, I was waiting) .... so I would say to Einstein Bros...UP the anty with your customer service. Well, I used to like this place. Just saw the manager collect all the garbage from the trash cans and set it right next to where the food was being prepared. After she set it down, she washed part of only one hand--no soap--and proceeded to take the money for my order. At the same time, The man who made part of my bagel sandwich, left the job to take another order at the register. The entire time he had on the same pair of plastic gloves. Then he returned with the same gloves on to finish making my sandwich. Watching him touch the register and then the lettuce and tomato on my sandwich, all the while standing next to the overflowing trash bags, made me not want to eat here again.
