This location has tons of seating and is never busy. It's a little tricky to get to if you're coming up University westbound from Provo/BYU, but you'll flip a B and get there just fine. Nova Lox is my favorite with potato salad. The staff is kinda of moronic and what they lack in people skills they also lack in ability to prepare food. Watch for the occasional frozen side (potato salad, fruit, etc) and you'll be fine. If they mess it up, just take it back and they'll make it right. There's no doubt that Einstein Bro Bagels makes GOOD bagels. They're fresh, decently sized, downright delicious. The cream cheese seems to be just right as well. I've never been here when it's busy...not sure it ever gets busy. Staff is awesome. My dad is a regular so they treat him like royalty, as they should. It's not expensive to eat here, but certainly the same can be had else where for a lesser price. Whether the quality will be there or not depends on where you go. This is a great place to gather which makes it attractive. I'll be returning through the years. read more

Oh how I love my black forest ham, cheddar, and egg on a sesame seed bagel in the morning with a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice. I hate the fact that there aren't more bagel places in this valley, because I'd love to check them out. While Einstein has what I want, and makes it so good, they are so expensive! For just those two items, my total came out to $7.50. Yikes. I miss Gold Coast Bagels on Lake Murray Blvd. in La Mesa. Get a bagel sandwich there for about $2.00, and orange juice (though not as good as Einstein's) for about $1.75. Now that's a deal. This morning it was a toss up between Einstein and the egg mcmuffin from McDonald's. Price-wise, McDonald's is the choice, but I knew I would order a hashbrown and didn't want that grease saturated crap stuck in me. The service is also really good. The guy that helped me seemed pretty nice and was quite speedy. Oh, and I was way too full to get a treat, but their cookies look yummy. One very nit-picky thing that I have to say is that I love creamy cream cheese, and Einstein has whipped cream cheese. It just seems to not hold as well on the bagel...that's all I'm saying. read more

A couple of weekends ago, I was visiting from out of town. We picked up some bagels and took them to my brother's home to enjoy. We got there and realized that a mistake had been made on our order. I called and they were very nice about it. They profusely apologized and offered to make it right. Mistakes happen...it's not the end of the world. I'm just most impressed with their customer service skills and feel they went above and beyond to fix the problem by replacing what was incorrect and then comping us some extra bagels for later. Whenever I am in town, I will visit there...they've earned a loyal customer! read more

Don't even want to give this a 1 star rating but I have to I order to leave a review. I will never ever go back to Einstein Bros Bagels. I was a customer that loved there food and coffee. Within the last year there bagels have honestly tasted awful. Cold, smaller portions, hardly any flavor at all. Today we order two bagels and not only was one of the bagels missing the cheese that we had asked for, along with asking to cut them in half which was whatever cuz I mean it's gotta be hard to get an order correct, BUT then one of the bagels we were two bites into and bam about 3incheCARDBOARD IN MY DAMN BAGEL. Literally bit into CARDBOARD that was cooked into my food! Thankfully we got a refund but the employee says " oh wow I'm so sorry about that, we try to have our cooking spaces very clean" hmm try harder before someone ends up getting sick because you're not trying hard enough to keep your kitchen clean. i get a simple bagel with butter. bagel is usually hollow with holes, butter is not spread whatsoever. just several globs of butter scattered. i do mobile order, usually takes 15-20 mins longer than the 15 min estimate it gives me. it's just one bagel, cmon. only bagel place near me and it's very poorly run and bad quality. read more

The bagels taste good but there are so many other issues. So, at this location, they open at 8am on Sunday. Only about half of the bagels are finished by 8:30am every Sunday. If you know you open at 8am, why not try and complete everything before you open so people can order what they want? I've written a positive review for the Draper location, which seems more on top of their game but this location is a mess! literally and figuratively. The restaurant is always messy which is unpleasant. The locks on the bathroom are frequently bent and/or broken and the bathrooms are yucky. Today's experience prompted this review because I'm pregnant and irritated. I came in at about 8:15am today, Sunday, and ordered 3 things. One of those things was a jalapeño cheddar bagel. I was told that they would be ready in 10, my pregnancy craving for this bagel prompted me to wait, so I did. To my delight (or so I thought) only about 4 minutes pass and they give me my order, JC bagel included. I was informed the bagel wasn't cut and the cream cheese was on the side so the bagel had time to firm up. Fair enough. I get home, fully prepared to toast my circle of carbs and to my dismay, its wrapped in foil. Now, I know these people are not chefs, but neither am I. What I do know, is that when you wrap something wet still hot in foil, it continues to steam, rendering it mushy. Well my bagel was basically a ball of squishy dough. So employees of Einstein's Bros. When you wrap a really hot piece of barely cooked dough tightly in foil, it steams itself, gets very wet, and very unappealing. It would have been infinitely better to place the bagel in one of your paper bags to let it firm up. I personally do not appreciate paying money for an inedible bagel. read more

I went to Einstein Bros Bagels in Orem, Utah and the restaurant was filthy. First, I was told to wait while the cashier had a personal conversation about LDS Church university wards, then I was rudely checked out. The "bottomless" coffee was completely out (not the first time), and their was a dead fly around the condiments for the coffee. To make it worst, the napkin dispenser was covered in grime, the floors were sticky and the tables had enough crumbs to make a new bagel. You would imagine it was probably busy, but there were two guests in the restaurant. The staff was too busy sharing photos on their phones rather than cleaning. Indeed a rundown, dingy, and always dirty store. But, the bagels are real bagels, the service is usually good, and there's some outside seating for enjoying cool mornings. First time here. Very clean store. Signage is poor as you cannot figure out which side to enter in to place an order.....staff is polite but unknowledgeable about their product. Had a bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. Coffee is good quality however the bagel is not even close to a traditional bagel. I inquired of the manager if these bagels were frozen before baking and he said YES. He also added that they do not boil the bagels before baking. Seems more like bread with a hole in it as they are not crunchy on outside due to short cutting the process. Staff was not even aware of how bagels are traditionally made. This review pertains to the 556 University Pkwy store in Orem, and I've had it with this location's incompetence. Since the store near 1600 North in Orem closed a couple years ago, this one is now the closest to us. Unfortunately, this store and restrooms are rarely clean, the signage and order line are confusing, and, although most of the employees are friendly, they don't know how to operate a restaurant. They don't know about their products, never seem to be ready for business, and just don't follow through. My family and I like the chocolate chip bagels, but this store never has more than one or two in stock no matter what time I try to order. Even when I try to call ahead in the morning, I can't get product. Last Saturday, the 8th of August, was the final straw. I called at about noon to place an order for a baker's dozen of chocolate chip. The gal on the other line politely told me that they were out (surprise, surprise). I asked if I could place an order over the phone and pick them up before closing. She didn't know, so she put me on hold for a couple of minutes. When she returned, she cheerily told me that unfortunately the bagels would not be ready today. When I pressed for an explanation since they had 5 whole hours before closing at 5:00 p.m., she again put me on hold for a minute. When she returned, she said that the bagels were frozen and would need to thaw (doesn't give much confidence in the quality of the product, huh?). I asked if I could place an order for the next morning, Sunday. She said that would be fine and took my phone number and said the bagels would be ready at 10:00 a.m. I asked that someone call me at about 9:45 a.m. to confirm, and she said okay. Well, it's 5 minutes to 10 the next morning and I've yet to receive a call, so I call them again. Another lady answers. I ask if my order will be ready. She doesn't know what I'm talking about. So I firmly, but politely, give her my name and number and she puts me on hold. When she comes back she tells me that the bagels are not ready. I just hung up the phone right there. This store really needs to shape up and act like it wants to be in business. The managers need to be replaced and the workers retrained. So we've decided once and for all to just spend the extra 15 minutes to visit the location in Provo, which always has fresh product in stock and WILL make up your order on time if you call ahead. It's a shame too because I live 1 minute away from University Pkwy. read more

I love taking my family here for an inexpensive, lazy Sunday breakfast. The staff is very friendly and willing to please. They get orders out quickly. The bagels are always amazing; my kids like the Chocolate Chip bagel with maple shmear, and I enjoy their Cheese bagels with jalapeño shmear. Their Everything and Pumpernickel are also delicious. The one star reduction is for a moderate lack of cleanliness in the the bathroom: It's not horrible but it's not great. I'd also remodel the bathrooms ASAP, as they don't match the style of the store very well. read more

Sure, Starbucks is right across the street, but when you need a decent everything bagel, toasted, with a tang of sun-dried tomato smear, it has to be Einstein's. Also, the coffee's just as good... or better. Service was pleasant and quick. It wasn't busy when I went. The place does seem a little run down. (Coffee station not wiped down, tables poorly wiped, banquet seats repaired with peeling duct tape, etc.) Nothing life threatening, but something they might want to work on, which is why I dropped the stars. read more

I recently stopped in at the Orem Einstein Bagel store, a location to which I had gone for over ten tears. I am sorry to report that recent management changes were made without consideration of customer care. They have hired an extremely rude female manager there that sorely lacks personal skills. After my order was totally screwed up, I was told that I was wrong on my order and no apology was forth coming. I just stood there aghast and promised myself I would not go back after the way I was treated. I ordered a cold drink and was served a hot drink and ordered a bagel toasted and was served one cold. My discussion with the manager feel on deaf ears. I will not be returning after being a ten year customer. read more

Honestly worst Einstein's I've ever been to. We came mid Sat morning and they weren't busy. We wanted two cinnamon sugar bagels, the girl said they were out. So we changed our orders, my husband ordered something else, to which they were out so he changed it again and ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich, while I ordered their wheat one, I wanted it toasted. When being rung up my husband asked for the smallest fountain drink and the girl on cashier was like "we don't have a small" to which he repeated "then just give me the smallest one you have". Our two separate bagels came crammed on the same plate so we had to lean in to share the plate. I bit into my hard crusty bagel, which wasn't toasted while my husband went to the counter, his sausage breakfast sandwich came without sausage. They seemed annoyed to fix it, even though they messed up...but they gave him a complimentary cookie (which is a nice gesture) except the cookie was rock hard, biting into it actually hurt. read more

I really like the Orem Einstein bros bagels, they are really good and I have yet to have an issue with them. I did notice there seems to be a lot of bad reviews but it also seems those are from a year+ ago so maybe that's why. I really like how friendly their staff is and how quick it usually is to get through the line. First off, I am a huge fan of Einsteins. And now that they have started serving Nutella, it is even better (you will come to see I am a big fan.) I am a frequent visitor, but my last two or three visits to this location have been disappointing. On the first trip I had seen online that some Einsteins locations have started serving Nutella. I asked the gentleman taking my order if they were one of those locations. He rudely gestured to a sign and said something along the lines of "Looks like it." Um, okay rude. On the second visit I ordered my usual and sat there for about 15 minutes waiting, when there were only a few people in the place. Lots of chatter behind the counter, but no sense of urgency to get my order out. On the third visit just today, I ordered a Cinnamon Sugar bagel with Nutella (yes, yes, I have an obsession) And as I sat and waited another customer went up to the counter and notified them that they had put the wrong schmear on her bagel. Shortly after they brought my (to-go) order out and I left. Nothing major right? Well I got all the way back to my office and it turns out when I ordered my Cinnamon Sugar bagel, they somehow heard Apple Cinnamon. I'm allergic to apples. At least they got the Nutella right. But that is kind of hard to mistake. While my gripes may be small and mistakes happen all the time, the service at this location really needs to step it up.
