I have been coming to this location for years now and upon my surprise picking my online order up, I was given a complete different order not even including 1 of the 2 sandwiches I had ordered. Upon calling the store, I was referred to call their 800 number or post online, so that is where I'm going with this. Pretty upset as I ordered food to eat during my lunch break but clearly Einstein's was unable to make that happen! Hopefully they respond to my inquiry for refund as I should not be paying for food items I both, did not order nor want. read more

This place is so delicious and a great experience. They make amazing unique bagels with delicious components and spreads! They are very helpful and the food was nice and hot still by the time I picked it up and got it home! Love the food and have to get it again sometime soon! Also, am a east coaster and know a good bagel when I come across one! For being out on the west coast you can almost hardly tell the difference, it's similar to Manhattan Bagel chain if I could compare it but, it's got those nice bagels with the melted cheese on top which is a favorite and a great menu! read more

Went here today with a few others for breakfast. For starters, I wouldnt eat in here. We did and it was a mistake, not major but unnecessary. It's cramped, not too clean and not too welcoming. The food we ordered- four sandwiches, coffee and juice were all adequate. I bet if we changed our sandwiches with one another we would never have known. The coffee was meh and some or the pots or containers looked empty. The employees seemed nice but watching them work at that counter made it worse. The prep counter didnt look clean. One of us had to use the restroom and said the same. I dont need to go back there. read more

I asked for an iced latte and received a hot one. The woman next to me also got a hot one when she ordered an iced one. She took our drinks and came back with iced. Instead of remaking the latte she just poured the hot latte over ice. You can't do this because it will melt the ice and water down the coffee. I tasted it and It didn't even taste like coffee. Just water. I ordered three shots and received none. When you mess up an order you should Re do it not just try to fix it. You can't put steamed milk Into an iced coffee it will not taste the same. She obviously was not trained on espresso drinks or she would've known to redo it. Very upset I had to pay for this morning coffee that was basically water. read more

I've been coming to the sign signs for years and had a very positive experience on this visit. Not only was the staff extremely friendly but help me understand an issue that I was having with their online app. (apparently you have to load money onto a rewards card before you can check out.) I would have give them five stars but they did not slice my bagels, or put my everything bagel in a separate bag (I was mixed in with the sweet bagels). Although I haven't been there since the coronavirus and do not know if they changed policy or I I have to ask. read more

Walked in and only had 1 person in front of me who was ordering. I wait, order mine, and wait some more. Took 10 minutes for someone working the line to call out asking their other employees hey did we start Ashley's order? ... wait some more just to not get my whole order. The employee who handed me my bag apologized for the confusion behind the line. I suggest telling your employees to get off their phone while in eye sight of customers who are waiting for their items just to be forgotten! read more

Feels kinda prejudiced when you're the only customer of color and get served last. First time at this location for Einstein and we won't be back. We stood at the counter for at least 5 minutes being ignored by the sullen girl with long brown hair (not tied back - gross), before we figured out that we had to order at the opposite end of the counter. A quick mention from sullen girl that we had to go to the other end would have been nice. Placed our order (at the other end of the counter) - one bagel toasted with butter, one bagel with a schmear, and one turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich. Went back to the original spot to pay. While we stood there waiting for one of the four employees to acknowledge our presence and check us out we watched sullen girl pause in her food prep to check her phone with her gloved hands,then go back to the food without changing gloves. Double gross. Got our bag of food, and checked to make sure there were 3 items (because while we were waiting the guy in front of us not only got a cold egg sandwich, but was also missing a sandwich). Then of course, once we got home we discovered that the turkey was missing from the turkey sandwich. This may be the worst customer service I've encountered in a long time. read more

The bagels were good. We liked those - the coffee however, plegh! I got a caramel cream cold brew and it tasted like someone put out a cigar in some water and handed it over. They did put caramel syrup but you couldn't even taste it. No joke my stomach was burning after one sip. Will probably return for the bagels but that's a "hell naw" for me on the coffee. read more

I finally asked a woman working there when it would be ready and they said they never got the order, even though it went thru on my phone and I got charged for it. I told her this and she finally found the order ticket and then said someone must've taken my order. I asked if I could just cancel my order and get a refund since I was late for something and needed to leave and she said she couldn't do that. read more

Today, I stopped to get a dozen bagels to bring home. I told the woman which bagels I wanted and we both agreed that it equaled 13. I made sure to ask for freezer bags as we were walking to the checkout. After she rang me up, and started to walk to the back, I called out and said, are there freezer bags? She yelled back that everything was In the box. A few hours later, my husband came home and began cutting the bagels to put in the freezer. Spoiler: No freezer bags AND was only given 11 bagels! What a disappointment, especially when you pay for a dozen. Moral- check your boxes before you leave this store! read more

2 weeks in a row, I called on Friday and ordered 3 dozen (specific) bagels to be ready for me on Saturday morning at 6am. 2 weeks in a row the phone call was pleasant and efficient and the bagel order was fresh, ready on time, and delicious. This is my new favorite Einstein. read more

The absolute worse location! I will never come back. Place a mobile order ahead of time. Tried calling for the curbside pick up to avoid the crowd inside due to the COVID pandemic no answer. I go inside and wait several minutes and everyone else was served at that point - trying to get staff's attention and they all go to the back with the exception of two workers who were making food. One employee texting on their cell phone looks up at me and literally ignores me but continues to text for several minutes. Finally someone tends to me to tell me "we were waiting for you to get here because we are out of croissants." I ordered 3 croissant sandwiches. I changed the bread to potato rolls and waited another 15 minutes. Customers coming after me made comments to me "still waiting?" The kicker for me is I'm trying to practice safe physical distancing, wear a mask and gloves. All the employees had masks on but the one that was making the food, was wearing the mask as a chin support....literally not covering her nose and mouth!!! This place is disgusting and I would never recommend to anyone nor will I return!! read more

We are frequent customers of your store. Usually there are no problems. Until a higher priced order is made. My husband visited to pick up a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese. I only order this bagel every three months or so due to the exuberant overcharging as a salmon and caper sandwich and not just a bagel with cream cheese and lox. That said, this is yet another time (of a bout three times now - I know shame on me for expecting them to fulfill this correctly for once) this store has botched it up. I have to bring this to someone's attention. For the third time in a row, they took my husbands order of 1 - toasted onion bagel with plain cream cheese and add lox. He also ordered a drink. So $12 for a bagel with cream cheese and lox and a drink. However when he got home and we opened the bag and opened the box there sat a plain, un-toasted bagel with very little cream cheese and lox. Huzzah for the lox at least. Since that is what drives the price to a ludicrous amount. But the bagel was totally wrong. The cream cheese looked like it was the very last bit on earth, smeared so thin, it barely covered the plain white bread cold rubbery bagel. Not toasted. Not an onion bagel. So disappointed. I am not sure if this is intentional to save money and totally gyp frequent paying customers when they order a high priced item once in a while. Or if the staff is inadequately trained to listen to a customers order and fulfill it correctly. Both are resulting of the loss of a very long standing customer. I hope they fix this so others will not have to deal with the same disappointment. read more

Absolutely love this place we go here at least 3 times a week. My favorite is green Chile with egg and cheese, try it two types of cheese and salsa on the side. Their orange juice is always fresh, and the coffee actually wakes you up not just gives you a sugar rush like Dutch Bros. read more

We have been to this store, #3435, 2945 S Alma School Road, several times and the service remains consistently bad. Today an elderly customer ordered a bagel and was seated at a table waiting. The server called out the customers name, saw who and where the customer was seated and put the bagel on the counter telling the customer the order is here for them. We ordered two plain bagels, 10 minutes later I had to go back to the cashier and request my order for a second time- I did get our order this time. Due to the slow service the customers were lined out the door, the female manager came out from behind the counter and told the customers to close the door "...you can wait outside.." This will be our last visit to this store as it constantly has rude and slow customer service. read more

This is my usual Einstein's location and I would normally not feel the need to leave a review but I was hoping they'd see this! This morning (Saturday) I went in around 10am and the system was completely down, so they were only taking cash. They had all hands on deck and although the line itself was about 10-15 minutes, once I got my order in I waited maybe a minute before it was ready and I was out the door! Everyone seemed to be in good spirits despite the inconvenience. The cashier working was efficient and did all of the calculations in her head (!!!) and kindly apologized to everyone for the wait when they checked out. I can always count on this location to be positive and efficient even when experiencing such an inconvenience like this! read more

I don't normally do Einsteins outside of this location but this location keeps my business with their great employees and amazing service. Their food and coffee always meets expectations as well. I have only had one bad experience where both of my bagel sandwiches were wrong. Appearently I got the guy who ordered before me meal. I didn't realize it until I drove home. Luckily I live 2 minutes away. I drove back and they were able to correct the situation and were great about it. No compensation was offered, but it wasn't a big enough inconvenience to me for me to need or want compensation. Other might be different. I have also had enough positive experiences with this location to know that they are always on their game and mistakes do happen. I appreciate them handling my issues in a timely manner and their sincere apology. I will be returning when I get back into town. read more

I went here this morning to pick up some coffee and bagels for my family and I. They were very helpful and courteous. There was a confusion on my order but it was my fault. It was easily fixed and I really appreciated the excellent customer service. Everything was neatly packaged and cups, utensils were in the bag without me asking. The bagel sandwich preparation staff at Einstein Bros Bagels location at: 6350 S McClintock Dr #102, Tempe, AZ 85283 are woefully incompetent. Twice now in a row my take out order of an everything bagel sandwich with lox, onion and chive shmear, light on the shmear has been prepared incorrectly. The first order I received was prepared heavy with plain smear but at least it had lox. Today my wife came back to the office with a bagel sandwich, heavy on the shmear and two tomatoes...NO LOX. I am disinclined to leave the office, drive 10 minutes back to your McClintock and Guadeloupe location and ask for a correctly prepared replacement order...I have already been through that discomforting process the first time the order was incorrectly prepared. Want to know how that experience went? Aside from the inconvenience of having to drive all the way back to the store, once I did arrive, first I was ignored by the preparer, then I was given a sneering attitude when what I was expecting her to say was something simple like "I'm sorry, let me rectify this right away". I called her out for her attitude and then had choice words with the manager about his employee and her attitude and as a dissatisfied customer who is not only in the right to expect the order made correctly but should not have to endure a sneering attitude to boot upon return to that location. I expect the order done right and replaced with an apology for the inconvenience. I am not going to repeat the experience, leave my office yet again, this morning, drive back to the location just to get my order right. I mean really, though, two tomatoes and no lox? I love AZ but being from NYC, there is one thing that AZ doesn't do well and that is bagels. Einstein bagels are NOT real bagels, they are basically round bread. If you are looking for an authentic bagel, this is not the place to go.
