No wait if you want to sit inside today!
Scott K.

This place was very busy the morning we went and I was afraid we would have a long wait, but it we got a table very quickly. Our server was very friendly, and later on never let my glass get close to empty, which was awesome because it was busy. We had the bacon and blue burger and one of the Benedicts (I can't remember if it was the smoked salmon or the crab cake...eggs Benedict aren't my thing). The burger was delicious and the fries were awesome. It was some of the best blue cheese I had eaten in a long time. The place looks large from the pictures but it's actually kind of small on the inside, and it's very loud. Add to that the table beside us with some of the loudest, most obnoxious customers I've heard and that made it less than amazing, but the food and service were great!

This brunch spot was a great find! The service was quick and friendly, and the drink options were on point. Everything from classic mimosas to spiked coffees. I loved that the mimosas came in so many flavor choices; I tried the blueberry, and it was delicious. The French toast was good. Nothing mind-blowing, but still satisfying. The bacon, though, totally stole the show...crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Prices were reasonable, and there was plenty of seating, both outdoors and inside, which made for a relaxed, easy going vibe. Overall, a solid spot for a casual brunch with great drinks and quick service. Very dog friendly for well behaved dogs.

Banana Banana Stuffed French Toast Platter with sausage patty

Solid breakfast spot in this part of Naples! Food: banana French toast was very good! It wasn't super sweet, but just the right amount. We got the platter, which is nice to add a little extra protein and breakfast samplings to the dish. Bacon and sausage skilled was pretty solid too. It could have used a little more sausage in ours? But the potatoes were tasty and you can never go wrong with a skillet. Service: the server checked on us regularly, and the food arrived within about 15 mins of the order being placed. We were also seated immediately inside. Ambiance: indoor and outdoor seating, with most of the seating being outdoors. It's close to the water (but not on it) so it is breezy outside. We sat inside, there are a couple of small TVs along the walls (volume not on) but it wasn't very loud inside.

This is a no frills kinda place but man was it delicious. They have a little bit of everything and everything we tried was really amazing. We had the Banana stuffed French toast and it was greasy in the best way, haha. Buttery goodness. I wouldn't get that alone because it really is too much but man it checked all the boxes. I also got the avocado toast with over easy eggs and it was a great balance. The bacon was delicious; I asked for it crispy and they delivered. My husband for the huevos rancheros and he truly enjoyed them. The service was great and on point. It was 8 of us and we were in and out in less than 1.5 hours. I honestly want to go back tomorrow and try some more things.

Found this place by accident while staying at the Naples Bay Resort. Cute little place near the bay. Great variety of breakfast and lunch options. Great service from Felecitie. We had the healthy egg white scramble and the pancakes. The server said the pancake recipe was new so it had become quite popular. I see why! It was d"sweet, buttery, fluffy and delicious.

We were in Naples for a weekend getaway and it is somehow my thing to go to brunch places of a new city I go to, and EJ's Bayfront Cafe was highly suggested. The place was not hard to locate, it is nearby Tin City. Luckily, We were able to find parking immediately but the plaza where EJ's is located is a busy plaza so I can imagine how it can be difficult sometimes. My Boyfriend got the breakfast burrito. It was suggested by our server. I had a small piece of his burrito and my boyfriend and I agree that it tastes good. The only thing is, I wish it was a little bigger. I got the Philly Steak Skillet. I always want my eggs scrambled no matter what, but I should've gotten Sunny Side Up for this one. It tasted great but i know would've been better if my eggs were cooked sunny side up. For dessert, We got the Banana Foster French Toast. This was the BEST french toast i had in a while. It can be really sweet as it is sugar coated, but that is what makes it unique than the others. Definitely my favorite. Our server was amazing, had great suggestions and was very welcoming!

For dessert, we split the special Crème Brûlée topped with diced fruit. We enjoyed the dessert so much, we purchased one for a sweet family of four sitting next to us. Amazing service and delicious food…read more My friends and I went to The Local before a movie at the Regal movie theater nearby. We were seated in a comfortable booth, and the overall ambiance was so lovely with high ceilings. We got there in time to enjoy a happy hour dinner menu. I ordered the Pork Ragu over Gnocchi as featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." It was so yummy! And the portion was very generous. Service was also very friendly and helpful. We had a great server. I'll definitely return when I'm back in the area.

Naturally smoked turkey with brie, pesto mayo, and tomato jam on gluten free bread, served with a fresh Caesar salad. Pretty good sandwich. The turkey was flavorful, the bread held up nicely, and the salad was crisp with a good coating of parmesan. Decent value for what you get. My wife ordered the fish tacos, which came with a side salad topped with blue cheese crumbles and red onion. The presentation looked great with nice char on the fish, fresh pico, and shredded cabbage piled high. But the execution fell short. The fish itself was chewy and not very tender. That's a problem when fish tacos are one of your popular dishes. On the bright side, our waitress was nice and attentive. No complaints on the service front. The cozy atmosphere lives up to the farm to table vibe they're going for. The Verdict: The Local delivers a decent lunch with good service and fresh ingredients. My smoked turkey sandwich hit the spot, but those fish tacos need work. Four stars for a solid overall experience, but maybe skip the tacos next time.

The drinks were creative and tasty, and while the wine list is short, it is very well curated. We started with the octopus, the bread and butter, and the mushrooms as appetizers. All three were excellent, but the octopus was the clear standout. I had never seen it served in that particular style before. It was a completely new preparation for me and absolutely delicious. The bread and butter was also finger licking good. For my main course, I ordered the cod gnocchi. I am still thinking about this dish three days later because the flavors and textures were so unusual and memorable. To finish the meal, we shared the chocolate tart and the tiramisu bread pudding. Both were delicious, though they did not feel quite as uniquely extraordinary as every other bite and sip we had throughout the night. One of our party members is gluten and dairy free, and our waitress was incredibly helpful in navigating the menu for her. She was thrilled with the shrimp from the daily specials menu. My only minor critique is that I wish they had a dessert option that would have worked for her dietary restrictions. Overall, this was a fantastic meal with top tier service.

The service was friendly throughout the meal, but everything moved surprisingly slowly, from ordering to receiving the food. We tried the salad, burger, and lamb kebabs. The salad and burger were decent but nothing particularly memorable. The lamb kebabs were unfortunately the biggest disappointment of the meal. They were quite salty and the meat was much tougher than expected, making them difficult to enjoy. Overall, the restaurant makes a good first impression with its ambiance and welcoming service, but the food did not quite match the setting. While the experience wasn't terrible, I'm not sure there was enough to make me eager for a second visit.

But sometimes simple done right is all you need. The wings were on point, the beers were cold, and the vibes were immaculate. Great music, laid-back atmosphere, the kind of spot where you walk in stressed and walk out smiling. And then there's Tina. She waited on us again, and honestly, she's a big part of why we keep coming back. Always awesome, always on top of it, makes you feel like a regular even if you're not. Good service elevates a good meal into a great experience, and Tina delivers every time. Here's my only complaint: I wish there was one closer to Fort Myers. We'd be here all the time if it wasn't a trek. And honestly? This concept would crush it as a larger restaurant with a full bar. Palm Beach Boulevard is seriously lacking in quality restaurant options, Backyard Fire Grill would absolutely dominate that area. Just putting that out into the universe. Someone make it happen. The Verdict: Wings, beers, great vibes, and Tina taking care of us, another five-star visit to Backyard Fire Grill. This place has the formula dialed in.
