Very welcoming and good recommendations for skincare. She has a public kiosk location type at Federal Plaza in Rockville as well as a more private location in her home near Aspen Hill area. I've tried both and have not been disappointed. I needed my brows shaped before a family event and she was able to accommodate as late as 8pm in her home office location. Note: Due to home/ cultural rules she will not allow men in her home location and by appointment only at home. The open kiosk services anyone. Walk-Ins and appointments. She accepts Zelle, cards and cash.

She just kept motioning as if I was supposed to know what to do, even though it was my first time there. And again, I couldn't care less if you're on the phone, as long as your work doesnt show that you were distracted by that. My eyebrows look horrible. And i truly believe it was because she couldn't stop her conversation for just two moments to properly do my eyebrows or even just ask me what I wanted. This location is beautifully decorated and immediately puts you in a calm place when you walk in. They offer a big basket of snack while you wait or to enjoy during your service. They have cute little drink menu of cocktails and mocktails (I've tried all the cocktails). Im a natural girl so I can't speak on the acrylic and gel, but I can say that my natural last me two weeks. There are plenty talented techs that do beautiful designs. There is something for everyone here.

Even though the online platform allowed me to make this appointment, arrived there she did not have an appointment with Cindy but did in fact have one with Kay. she told Kay she had tips on, but not acrylic and she did not want to put acrylic over the tips. She just wanted K to file them down a little shorter and continue with the gel manicure. The price for that service would have been about $50. Kay said she had to get a fill of acrylic and then charged her another fee for the certain shape of her nails she wanted and did not cut her cuticles or any other service. She was dissatisfied. I called back and the receptionist said they could refund me the money but I had to come in person with my card as she paid with Apple Pay and they couldn't put it back on there. I said I was out of town this week but would be back on Saturday. When I arrive today, the manager told me we do not do refunds for any reason. And she could give me a $10 gift card instead. I do not want to go back and spend any gift card. I wanted my money back because I did not get the person I wanted and I did not get the services I wanted. I don't even wanna give this gift card to any person because I'm so dissatisfied.

I'll actually be back because the salon is close to my new job and I liked the space, but THIS visit was not it. I normally wear long nails, but this time I told my tech I wanted them cut down to a medium or "smedium" length. I thought we understood each other, but unfortunately, they ended up way shorter than what I asked for. From the first few nails, I started pointing out that they were looking a little too short, but I didn't realize there was still going to be more cutting, filing and shaping. By the end, they were basically down to my fingertips. The shaping was another issue. I even asked what shape she was going for because some nails looked coffin while others looked almond. At that point, there wasn't much that could be done because so much length had already been filed away. I was vocal throughout the service about what I wanted and what I didn't like, and she said she understood me, but the end result was basically everything I said I didn't want. There may have been a communication barrier, because I genuinely don't know where things got lost. Her actual polish application wasn't bad, but once the length and shape are wrong, the rest really doesn't matter much. I still paid in full. I wasn't offered a discount, a future fix or anything else, which was disappointing considering I was clearly unhappy with the result. Literally was on the brink of eruption. This is probably the worst nail job I've gotten in years. I don't use the word hate often, but I really hate how my nails look right now. That particular tech will never touch my hands again. I am willing to give the salon another chance with a completely different nail tech because I otherwise liked the establishment and the location is convenient. I'm just praying for a COMPLETELY different outcome next time.
