Staff predominantly speaks Spanish, but they are also fluent in English as well. Friendly and patient, no issues with the service. The parking lot was crowded and tight, luckily we scored a spot right in front. There were some shady looking characters lurking around in the parking lot, just be more aware. Condiments galore: A very healthy variety of of hot sauce to choose from. Some of them I never seen before. That Black Hot Seafood Sauce tho... It was my first time trying this place. I did a phone order for pick up. I didn't know what to ask for but the person who answered was nice and helpful. They have so many options. I tried the Aguachile De Rio and requested it to make it spicier. It wasss sooooo gooooddd! It tasted fresh, a little sweet from the mango, and definitely spicy. They have good portions too. I came on Yelp expecting to find numerous bad reviews but surprisingly not. Ordered a standard aguachile, to go, it rings up for $36.28. Not a single item on the online menu is that expensive. Then I see I am also charged a 4% service charge. Sorry what? I am paying for the food, I took it to go. What service am I being charged for? Raise your prices, don't deceive customers with additional fees. 7 small shrimp in the aguachile. I basically spent $36 on cucumber and citrus water. Oh, and it doesn't even taste particularly good. Best aguachiles I've ever had!! I chose the chiltepin aguachiles and they were just unbelievably tasty. Definitely spicy but the kind of spicy that has you wanting more. Tosada de camaron was also solid. The perfect amount of food for two people! Restaurant had Banda playing, which made it feel even more like home. Came here yesterday cuz a buddy of mines said this place is really good. He asked me to take him so I said 'ok' This is a little hole in the wall kinda place. Didn't really look at the menu but he ordered the ceviche and the shrimp aguachile. This is definitely the best ceviche I ever had. Never had aguachile but that was also really good. The shrimp is tender and freshly seasoned with various salts and citrus to make your mouth smack. The portion is good for 2 people to share so you can eat more off the menu. I love the fully cooked shrimp Ceviche here which comes with a tomato pico de gallo salsa with citrus and not have a spicy kick to it. This place is a hidden gem!!! Whenever we are craving ceviche we come here and order the shrimp and octopus ceviche! Make sure to add mango for a nice fruity punch that really balances out the flavors. The seafood is fresh and the octopus chunks are soft and plump. Comes with 4-5 tostadas so we usually purchase an extra set or go the supermarket to get more tostadas or some tortilla chips.
