I 'am disappointed with this bakery!! I purchased a $105.00 cake with a "discount" that fell apart within 20 min. I came here and talk to the owner, I showed her the picture of the cake I wanted her to make for me for my son's birthday. I asked if it was possible for her to make it for me,just like the picture witch she did... it looked decent, however the cake started melting and falling within 20 min. ( and the day wasn't even a hot day). The roses fell apart the cake was melting and the flavor was soooooooooo sweet like as if they had pour the whole bag of sugar on it. If I pay $105.00 for a cake I expect to be good and not to melt. The cake was only for like 20- 25 people and it wasn't good and bad quality. The had to changed the color on the cake like two times because they did it wrong the first time and they list the picture I had gave them. I came in to check up on the cake a day before and I met with the other owner a short bald man, who was really, really rude. and did not want to show me the cake. He said; he said I couldn't see anything and to wait til the next day and if I didn't like it too bad to just go somewhere else. Ugh!! like if I can really find somewhere else to get the cake done when the party was the next day. Never again will I come to this bakery. I had a bad experience, and the owners are really rude. El Aguila Bakery, I've been coming to this bakery since I was little. The one thing I absolutely love and was introduced to was their Agua De Platano which is a banana water. They have it once a week and I always call to see what days they have it. You will fall in love with that drink... I love it so much that I bought a whole 5 gallons of that drink and shared it with everyone in my family! I always recommend the bakery to everyone I know. And also their pans, tamales, and everything else at the bakery are really good! Also keep in mind if your a clean freak like me for inspection from the Los Angeles County Department Of Public Health they have an (A) so that must tell you something! read more

The El Aguila Bakery is a "Must-see" stop when at Fisherman's Wharf. It is fun to watch all of the bread creations being made by the bakers, as well as purchase and take some home for friend's and family. We also ate at the cafe, and had pizza and a grilled cheese sandwich. Both were delicios but I wished I would have tried one the soups in the bread bowl as they looked divine! So I decide to take breakfast for the office, my boss is a big fan of tamales, we'll let me tell you this place has the worst nastiest Greasiest tamales ever can you believe we all got sick from these tamales it was horrifying. I felt bad because I was the cause of bringing undercooked nasty tamales to work I will never go back to purchase anything from here again it's sad to say but so true. First of all i just want to say that i had amazing customer service and got treated so well. It felt very welcoming once you walk in. The bread tasted like it was just right out of the oven! So soft!
