Those chips have serious potential. If they were served hot and fresh, they would easily be some of the best around. The queso, on the other hand, was a miss. It had no real flavor, arrived cold, and at $12, it felt overpriced. My advice. Get the chips. Skip the queso. For food, we ordered the taco flight for $49 and tried the Kickin' Chicken, GA Gold, Barbacoa Verde, and Garden Chimichurri tacos. Unfortunately, the biggest issue carried over into the tacos. Every single one came out cold to barely warm. I'm big on food being served hot, especially when you're the only people in the restaurant. That part was disappointing because the flavors themselves were solid. Kickin' Chicken had good seasoning, wasn't overly spicy, and the chicken was juicy. GA Gold was the clear winner. The flavor was excellent and had it been hot, it would have been outstanding. Barbacoa Verde had great flavor, fresh toppings, and crispy beef. Again, ruined by temperature more than anything. The Garden Chimichurri was fresh and full of flavor. The chimichurri sauce stood out the most, although the rice and beans were cold like everything else. I'm not here to tear this place down. Opening early is hard and I get that. There's real potential here. If they fix the temperature issues and keep the flavor level where it is, this place could turn into one of the best taco spots in Towne Lake.
