Great breakfast burrito! I read on Reddit to ask for the potatoes in my burrito to be hash browns. It's true - it probably elevated this to one of the best breakfast burritos we had on our recent trip. Lotsa bacon, eggs, cheese, beans, and hash browns. It was the perfect blend of flavor. I used the chipotle salsa from the salsa bar and that gave it more character. This place wasn't on our way back to the freeway to head home, but was worth going a few miles out of the way. I ordered 6 chicken rolled tacos and the tacos had almost to nothing of chicken. I could only taste the tortilla because there was no chicken. We've never tried this place on any of our visits, and decided to try someplace new for Mexican food. It was kind of a mixed bag for us. I had 1 grilled chicken taco and wanted rice and beans with it. I was unable to get some kind of a one item combo and received 8oz each of rice and beans, which was way too much food. When I order a grilled chicken taco, generally it's white meat chicken, but not here. Even though it was not white meat, the chicken was very flavorful. My daughter liked her carne asada taco combo, and my hubby liked his crispy tacos. The reason I came to this restaurant is that there is a salsa bar. The problem was when I asked for salsa cups, they keep them behind the counter and only gave us 3. I put some directly on my taco and kept having to go up with my one little cup to get more for my rice and beans. To me, that feels stingy. I never take more than I need without purchasing a larger cup from taco shops. Me and the family have been going here for years. I loved Asadero first because their asada was so damn good. Really good quality meat. Second, customer service and three, the salsas! But as of lately something has changed. I understand a lot of things changed with Covid. But since re-opening the asada is not the same. The meat is full of gristle/fat. It is definitely not the same asada they used to serve. I miss the days when the polite young man worked the register. He was on it. There is one young lady that works the front now and she is rude most of the times we have called in and picked up. We have tried it several times hoping things would improve but they have not. Yum!! Great burritos here at El Asadero! They put a generous amount of protein & fresh fillings, and the meat is seasoned perfectly. Both the chicken burritos ($6.99) & carnitas burritos ($7.49) are great; they are a little bit smaller than most restaurants' burritos, but the price reflects that, and the quality of the food itself is worth the visit. The carnitas burrito also had quite a bit of guacamole, which I really appreciated. Welcoming staff, reasonable wait time, and lots of seating. This is the worst taco shop I've ever had, i literally threw my entire burrito away... we sat inside and you can hear the cooks cussing in Spanish lol, you see i wouldn't care about that if the food was actually good... but it was gross.There was also a foul smell inside which should've been a red flag for us to go somewhere else. It's kinda awkwardly tight spaced in there as well, tables are super close to each other, not handicap friendly in my opinion. We sat inside, got our food quickly. the tortilla is soggy and everything inside is falling out, sloppy work. I couldn't even hold it because everything was flying out my burrito lol. I tried cutting my burrito and meat was so hard i couldn't even do that. asada meat from my burrito had the most gushiest LIKE GUSHY pieces ever and it was mixed with hard asada pieces that u cant even chew on.
