My favorite restaurant in Merced! The food is always fresh, they are generous on the portion size and the staff is friendly. I always order the same thing, the fried mojarra fish seasoned and covered in a garlic and butter sauce. It comes with rice, beans and salad. This dish is flavorful and is a very satisfying meal. Oh, and if you love oysters don't miss out on getting a dozen fresh oysters on the half shell. Simply delicious! read more

Love this place! My sister just bought a new home in Merced and we have tried out 4 Mexican restaurants so far. This one, by far, is the best of the best and now the only one we go to. The hospitality here was just amazing! Came to Merced to visit grandma and so we stopped by based of reviews and got to go. As we waited Angelica offered us chips and beans. The food is great so far we got mojarra dorado, ceviche, Camarones a la plancha, and a quesadilla. 10/10 recommended and my grandma is happy to find a new place to come eat at. The seafood cocktail is Fantastic! Huge ! Filled with all the goodies from the sea. Large shrimp top the whole thing off. I'll have to order the fried fish next time. Food was terrible. Ordered Ceviche de camaron, when it came, couldnt even tell it was shrimp. Called waitress asking why it appeared we were served FISH instead of shrimp, she insisted it was shrimp. Two stars, one because they had a good show on, another because we got seated fast, it wasn't busy. Other than that it wasn't what we expected. My husband got a burrito supreme, it didn't come with sour cream or much cheese, very little portion of meat, it had more tomato than meat and a lot of lettuce, my Torta had extra mayo two small pieces of avocado and also little meat, both orders were Asada and the meat wasn't even seasoned. I wouldn't recommend it, we also got water and it tasted like tap water. Very disappointing read more

We ordered camarones rancheros and they were horrible. The sauce they used was can doritos chips sauce you buy at the grocery store. Horrible service at that. I believe for a busy Saturday you guys def need to have more than one waitress and one cook. Will not return to this place. So unorganized. read more

I had the worst experience ever here!!!! Let me start off by saying the waitress was very very rude. She had a bad attitude. She was rude taking our order, bringing our food, and it seemed like it was too much for her to get us refills.! Then she was busy chatting with her friends that were eating their. My 2yr old son had a $5 and he was trying to put money in the music machine but he was too short to put it in. So when he came back to the table I was asking him wheres his money he pointed to where he was at. It happen to be where the "friends" we're siting at . His money was gone they stole from a 2 year old and the waitress did nothing about it. So if you want your stuff stolen, bad service, this is the place to go. Wow, not a good day for Ostioneria Guadalajara. I wanted shrimp today. A co-worker reminded me about the shrimp cocktail they serve. So we went for a pick up order for lunch. The service was horrible, it was so horrible that we couldn't even get mad, we are still laughing about it. The waitress who took our order, well, i am not sure if she can read or write. She didn't write anything down, We ordered 3 Tortas, 2 tacos w/rice and beans, a shrimp cocktail, and 2 orders of french fries. As soon as my co-worker placed her order, the waitress forgot what she didn't want on one of the Tortas. As we waited for our food and we waited for a bit, we were not offered any chips and salsa or any water. I mean we paid the same price as the other customers who were dining in the restaurant. When our food was finally ready, the waitress didn't properly bag everything up, my shrimp cocktail was missing and there were no french fries. When we asked about the french fries, the waitress looked at us like we were crazy or something. She told us that we didn't order french fries. She then went to go to the back of the store and came out and told us that she didn't have any potatoes today. As we were trying to pay, the waitress could not figure out how to work the cash register. As she went to get the shrimp cocktail we quickly asked another waitress to check us out before the other waitress came back. She properly bagged our food and was able to operate the cash register. She did apologize to us though. As for the food, the shrimp cocktail was very good but the sandwiches and tacos not so good. It will be a long time before I go back there, sorry. read more
