The food was fantastic, they have an excellent beer menu (and other adult beverages are available too), and our waiter was so fun and helpful. Two of us had the chicken mole - the chicken was perfectly cooked, the corn tortillas were handmade and fresh, and the mole sauce was flavorful and well balanced - delicious. The rest of us had the carnitas, enchiladas and a couple of tacos and everything was exceptional. We will definitely be back soon!

There were approximately 12 tables in the first section, and it got a little loud as it filled up at lunch time but not bad to the point of annoying. Not sure how many tables in the second section. Our very pleasant server brought us waters and fresh Tortilla Chips with a Black Bean sauce on them and two different hot sauces. Very fresh tasting and enjoyable. We ordered Modelo draft Beers, $7 each. They gave us a breakfast menu, regular menu, drink menu and another menu that I didn't even bother to look at. Too much. My friend and I really like Taquitos, so we thought we would give them a try here since it was our first time. He got beef and I got chicken. They also have pork. For $15, we got five Taquitos covered with some Black Bean sauce, Guacamole, Creme Fresh and Mexican Cheese. They were piping hot when served, crunchy on the outside with a good amount of filling that you could sink your teeth into and really taste. They were delicious, some of the best we have had. By the time we finished our lunch every table in our section was occupied and they had opened up their second seating area too. A consistent stream of "To Go" orders was being picked up all during our lunch. If I could, I would have given them a 4.7-star rating. The only reason not to being a 5 is two things. First, the entry point is a choke point, people standing in and out the front door trying to get in and there are no waiting seats inside so people waiting to pick up a "To Go" order sit at tables and or stand over other diners by the front door. Second the ambience is on the noisy side and basic. For their great food it is not going to stop me from going back and trying some of their other dishes though.

Street parking only, but wasn't too hard to find a spot as we came early. The restaurant is very nice and looks new. There is two dining rooms one towards the front near the bar area, and another in the back. We sent in the front for brunch. The menu had a good variety of items, and we decided to go with the chilaquiles and the shrimp and grits. I love Shrimp and grits, and it's not too common on menu's so i has to try it. The dish had pork belly instead of bacon, and shrimp. THe texture of the grits was very good, not too runny or too thick. The shrimp seemed good quality and not chewy or rubbery. I really enjoyed the dish and would order it again. The chilaquiles were an interesting take, not at all what you're normal chilaquiles would be. They come with lamb but we substituted with chicken. They were covered with a type of hollandaise sauce and we both thought they were good. I also ordered a breakfast shot that had bourbon in it, and a piece of pork belly on the top, and a shot of orange juice. It was pretty strong and very good. I would definitely order this one again, and the piece of pork belly they added on top was perfect. I can't wait to go back to check out their happy hour, it looks like they have an awesome menu, and they even do it on the weekends.

It's been a little bit of time since we've been there, but this has always been a place on top of our recommendation if somebody is coming to town it's where we would take them to show them a good meal and when other people ask for recommendations for a nice place for dinner, it's what we would tell them fast-forward now I think a couple years later from the initial opening and we don't come quite often just bc we have some new favorites, but it was Sunday night Labor Day weekend and we didn't know where to go so we ended up here. They admitted when we first walked in that they were shortstaffed totally fine and I'm happy to sit in the bar area. Truthfully, we don't come as often because they got rid of my husband's favorite oxtail Birria burger, but we do bring friends here for brunch. Anyway, we were here for dinner on Sunday night. Service was short staffed like they had mentioned and we sat at a high top in the bar area. We started off by ordering a hard seltzer and a carajillo. My seltzer came out rather slow, but it took probably another 10 minutes for my husband to get his drink and when they brought it out, they brought two like they were confused on how many we ordered so we kept the one and then they ended up giving ours I think to what I'm assuming with some friends the owner at the bar not a problem but one thing that I did notice is that there were a lot of "friends at the bar" it definitely gave that kind of vibe they were doing shots with a patron, gave our incorrect food order to another, were testing a new cocktail recipe I think with some. They were sharing drinks with some patrons. It's probably a nice gig if you're friends with these people and I'm not hating on it. Then we ordered our food. I ordered some Mezcal lime wings, and my husband ordered the grits when my food came out the waitress brought a burger and a salad and we had to tell her that wasn't our food. Then we waited another extra five minutes for my husband's food to come out and it did. I will say the quality of the food hasn't changed. The wings were delicious. They were crispy and they were well seasoned, and my husband really enjoyed his food, but it was the lack of service throughout the meal that really hit home for me that we probably won't be coming back as often and maybe just for brunch. It was such a weird experience to feel like because we were paying we were getting worse service than those who were getting free drinks and such but I can't complain because the food was good if the service was bad and the food was bad I'd be leaving a lower review but I can't give any higher than three stars if there was a 3 1/2 I'd leave it, but I almost never write negative reviews for places, but this really struck a nerve for me. I think because we came a little bit before 7 PM. It's not as if they were closing in 20 minutes. I could understand poor service for that, but I didn't really see why the service was so poor looking around. It's just a bit confusing, I guess.

Before I tell you how good the food was, I just have to say this because it's big for me personally... This place is very clean! You can see into the kitchen and everything is very organized and they're all cleaning in the kitchen and around the salsa table. The young man taking my order was very nice and helpful explaining the options to me as there were some things I was unfamiliar with on the menu. Back to the salsa table... they have 9 different kinds ranging from mild, medium, hot, very hot in green, red, orange and even creamy based sauces. So so good. My favorite was the salsa chipotle and the tomatillo salsa. He recommended his favorite item which was the Cuban torta. Super fresh bread, amazing flavors and textures, and it was really really good. And big. Lots of food and great prices if you ask me. I also got the home made tortillas ... wow! You don't see that very often. I had the chorizo, pastor and the quesobirra tacos. Big portions and again very reasonable prices.
