So my tostada was a little soupy and I anticipated the big puffy she'll like the picture but got plain flat chewy/soupy corn tortillas. That may have been my bad by not being clear when ordering for pickup. But I really suggest using a slotted spoon when dishing up the meat. And I ordered shredded beef and expected the beef to be shredded not big chunks of the roasted beef. It was tender enough so I could break the chunks down but again the way the beef was served brought in a lot of extra juice hence soupy. Also their guacamole and beans are on the thinner side. So as the theme in this review, over all was soupy shredded lettuce with chunks of meat. We gave them a shot as had not order in years and favorite spot is now closed. There are other Mexican quick spots nearby so will go back to one of them. read more

Tú e store was clean and neat. Service was polite. The food was just ok. I had the cheese enchiladas. The rice was fluffy and tasty but the beans and enchilada sauce tasted like they came from a can. The business had many patrons so they must have good items on the menu. I just did not enjoy the cheese enchiladas. read more

Came in for breakfast before jury duty and had a breakfast chorizo, egg and beans and it was so delicious!! I think only haters rate this place less than 4 stars. This an authentic Mexican food restaurant doing its best to please us all. House made chile relleno, crispy taco or street, green sauce or red all delicious. The mole pablano is legit. I eat out a lot and come back here repeatedly. What can I say about Rosa' Mexican kitchen in Vista? I am extremely picky .... period , lol. But especially regarding restaurant food. I worked in pest control for 25 yrs . . . I went twice this weekend so definitely two thumbs up. I took my grandson on Friday and he loves California burritos. He was more than pleased. I had my favorite taco and enchilada combo plate. Excellent. Returned on Sunday at dinner time and it was great to see the place full of families several of which had the molcajete bowls on their tables. I asked and they told me they were great. Really cool family-style place just off the freeway in Vista. I was fleeing some awful home cooking (my parents burned breakfast) and I came across Rosa's, which saved my taste buds. Ordered the shrimp and carne asada taco. Service was fast and friendly, even at 10am. Both tacos were very good, though the shrimp one had way too much sauce. The Carne was perfection, with enough zip and meaty goodness. Definite recommend and will return! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. The burritos are huge and they have a fantastic salsa bar. Unfortunately we tried the camarones a la diabla and it was about as spicy as a chocolate bar. Just remove the diabla because there's no spice whatsoever. read more

I would not recommend the enchiladas. I normally get the carne asada fajitas and wanted to test something different from here. I decided to go with the enchiladas because it's a favorite dish of mine. The tortillas are delicious, but the red sauce has a paste texture to it and gives an impression of barbecue sauce, will be getting my enchiladas elsewhere. This is my second time coming here and it was just as good as the first time. Called ahead, food was ready in 10 mins. I ordered the SUPREME BURRITO. Inside the burrito was -- rice, beans, chicken OR beef, guac, sour cream, cheese. Normally topped with a (not spicy) tomato based sauce, I opted for that on the side.
