The owner is a very rude human being. We're returning customers and he complained for taking too many radishes even though I ordered more food. Half of the radishes were rotting which is why I took more after they cut fresh ones. He said he doesn't need a customer like me. I can't believe a business owner would say those kinds of word. Ordered 2 birria street tacos and a carne asada mulita. 1. The 2 tacos were full of meat on a soft, warm corn tortilla. Very flavorful and satisfying. 2. The mulita was 5 stars! The beans, meat and toppings is exactly what you want in a mulita. Definitely a winner and will order again and again. The only ding is that there was no salsa bar. The red taco sauce they provided was good but I was looking for more heat. Sorry no pics, when I got my order, I was memorized by the look and smells of everything that I forgot to take photos. The staff is rude. The cashier at the register acted like he was bothered that he had to take my order. The cashier also refused to give me a cup of water " we don't give out water at all "which I later looked up to find out that it is illegal to give someone water in a restaurant when they request water. Our food came served on horrible paper plates, which looked like they had been crumpled up and used. The music was so loud I could hardly hear my wife talk. The salsa had consistency of gelatin and came out in chunks and was not smooth. It looked and tasted gross. They don't let you get your own salsa. They pull it out of the back. They also charge you for more salsa if you want more. The salsa cups are very tiny. read more

I stopped at Little Mexico for some take out on my way home from the mall. I was in the mood for some shrimp tacos and I also picked up a birria bowl for my boyfriend. The tacos were juicy, a little spicy and very generous! The birria bowl was also very generous. Both were delicious. There was more than enough to fill up a man. Just happened to be in the parking lot so we gave this place a try, glad we did. Nice selection of items and a clean place. High points, delicious chicken in the quesadilla. Great carne asada in the nachos, fresh guacamole. Outstanding bean and cheese burrito. Not so high points, charging for hot sauce and the skimpiest taquitos I've ever had, couldn't swear there was anything in them, but good guacamole again. All in all, better than average. read more

My family and I go here basically weekly (maybe even 2+ times a week) and everyone is so kind and they give off such a great vibe!! My family and my favorite dishes they make are the shrimp tacos (I mean it has grilled veggies/shrimp that are so juicy instead of those nasty cabbage/friend shrimp tacos you get everywhere else) & tacos de tripa (so crispy and yummy). +Again with the win! If you know me, I like to go somewhere a few times before I leave a review. For this little gem, Ive been countless times with the same result each time. First, I am greeted by the friendly staff in a peaceful environment, looking over the kitchen as they prepare the food. For a short time I drool on the window, especially when the little lady in the back smashes those perfect little balls into the tortillas they were made to be. I definitely recommend trying the Surf and Turf tacos, or any of the burritos. This place clearly has a passion for quality, you can taste it in every bite. I'm not sure, but I am pretty sure they are actually from Mexico, and have actually been passionate about this food for a lifetime... I wouldn't change a single thing about this place and am proud to say they have earned my business for years to come. read more

I've been here twice in the past couple weeks and only discovered it when I was heading to the Taco Bar in Vista and found it is now Little Mexico. I have not been disappointed either time. Both times we experienced friendly and quick service. Not a huge menu but they do offer a good variety. I stuck with my street tacos and got a carne asada and carnitas. I get them plain, just the meat and tortilla, (I know...boring) then add some salsa and lime/lemon. My daughter got the California burrito. They do not skimp on the amount of meat and they were flavored well, without a lot of fatty pieces (I hate when that happens). They add cut radish pieces and a few wedges of lemon to the taco box/container. While on the topic of lemon wedges, the person(s) cutting them might need to go to lemon slices classes. They provide these odd cuts of lemon; some barely have any rind on them and maybe a couple drops of juice when you squeeze them. Most places I've gone to have them cut in quarters, not here. Maybe they are trying to get more wedges out of a lemon. Let's not forget the salsas. We like heat so asked for their two hottest ones. The hottest one I believe was supposed to be a mango habanero, I could be wrong. It had a good heat kick to it, but I don't know if I'd get it again, the mango (or whatever sweet it was) just didn't do it for me or my daughter. The next one was a creamier greenish looking one (nice way to describe it huh?) and it was awesome. We would get that one again for sure. A good kick of heat but not enough to grow hair on your chest. Glad it's come to Vista and look forward to many future visits to Little Mexico. read more

We've been going to little Mexico since it opened mostly due to proximity to our home. The bean and cheese burrito is pretty good, good chips but totally over priced, never a full container of full chips (last time we barely got half a container of totally broken chips) which I've forgiven because the guacamole is so good! To me, this is unforgivable. I unwrapped my burrito to find, not just one hair but a good clump of hair. Unfortunately, I won't have dinner tonight and will never be going back there. It was 6:30 on 3/31 - a not busy friday. People make mistakes but food's too expensive! read more

I was heading next door into the Stater Bro's market to grab a pre-made salad or lunch plate to take with me out on the job site. I noticed the Little Mexico sign out front to be catchy with it saying "Fiery Grill". I went inside to find some interesting things on the wall and an interesting menu of sort. I ordered a Gobernador shrimp fajita burrito, but asked to have it made into a salad without the tortilla. The 'now' plate had a nice combination of shrimp, peppers, onions, cheese and pico de gallo. They even threw in a few delicious carrots to help my Keto plate. I just didn't care for the cream-based Chipotle sauce that I asked to be placed on the side. Just the grilled shrimp and veggies created enough sauce to compliment the green and red salsas. A very courteous and thoughtful service staff and chef helped me out today. Stingy with the salsa! I ordered 9 tacos today. When I called they were very friendly and it only took 15 minutes for it to be ready. When I went to go pick up they asked me what salsa I wanted. I asked for 3 of the red and green. They informed me that with 9 tacos they could ONLY give me 3 salsas! I was shocked... that meant 1 salsa cup is for 3 tacos... They said the best they could do was 4. I don't know about you, but I like salsa on my tacos. Thank goodness I had my own salsa at home. read more

Authentic and delicious food. Sauces are obviously homemade and outstanding. Service was friendly and helpful. Counter server was patient and helpful with a newcomer like me with plenty of questions about menu items. The chicken mole enchilada tasted homemade. I gobbled it up! The Chile Relleno was soooo good; Crispy coating topped with a savory sauce. I can't wait to try more of their menu's deliciousness. I tend to judge by a restaurant's beans and tortillas; it was a definite winner here. I highly recommend this little gem tucked away in a supermarket lot. Now, if I could just find homemade Horchata... Gets really busy when nearby schools let out but still moves fairly fast. I'm so happy to have found this wonderful little place. One can't live in SoCal without having at least one go to Mexican fast food I think I've found my latest one. See you there.
