You sound like an obnoxious person just wanting to complain about life. What is it you want? I've never had Lucy speak to me like that and she's the most sweetest person I have ever encountered in this establishment. And she's always at work with a smile in her face. If what you say Is true then there's a reason why she tried to talk to you like that, because no one in hell will let someone else degrade them while they're only trying to do their job. The day of: Eh. It was okay. I had three orders of the pollo tacos al vapor and rice and beans. The meat was okay, the tortillas were not that soft, they weren't hard, but they def didn't feel cooked all the way, the rice and beans definitely had no flavor. The rice was eh and the beans tasted like right out of a can. If I wasn't hungry as much as I was i definitely wouldn't have ate them, but I was starving as hell. Would I come back here again? Great tacos al vapor. Theirs so many styles of tacos. Their shrimp tacos are great and so is their customer service. It's not my go to place for tacos but I do crave them once in a while. I love their menu. It's not overwhelming and hard to read like most places. Great chain. Maybe just add more meat to their tacos and it'll be perfect. Went there last night on My way home. My wife once told me she ate tacos from here. I tried the Tacos de Cabeza " Cow's Head" , and the Tripitas Tacos " Tripe. Great taste , better than what I expected. Would have given them another star, and a half if the Salsa would have been more authentic, and not watered-down. read more

I am shocked that El Bukanas is getting a single star, so I decided to come on here and defend it's reputation. I had seen this location a few years ago, when they first opened up, but I did not step into this place until just one or two years ago. I thought it was just another random taco joint. I figured, why should i bother trying the tacos, when I've already found good tacos at King Taco or Tacos Mexico? Well, the first thing that draws someone in, is the PRICE. The tacos go for $1 a pop, which is right on the sweet spot of pricing (worked for iTunes, no?) . So what's so great about the tacos here? Allow me to break it down for you: (Keep in mind that I've only tried the Carne Asada, and Lengua tacos.) 1. The meat is chopped very finely. You can tell these people put a lot of effort to chop it so well. Other places I've been to give you 7 or 8 chunks of meat, and call it a day. 2. The meat is very tender, as it's cooked with vapor. The meat does NOT have excessive grease, if any, as stated by the previous reviewer. The reviewer said, "my sons tacos looked greasy". She only LOOKED. She should have actually tasted it before complaining. 3. The tortillas are also cooked al vapor, so they're very soft. 4. The tacos are topped off with cilantro & onions. And, then you have the option to add some mild or hot chile salsa from the salsa cart they have made available to the customers. They have other chopped vegetables, but I never pay attention as to what they are exactly. I prefer the hot chile; It has a decent kick to it, and greatly enhances the taco experience. 5. For drinks, you can choose a soda, or one of their inexpensive aguas frescas. I normally have a coke (it's cheaper), but I do love their agua de horchata, and agua de fresa. I'm sure their other drinks are equally as good. 6. As far as the flavor goes, the tacos are just good. These tacos feel like they were made at home. I feel like I've been invited to some mexican party, and someone is just cranking these tacos out in the kitchen. So if you're slightly reluctant to give this place a shot, don't be. Just go in there, order 2-3 three tacos, and a coke. Even if you don't like it, you're only out four dollars. As evidence that this place is GOOD: When they first started out, they had a tiny 12-seat restaurant, but within the last year, they had to increase the size of the restaurant by swallowing up the next door business location. Worst place ever !!! They take way to long to give you your food. I literally had to wait more than 25 minutes and the place was empty. There was a lady who ordered before us and we got our food first than her. She told us she had more than 45 minutes waiting for her quesadilla. These may not be the best tacos I've ever had but this is my go-to spot for satisfying my taco cravings. These tacos are on the smaller side but with the double tortilla you get your dollars worth. $1.00!!!. Yep, they use to be $0.75 but the price went up. Still some of the cheapest tacos around. Be careful with the salsas, the green one is good but the other one is only for spicy food experts. And they also have pretty good aguas frescas. They do take Debit but charge a fee. It's also a pretty small space that can get crowded pretty fast. I suggest you take your food to go. read more

Do not expect special asada here, as it's not their specialty. You'll be disappointed. To me their specialty is the shrimp taco, or shrimp burrito. It's the best I've tried so far. They have it in like seasoned flour, soo good & fresh. A couple times I found myself craving for their shrimp taco, two days in a row. Top it with their habanero or regular salsa. Yummy yummy Even their decor feels like 'beach' to me, everything screams 'seafood'y. I also like their al pastor & lengua taco, tasty. Especially since they serve it on 'steam' taco which is small in size but delicious for .75 each, I could order 4 and got full for about $3.00 (yes, female portion). I also ordered the bionicos once, it was good. The agua frescas are sweet, but good. I put extra ice to make it more enjoyable. Four star is because sometimes service is not as impressive (slow at times, they had different girls in the front when I was there and some is really slow & forgetting people's order). I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I think that the taste is slipping. I had a few regular tacos along with some canasta tacos and I just could not really get a good taste for them, at least not like in the past. In the past these tacos were tasty, maybe it is the location. This was my first time to this location, I normally go to a different one. read more

Papa rellena and kesabirria are sooo good. The tacos de cabeza are the best in the area. Definitely recommend this place.

One of the worse tacos I've had the meat was under cooked and dry and the al pastor meat wasn't even meat it was all fat plus we asked for cilantro and and onion on the side and they said they would add it and once we got home there was nothing and we called and they assured us that they added it but it was no where to be found. Worst fish and papa tacos. Fish tacos looked like 2 bite size pieces of nuggets with nothing but lettuce. Tacos de papa had almost no potatoe in them. Almost looked like I ordered lettuce tacos instead of fish tacos. On top of that each fish taco was almost $4 each. Been in Azusa for almost 20 years and never had such a horrible experience.
