I came here expecting tacos and left with emotional damage. The food was actually good, which makes this even more upsetting because the workers acted like I personally ruined their entire day by existing. The guy at the register sighed every time I spoke like I was reading him a 40 page book instead of ordering a burrito. One employee stared at me so hard while | was choosing a drink that I started getting sweaty. Then they called my order. I walked up and the cashier just handed me the bag in silence while making direct eye contact like we had unresolved history together. HOW DARE YOU... I stopped by my lunch because I work at the La Galaxy Park nearby.. I decided to try this place out on CINCO DE MAYO you'd expect it to be top tier service for mexicans.. NO ! Ordered from here a few times and the food is amazing , customer service is fenomenal they do get busy during lunch hours but over all they are quick. If I could give 0 zero I would.. let's start off by mentioning how much of a loyal I've been, coming in weekly since i discovered this place a few months back, the staff are always so positive and welcoming but the manager Carmen is just horrible! Multiple times have I come in and she's yelling at her employees for god knows what, and even smacking them on the head or shoulder like they are her children! As of my recent visit I saw her leaning on the food counter on her phone scratching her head and proceeded to touch the food like nothing after an order came in. Very disgusting lost my appetite immediately!! Not to mention one time i ordered a burrito the tomatoes tasted bitter they felt soggy just horrid wrapped up in a tortilla when I brought it to Carmen's attention she shamed me for even ordering a burrito to begin with and said wow you Hispanic folks are so needy and big always something you want remade, trying to scam us into getting a new free burrito. I was honestly so shock in what she had just said because she herself looked more Hispanic than me... I didn't call or complain about this incident to anyone because i assumed she was just having a horrible day and that was her way of expressing her frustration which is unprofessional btw now looking back I should have contacted corporate immediately!!! My cousin who works there he himself told me Carmen keeps utensils, napkins, the prepackaged food items in the bathroom.. just because it's prepackaged does not mean it's oka to store in a bathroom. Im sure if Carmen got replaced a bunch of past customers would quickly return. Im surprised this place is honestly still open after hearing and experiencing all these things at El Burro. Saturday, June 14, 2025 we used El Burro for catering service at my daughter's bridal shower. The food was a hit. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and delivered on time as promised. I was in communication with Yvette, who was very accommodating and provided great services. We had the ability to do a tasting of the various meats, rice and beans. I will definitely use them again and will share my experience with others who are looking for some good mexican food. The pricing was exceptional for what we ordered. Rosa did an amazing job helping me with my burrito. She was able to help me when the young man said they didn't make what I wanted. She came with a smile and said we can do that and it made my day to have great service. They have a huge TV and you can watch the movie. I visited the Carson , ordered the two Carne Asada corn tortilla tacos and a Carne Asada burrito the food taste was very good however the Carne Asada meat itself had to much fat and made the taste experience not good at all , if they were to have their meat trimmed of so much fat, I think they would have a winning product. read more

Two stars for the girls who were working Wednesday March 6th, 2024, around 2:50PM. They get one star each I guess LOL. I have to laugh to keep from crying....it was a sad day in el burro today. I have been coming here since 2016, I used to work at the subway RIGHT next door, so I feel my opinion is very valid because I've been going for years now. El burro has gone down drastically the last few months/last year or so, maybe even longer and I just didn't notice; it has gone down in quality of food and quality of service. Anyways, the food itself seemed like it was old. I got a chicken bowl and my partner got an asada burrito. His asada tasted like it needed to be changed out after sitting for hours, our chips were stale, lettuce looked soggy and wilted. When I ordered my bowl I asked for Spanish rice, and then I asked for a little more bc it did not even cover the base of the bowl. Girl 1 asked if I wanted another full scoop after I said I can pay if it's extra, no I didn't want a full scoop I just wanted a little more. I think that's when maybe I upset them because when my partner ordered his burrito it was basically drenched in sauce. As I said before I used to work right next door, so I very much could sense that Girl 2 adding extra sauce (when asked for light) was out of spite and pettiness, because I know how customer service can be. They're assembling the food and perhaps suddenly they think I should be at their feet with gratefulness. All I am doing is getting lunch with my partner and it may sound mean but just do your job, it's not like you're working for free and it's not like my lunch is free. I don't know how we could have possibly upset anyone to the point they wanted to ruin our lunch. It's just dumb and petty. My partner could not finish his burrito because it began to literally drip with sauce, and became a soggy mess. And as for ambiance there isn't any anymore. No tv, no music, no vibes; just the employees washing/slamming dishes loudly af and watching tik toks. Sorry el burro but it just sucks now and idk if it's the team itself, management, or just an off time for the business. But don't make your problems my problems, don't make your bad day MY bad day. When I'm in this area, I like to stop by. Today, I went in before 3pm. Only customer there, male worker let's call him "B" was rude and impatient. He was working alone. While eating a female worker walked in. Listening to their interaction, seems like the initial worker has poor customer service skills. Am surprised this place so close to the university would have trouble finding better help. Air-conditioning wasn't working too well either. Maybe explains his short temper. On a whim I pulled into the parking lot and decided to try El Burro...and I'm so glad I did! It was noon but I waned breakfast. The server said they have breakfast all day long. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with sausage. It came out on a big, fresh flour tortilla with fluffy fresh eggs, lots of cheese and delicious link sausages cut in small pieces. To top it off, the green chili to accompany the meal was the bomb! I can't wait to eat at El Burro again...the sooner the better!!!! read more

Quick decision to pull into this place, what a pleasant a surprise it was. The tortillas are homemade, which did not make the wait any worse knowing what was coming our way. My new go-to taco place! El Burro offers customizable tacos, burritos, and bowls. For a first timer (or if you're indecisive like me), I'd definitely try the Tapias! These are smaller street taco-sized and are great for trying a little bit of everything. A "Tour" comes with 6 tapias. Once you find your favorite fillings, I'd go with the Taco plate that includes 3 larger sized tacos or even a burrito! Choose from a number of different chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and veggie options. I really like the Pollo Asado and Shredded Beef, but my favorites are the Grilled Shrimp (which comes with grilled bell peppers and onions) and the grilled fish! There is an extra charge for seafood: $0.25 for tapias, $0.50 for tacos, and $1.20 for burritos. You also get a choice of adding toppings like lettuce, cheese, salsa, cilantro, salsa, lime, sour cream, pickled onions, and more! Guacamole is an extra charge as well, but their guac is amazing so it's worth it! They also offer a Chicken Quesadilla (not on the menu), which comes with rice and beans. Everything is prepared right in front of you with the exception of made-to-order items like the seafood and quesadilla. Seen the reviews on yelp kind of undecided but we wanted to eat. So we go in and the guy behind the counter had mediocre customer service. The serving sizes are similar to chipotle. And so are the prices and the quality was OK I can't say that I will be back. My husband got a burrito and a bowl I only got a bowl he seemed to enjoy it. We got a free soft drink with a check in so that was cool. There was a girl who worked there who was really sweet and that's the only reason why I gave them more stars. But when I arrived at around 4:30 pm on a Tuesday, one look at the food and i could tell it was not fresh. I was about to find somewhere else to eat but decided to give it a shot. I ordered 1 asada taco, 1 chicken, and another beef. The tortilla was brittle and falling apart before they even put meat on it.
