I'm overdue in updating my review, but it's needed. This place has definitely grown on me! The food somehow got better! The chips and salsa are free now, and the salsa is way better! It can be spicier than other nights depending on the ingredients, but it's always delicious. Taco Tuesday is so worth it! Just be warned, it can get crowded! But for $1.50 select tacos and pupusas, you can imagine why. The salsas continue to be flavorful and vibrant, the food is delicious and filling, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. And don't sleep on their Agua Frescas!! Refreshing!!

I've decided that when I need a wife to cook for me this is where I will go. The food is fresh and the prices are reminiscent of pre-Covid times. Checked it out for a moms note out, went back with daughter, then back again with both kids. What caught my eye the first time was beef tongue tacos, beef head tacos, and a side of cactus. I don't consider this to be your Americanized Mexican restaurant. The service was great considering how busy they were with carry out orders. My second time there I thought I would try the ceviche... I'm normally not a fan of tomato bases but this ceviche was awesome for this meal and the next. Servings are hearty across the board.

This place is so inconspicuous. A Mexican restaurant next to a 7-11. What are your expectations? I had none, and what I got was the best everyday Mexican food I had in MD thus far. Nothing fancy, but good fundamentals. I stop by here every time I'm nearby. You should too.

I have been to ElCabrito several times before. It was always pretty good. Prices are pretty good. Food pretty good. But. Just went and got a steak burrito, like I always get. I found a FINGER NAIL in my burrito. It was actually in my mouth. There's no possible way that was an accident. The only thing I can think of is that someone did this on purpose. I don't want to get into racial conspiracy theories, but it seems like.... Anyway. I will not be back. Gross. Never again.

that's what I like on Taco Tuesday! They were packed full of flavor and were very filling. Excellent first time will come again!

I've been here before where I had a Godiva which was delicious. This time offspring and I had the late night munchies and tried their chicken torta. It was soo good! The bread was fresh tasting and soft the jalapeño was spicy and hit the spot. We loved it and will def stopagain SOON.

The food is good, but the service sucks. Twice I've been here, and it's awkward from the time I walk in until I leave. They have seating, but i'm not sure if I seat myself or wait. First time I sat myself, and then had to walk up and go get a menu. Right before I walked up to order the waiter came. The second time they just looked at us, and my wife was able to ask them in spanish. My son looked at me and stated that our waiter seemed as if he didn't want to be there during our meal, and i totally agreed. Hopefully they get it together. Maybe i'll tap back in down the road.

3 Taco platter, carnitas, barbacoa and chorizo

The parking is difficult with the 7-11 and liquor store neighbors, but after your first meal you will overlook it. So far, we have had carnitas, barbacoa, birra, al pastor, and chorizo tacos; chips guac and salsa; pork papusas; and chicken tinge tostada. Sides of slaw, and rice and beans. Everything has been delicious and filling. Do not expect the heat to be turned down for the American palate, spice and heat make the food all the more memorable. Most dishes are mild hot until you use the sauces or bite into the grilled onions and jalepenos served with most dishes. Those who love a real hot dish should try the chicken tinge, flavorful and spicey. Don't miss Taco Tuesday where papusas and a select variety of tacos are only $1.50 each. We have yet to try Fajita Fridays, will update the review as soon as we do.

Authentic Mexican food, delicious and full of flavor!! One thing that really irks me, is Mexican food, with no flavor!!! LIKE HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE... Anyhoo this place, hidden in a shopping center... I would've never thought to check this place out, but thanks to good ol Yelp & this baddie foodie I've come to know......Here we go!! The chips were served warm with delicious tomato salsa. The guacamole was served fresh and very tasty!! My shrimp enchiladas were yummy! Rice and beans were seasoned perfectly...my company opt for a little bit of everything...chicken tacos, a chicken quesadilla and chicken enchilada. This combo option came with rice and she added a side of beans. And how can I forget the best part! Margaritas. I decided to keep it simple...regular margarita on the rocks with a sugar rim. All in all, 10/10 experience for me...I would definitely come back here to try some other things... It was a slow Wednesday evening. Our server was attentive and helpful... The restaurant was clean... Thanks Nessa for putting me on!!! Where we going next!!!! ;))) Happy Yelping!

This place reminded me of a place you'd find in Texas. Definitely was smiling the way in and way out! Let's get into it! Flautas - So delicious! Yes, yes, and more yes! Chicken Enchilada - I had to get one to taste, the honey liked it more than his fajitas. Fajitas - You can't really mess this up. Margaritas - SOOOOO GOOD! We should have gotten the small ones. Overall cute little restaurant in the cut and so worth the drive! Yes, yes, and more YES! I'll be back!

Chips and salsa came right away and it was hard not to eat too much, it was so tasty! The chips were fresh and hot with the perfect amount of salt; salsa was medium hot, just right for my spicy preference. After a very short wait - maybe 5 minutes, tops - our server came to take our order. The food arrived within 10 minutes. We shared nachos supreme with beef (ground beef) and four street tacos with carnitas. I can't begin to tell you how hard it was not to gobble down every bit. The carnitas were spiced perfectly and were moist and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The ground beef was, as well. The vegetables in both dishes - lettuce, onion, tomato, jalapeño - were fresh as can be. DGD enjoyed a strawberry Jarisco, while I stuck with water. The reason we held back from gorging on this feast was a planned stop at Coldstone after ;) Service was excellent, food was delicious. Parking is mildly annoying but that's just me. It's in a large shopping center and there's never any parking right in front of the businesses on the main entrance street. But we didn't have to walk far, just across an interior street from the parking shared with a theater. It's free, so a little walk is OK. With tip it was around $50 I think, but as DGD treated me, I wasn't involved in paying. Worth another visit, regardless.

When I walked in, there was a very strong sewer-like smell inside the restaurant. I remembered noticing it before, but this time it was really noticeable. I'm not sure what's causing it, but it definitely needs to be addressed because it's pretty unpleasant. Several people around the bar were talking about it, and even the bartender mentioned that the smell sometimes gives her a headache. Despite that, I decided to stay and order food. I got a grapefruit crush, fish tacos, sweet chili wings, and the peel-and-eat shrimp. Everything was actually really good and flavorful. The food and drinks definitely delivered. Fatboy's is a great addition to the Bowie/Crofton area and I enjoy the menu and happy hour vibe. I just really hope they figure out the source of that smell because it's pretty off-putting and makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes. Once that's fixed, this place would easily be a go-to spot.
