A crab feast before the snow falls !!!
    Joseph B.

Fat Boys Crab Shack is a cozy little restaurant with a down to earth homely feel. The staff is extremely friendly, and makes you feel welcomed the minute you walk in. Their crabs are meaty, and definitely live up to the size chart ( and they don't try to sneak other smaller sizes in on you ) and you have to try their cream of crab soup it is absolutely delicious !!! If you're looking for a cool out the way spot to eat some good food, then Fat Boys Crab Shack should be your next stop.

Fat Boys is the place to be! Nicolette, Aniya & the bartenders always do a phenomenal job! This is my place...make it yours. Casey and Avionnah are outstanding workers

I visited Fat Boys last Sunday. I really liked that they have an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a meal and unwind with your family and friends. The ordering process was a bit confusing, but I understand that every place operates differently. It's similar to fast food where you have to place your order at the counter, and then your food is brought to you when it's ready. The crabs were really meaty and delicious. When I was there, I was informed that they only had Large and Fat Boy sizes. I'm not sure if this is a marketing tactic, but the crabs were still good. I gave 3 stars because of the fried oysters. I ordered fried oysters as an appetizer, but I noticed a lot of green and white stuff coming out of them. My family eats oysters all the time, so I knew this wasn't normal, but I didn't say anything. However, when someone in my group asked if they had raw oysters, they were told they don't serve raw oysters during the off-season. This made me wonder how they made the fried oysters if they didn't have raw oysters. Maybe I'm overthinking, but I wouldn't recommend the fried oysters. Oh, also, someone in my party received corn with mold on it.

I honestly did not know that this restaurant was here. I usually go to the one down the street. But decided to try something new this Sunday. There is quite a difference between them both. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my time here as much as I thought I would. The jumbo wings are not jumbo at all. They are technically party size. Additionally the corn had mold on it. The fried oysters tasted odd. And when eggs did they have raw oysters, they said it was not the season for raw oysters. Which had us question what did we eat when they said they gave us fried oysters. My mom seemed to enjoy her fried fish and fries. And a friend said that the crab eggrolls were good. And of course, the crabs were a decent size and meaty. They only had large or fat boys that day. Overall, I would just go back for the outdoor seating . - I will bring bug spray and fly repellent next time too

    Garlic Butter Crabs !!! Amazing!!!

I came into town looking for crabs. Came across a tik tok video and people were ranting and raving about the garlic butter grilled crabs!!!! When I say Woooowwwww it was amazing! I also had oysters but that wasn't as good to me. But, I had also ordered Togo. I will definitely go back and try it again! This place is a must go to place EVERY-TIME!!! Service was great! I ordered on the phone. Great system in store. There's 2 parts the restaurant side and the carry out side. I love how it's separate.

Closing out the weekend with family at Fat Boys. We were looking for a goid place to get Crabs and assortment of see food . The service is self seating. We found a nice table where we could see the football game(s). The food arrives fairly quickly once seated. The place is a local hangout so it has the sports bar vibe...tables inside and outside and let me say the weather supported the outside venue. Overall the meal was OK. The oysters, fish, as well as the crabs were over done. We discussed with the manager who exchanged some of the king crab legs. The king crab legs were looked without old bay and as a result the flavor was not baked in. The old bay was provided in a small plastic container to pour on. We noticed the color of the exchanged king cracrab legs were completely different as well. Overall ok, but did not circle the bases...Maybe a double...but clearly not a triple.

It was okay! The crab legs were just plain and didn't have a lot of flavor and kind of cold.

There was only one server and a bartender, and there were a lot of patrons however she was so great. The table had shrimp cocktail (no lemon wedge ), crab balls, prime rib, potato salad, coleslaw, a crabcake sandwich (GIGANTIC), and crab imperial. Everything was delicious! We had to get dessert to go bc the portions were gigantic and we were FULL. The rice pudding and the strawberry cheesecake were EXCELLENT! 2 things: - the shrimp cocktail did not have lemon wedges. However, the cocktail sauce had such a good flavor with the right amount of horseradish, so that made up for the lack of lemon wedge. I know I probably could have asked for one, but it was just so good either way. - the au jus that came with the prime rib tasted like A1 steak sauce. I am used to a traditional au jus. However, the prime rib as AMAZING, it didn't need sauce!!!! The lounge area was like a typical bar with sports showing and betting on screen. It was welcoming and great. Thank you, Ramonia! I hope that is her name because that is what I just saw on the receipt. Everything came out fast. The service was excellent. Food divine. I am most definitely going again.

My friend's daughter took home the coconut cake and said it was YUMMY !!! I give CINDY 5 stars for making our dining experience FANTASTIC!! Otherwise, it was SUPER LOUD in the dining room. We could barely hear each other lol Oh sorry I didn't take pics! I was so hungry when the crab cakes arrived at the table that I just dug in lol

I was a first timer and she's been once before. Given the name, I figured it was a seafood restaurant. Although some seafood is on the menu, Pier 99 is primarily a Sushi/Asian food restaurant. I think a name change should be in order.. Lol! I literally had to switch up my taste buds to partake in some sushi! I ordered a seafood boil because I couldn't switch them up fast enough while she ordered sushi. I actually love the concept because so many people aren't sushi fans but most folks get down with seafood! The food was actually good and they pulled off both cuisines effortlessly! My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!

But when the birthday boy is turning 85, you oblige. Clearly, I adore him. First-timer at Jerry's, and I went straight for the famous Crab Bomb. And bomb it was! Huge chunks of lump crab, very little filler, and absolutely delicious. Everyone else left with doggie bags. Me? I ate the WHOLE thing. I needed fuel for that ride home! Now, the price? WHEW. And because we ALL had Crab Bombs, plus appetizers, and I picked up the check, this was no small ticket! I'm a Costco girl, so the entire time my brain was doing seafood math: "Now how many pounds of lump crab could I have bought for this?" You only turn 85 once, so we celebrated properly. The food was delicious, our server was great, the birthday celebration was worth every mile, and these days I'm reminded that dining out is less about what's on the plate (although it should be delicious) and more about who's sitting around the table.

I ended up ordering one of the only fresh ly made drinks The Blazing Britches Margarita which contained Los Pantalones Organic Blanco tequila, Grand Marnier, pineapple, mango anhabanero, lime with a jalapeño sugar rim . . yes it tastes just as good as it sounds. Keshawn was there behind thy bar hustling and bustling his best and if y'all know him, that smile never wavered. They are also featuring a Fresh Watermelon Martini containing hand-muddled watermelon, house-infused cucumber Fris vodka and house-made sour mix, garnished with frozen watermelon cubes. This was really popular and a lot of patrons were ordering this guy. I can't do vodka so I stayed away. I needed food plus they sent me a $10 reward so of course it burned a hole in my email and I realized it was still HH so quickly ordered the ahi tuna wonton crisps and their chef crafted Wasabi cream was delightful and I wish there was more of that than the rhai chili glaze which was really sweet. He was so occupied I wasn't able to order another happy hour dish before it was over and none of the entrees spoke to me so I decided to try their potatoes au gratin. I thought it would have been made with sliced potatoes but the actually used breakfast potatoes with so much cheese and sauce that I found myself scraping it off the potatoes. The presentation did look nice though. Who doesn't love browns bubbly cheese with crispy cheese edges. There were great vibes because most of the people in the bar area were there to celebrate the bartender who was leaving and it was great to see them show up For her as well as the restaurant decorate for her last day.
