Fat Boys is the place to be! Nicolette, Aniya & the bartenders always do a phenomenal job! This is my place...make it yours. Casey and Avionnah are outstanding workers

I visited Fat Boys last Sunday. I really liked that they have an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a meal and unwind with your family and friends. The ordering process was a bit confusing, but I understand that every place operates differently. It's similar to fast food where you have to place your order at the counter, and then your food is brought to you when it's ready. The crabs were really meaty and delicious. When I was there, I was informed that they only had Large and Fat Boy sizes. I'm not sure if this is a marketing tactic, but the crabs were still good. I gave 3 stars because of the fried oysters. I ordered fried oysters as an appetizer, but I noticed a lot of green and white stuff coming out of them. My family eats oysters all the time, so I knew this wasn't normal, but I didn't say anything. However, when someone in my group asked if they had raw oysters, they were told they don't serve raw oysters during the off-season. This made me wonder how they made the fried oysters if they didn't have raw oysters. Maybe I'm overthinking, but I wouldn't recommend the fried oysters. Oh, also, someone in my party received corn with mold on it.

I honestly did not know that this restaurant was here. I usually go to the one down the street. But decided to try something new this Sunday. There is quite a difference between them both. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my time here as much as I thought I would. The jumbo wings are not jumbo at all. They are technically party size. Additionally the corn had mold on it. The fried oysters tasted odd. And when eggs did they have raw oysters, they said it was not the season for raw oysters. Which had us question what did we eat when they said they gave us fried oysters. My mom seemed to enjoy her fried fish and fries. And a friend said that the crab eggrolls were good. And of course, the crabs were a decent size and meaty. They only had large or fat boys that day. Overall, I would just go back for the outdoor seating . - I will bring bug spray and fly repellent next time too

    Garlic Butter Crabs !!! Amazing!!!

I came into town looking for crabs. Came across a tik tok video and people were ranting and raving about the garlic butter grilled crabs!!!! When I say Woooowwwww it was amazing! I also had oysters but that wasn't as good to me. But, I had also ordered Togo. I will definitely go back and try it again! This place is a must go to place EVERY-TIME!!! Service was great! I ordered on the phone. Great system in store. There's 2 parts the restaurant side and the carry out side. I love how it's separate.

Closing out the weekend with family at Fat Boys. We were looking for a goid place to get Crabs and assortment of see food . The service is self seating. We found a nice table where we could see the football game(s). The food arrives fairly quickly once seated. The place is a local hangout so it has the sports bar vibe...tables inside and outside and let me say the weather supported the outside venue. Overall the meal was OK. The oysters, fish, as well as the crabs were over done. We discussed with the manager who exchanged some of the king crab legs. The king crab legs were looked without old bay and as a result the flavor was not baked in. The old bay was provided in a small plastic container to pour on. We noticed the color of the exchanged king cracrab legs were completely different as well. Overall ok, but did not circle the bases...Maybe a double...but clearly not a triple.

I'm torn because the crab cake sandwich was really good, full of fresh chunky lump crab meat. But the crab stew was a real disappointment! It tasted so sour. I could barely eat it. I let the server know but nothing came out of it. Oh well.

5 Stars - Absolutely Worth the Visit!…read more My husband and I discovered Blue Dolphin on social media. We didn't know anyone personally who had been there, but the photos and buzz convinced us to give it a try. We are so glad we did. We drove about 40 minutes and arrived without reservations. That part was on us. We didn't realize how strongly reservations are recommended. The wait was about an hour, but it was completely worth it. The restaurant was packed, which told us right away that this place is well loved. While we were waiting, we noticed something special. The owner, Mr. Pete, was actively involved at the front desk. He checked the waiting list, greeted guests, and spoke to many customers by name. You could immediately tell he has built real relationships with his clientele. There were several birthday celebrations happening, and the energy in the lobby felt warm and welcoming. Once seated, we were taken care of by our server, Louie. He was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. Excellent service makes a big difference, and Louie absolutely delivered. Now the food. Phenomenal. We ordered seafood platters, and the portions were enormous. They start you off with warm bread and butter, which set the tone. The seafood was fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The portions were so generous that we had enough left over to enjoy brunch the next day. For the quality and quantity, the pricing was very reasonable. The drinks were excellent, the ambiance was lively yet comfortable, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Blue Dolphin is clearly a local favorite for a reason. We will absolutely be back. And next time, we will definitely make reservations. Highly recommend.

I think a name change should be in order.. Lol! I literally had to switch up my taste buds to partake in some sushi! I ordered a seafood boil because I couldn't switch them up fast enough while she ordered sushi. I actually love the concept because so many people aren't sushi fans but most folks get down with seafood! The food was actually good and they pulled off both cuisines effortlessly! My margarita was as good as any chain Mexican restaurant, so that was additional plus given the Mexican holiday. The interior is on the smaller side, however, they offer booth seating and it has a decent size bar. If I lived in the Upper Marlboro/Bowie area like I used to, I'd come here often but since I don't, I'll occasionally stop in when I'm in the area! Good job Pier 99!

Jerry's Seafood is located in Bowie near the Bowie Town Center and there was ample parking. We came in and were shown to our table. The ambiance was minimalistic Cap Cod vibes with wood beam walls with touches of nautical items (ship wheels and pictures of tin-canned oyster containers). Our server, Eddie, was excellent. He was engaging, informative, and just had a wonderful vibe throughout our dining experience. He started us off with a basket of rolls: hot and fresh with softened butter. Our meal was starting off just as we'd hope. We started with the fresh crab dip which was rich and creamy topped with jumbo lump crab, chives and a touch of Old Bay served hot with a sliced baguette. This was my first time experiencing a crab dip so LIGHT and creamy. The Old Bay was not overwhelming, just the perfect compliment to the fresh, sweet jumbo lump crab. The baguettes were more than enough and were crisp on one side and soft on the other. This dip was exceptional. Next was our entree, the crab bomb was served with two sides ( we got the seasoned wedges and stewed tomatoes). The stewed tomatoes were fresh with a sweetness that brought back memories. The wedges were perfect: pillowy soft inside with a crisp seasoned coating. Now the crab bomb....this was exceptional: 10 ounces of all lump crab, baked to perfection; no need for additional seasonings or even a sauce; maybe a squeeze of fresh lemon. It was so sweet and delicate; one of the best I have had in a while. We also got a Mariner's Platter to go: a six ounce crab cake, flounder, fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, fried oysters, and fries scallops with two sides ( we chose two garden salads). The platter was a bit skimpy for $63 and it was just okay for us; the scallops were not edible AT ALL: they had a metallic taste that was present on the first bite, that was disappointing (this dropped our score from a 5 to 4 stars). The salads were fresh and we got the honey/lemon dressing. That dressing was SO good! I usually don't go for creamy dressing like this, BUT this dressing was so unexpectedly good! All in all, a great meal that I will drive to Bowie again for with no hesitation (except for the Mariner's Platter).

So we drove a good 30mins to get here, with anticipation from seeing this restaurant on a travel channel, but the original location is in NY. We get there, and its plenty of free parking. We ask for seating for 3 and we are told they are only seating individuals who booked a reservation. Totally understandable considering its Valentine's day. I dropped the ball folks. I didn't make a reservation. So I noticed a bar lounge which we were told we could wait for a seat to open up. As we were waiting a coupled jumped in front us and took a seat. The manager Claudia came to the rescue like the dark knight but with more grace. She mentioned she was willing to put us on the list for a table in the main dining area. I accepted her kind gesture and continued to wait for bar lounge seating to open up. A couple was kind enough to come over to us and ask if we were waiting for bar lounge seating. They offered their table to us as they were ending their night. There was a 2 man band playing in the lounge area that was very soothing to the ear. As I tried to help my mother get comfortable at the hightop table, I noticed she was having a difficult time getting seated in such a high chair. Guess who came to the rescue, you guessed, Claudia! She's the best, 100 grand, made me a real fan. So she came over and said our table was ready if we wanted a booth seating and we all know that's the best seats in the house. All I could think is look at God. The wait wasn't even long either. 10 out of 10 for saving the day. In addition our waitress was such a sweetheart. I mentioned a white malbec I saw on the menu that I was astonish to see b/c I never knew of such a thing. She bought me a small glass to taste and my God, I am a true believer Jesus turned water into wine. Its so clear like water but the taste is amazing. The food is so delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very personalable. Everyone cartered to us. You would have thought we were the Obamas or something. As we were stuffing our faces, Claudia comes around handing out roses to the men/boys to give to their dates. Complimenting my son and his daper outfit she hands him a rose and tells him to give it your mommy. At the moment he lights up with a big smile as if he paid for the rose himself. I can tell he felt like a gentleman and good that he could give his mother a red rose on Valentine's day. That small gesture was very thoughtful and appreciated. I apologize for my essay, but they desired it. I love the service, the ambiance, the food, and service. I haven't seen my mother smile so much in a while. I ordered the watermelon margarita which came with a cute note attached. We dug into the old bay wings before I remembered to take a picture. They were good and flavorful. I ordered the salmon BLTA. It was okay - not a lot of flavor, but the proportion of bread to salmon definitely didn't match up. I ended up leaving a good portion of bread on my plate. My husband had the fish and chips. Talk about a huge portion- his fish was huge! He said it was good though. My only serious complaint was that the first stall I went to in the ladies room had a broken lock on the door. That's concerning. Fortunately there was a second stall. Hopefully they get that door lock fixed soon though!

Haven't been to Bonefish in years and I only remembered how good the Bang Bang Shrimp was. My…read morefriend invited me out for Martini Monday, where Martinis and margaritas are only $5! How can you saw no to that? I usually drink margaritas but they didn't really have many to choose from and the martinis were more appealing. We shared an order of chargrilled oysters, which were good. The martinis I tried: -Key Lime Pie Martini- very frothy, tasted good but I believe it had the least amount of alcohol. -Strawberry Rose Sidecar Martini- very refreshing, sweetness helps to hide the punch from the Remy. This was my second fave after the Bee's Knees. -Bee's Knees Martini- this was my favorite of all! It had the perfect amount of sweetness and you could still taste and enjoy the gin. -Espresso Martini- not an espresso martini girl and this reminded me why. Bitter coffee and vodka. Maybe a shot of Baileys or an Irish cream would have offset the bitterness. Overall, it was $20 for 4 drinks. You can't beat that! Stars were lost because the bartender was slow to clean off the counter after we sat (took at least 5 mins to acknowledge us and assumed we were regulars and was hesitant to give us menus).
