It is located inside the Growler Sports Bar, close to the lobby. The host at Growler showed us the entrance, and since we arrived right at opening time, we were able to choose any seating we liked. They have a great cocktail menu. I tried the Brunch Bootleg and the Pink Lady, and both were delicious. What I also loved is that they can create off menu cocktails based on your preferred flavor profile, making the experience feel even more personalized. They also have a few off list draft beer options for only $10. There are three parking options available: valet for $30, self parking at the hotel for $20, or free 3 hour self parking across the street.

There were 6 of us. The gal who was doing security gave us menus and said the bartender would be by and they do table service. She gave us menus but no water. We waited for more than 10 minutes and watched two bartenders behind the bar never come over, not even greet us, bring us water, say "hey I will be with you" ... nothing. And they weren't rushed or slammed, nobody was ordering, they just didn't come out to us or even look at us, bring us waters, nothing. And by the way, their menu is disgustingly overpriced. $25 cocktails (very basic) Average cost for a GLASS OF WINE.. $30-$55 per POUR. for a mid af $100 bottle of wine lol. 55 dollars per glass of wine and we could not get an acknowledgment whatsoever. We ended up getting up and leaving and as we were walking out the bartender ran over (super quick btw, so he does have legs) and said hey where are you guys going, and we said we're leaving and he said "I was gonna come over right now" It was so cringe like he was chasing a tip from us since we had a medium size party. Not worth the hype, not worth the reviews, the influencers who post about this place probably worked something out with the management or hotel because this place is a total miss. Not even a swing and a miss. I can't say enough bad things about it.

They offer a wide variety of craft beers, making it easy to find something you'll enjoy whether you prefer IPAs, lagers, stouts, or seasonal brews. My go-to menu item is the steak nachos. They're loaded with flavor, generously portioned, and pair perfectly with a cold beer. If you're looking for a casual place with excellent craft beer and great food, NOVO Brazil Brewing in Imperial Beach is definitely worth a visit. The beer variety is outstanding, and the steak nachos are a must-try.

After the Brazil match, we arrived early for Mexico vs. England but found all tables reserved. We waited outside for an hour with no staff assistance, then went to the bar. The bar lacks organization, sometimes you order directly, other times you have to wait for a server. I asked a manager, Jimmy, for clarification, but he ignored me and waved me away like I was an inconvenience. Despite an almost empty bar, no one helped until a bartender told a server to take my order. We've always enjoyed Novo, but this experience was disappointing. Decent food and decent atmosphere can't make up for poor service, especially from management. Jimmy, I hope you improve your operational organization and professionalism.

And, only then will I entertain a night out unless I'm with the right group of people. I've been to this bar several times now and it's been nothing but good old fashion fun. You can be yourself and no one bothers you. It's not crazy crowded, at least when I've been there during the weekdays. I can actually find a seat at the bar or just lounge in the back area on a couch. There are also tables and chairs to choose from. There has been a DJ, live band, karaoke or just plain music jammin. The highlight for me: the bar tenders ! They were attentive and friendly. Shout out to Justin and I forgot young looking female bartender's name. Shout out to her too This bar may not be as lit and inviting looking from the outside, don't judge. Step inside, give it a try Oh and see how many frogs you can find around the bar ...I counted about 15 plus.

Their tacos are very flavorful and good size for the price you pay! These are definitely the closest I've had, taste-wise, to Tijuana style tacos here in SD. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially if you want to save yourself from the drive to Tijuana & the border crossing time back. My top recommendations from here would be the Taco de Cabeza and Mulita de Adobada! On a Thursday evening, this place had a good crowd, which suggested that it would be good! They have plenty of indoor seating, along with some limited patio seating. The parking lot was a good size given how full the place was! Aside from tacos, they have a great variety of Aguas frescas and beer! They also sell different Mexican snacks, as well as desserts! During this visit I only tried the menu for Taqueria Tiajuana, but I'll definitely be back to give El Cacho (seafood) a try!

Parking shouldn't be an issue, they have spots in the front but then there's the big garage right behind it, and it's free. There's also street parking but you might have to pay. Service was perfectly fine. I had no issues at all. Staff greeted us with a smile when we walked in. They were always checking up on us when we needed things. No issues at all. We had 11 tacos, cheese nachos, 2 beers and 1 margarita and it was about $50! So worth it! I highly recommend Kalaveras for Mexican food. Great vibes. Great happy hour prices. There's cool Mexican art on the wall and table was clean and wiped down. There's not too big of a menu and what they have is made really well. The chips and salsa were good. I like how light the chips are. The free salsa had more and better flavor than the red, but both are good. I got El Bàsico burrito and it was like how I used to eat it growing up when my parents would make it for me. I asked for a side of the poblano salsa they use for the chilaquiles and it was so good! It became with a side of plain crema. I left full and happy! My wife got a Quesataco with a side of frijoles and papas. The taco had a lot of meat and was super tasty. They gave you a small side of consume and that didn't disappoint either. The papas didn't have too much flavor but were nice and crispy. The beans were my wife's favorite.
