    So happening!

The snobbery can be improved in Chula Vista and that is an oxymoron. We had a party of 3 and the place was EMPTY on a Monday night at 8 am. There were maybe 8 people in the entire place. Host made use wait and let a party in with reservations. We have a group of 200+ that the company paid for us to be at this hotel. We shall take our money outside of the hotel.

Cute little speakeasy inside of growlers. It is first come first serve. The drinks and small bites really hit the spot and have a great variety.

I don't remember what my friend had but doesn't it look good??

A great spot for after-dinner cocktails and a relaxed night with friends. Behind the doors of what looks like a walk-in refrigerator, you'll find a secluded speakeasy for a discerning few. We had the French Kiss, the Golden Gatsby, the Speakeasy Smoke and other drinks custom-made. Everyone enjoyed their drinks as they did not skimp on the alcohol. Service was superb. We hung out for a while and their timing was perfect with check-ins (when we were at the tail end of our current drinks) and most importantly kept our water glasses full. Located in Growlers restaurant across from the stairs.

This is the speakeasy inside of Growlers - the sports bar inside the Gaylord Pacific conference resort. The hostess of Growlers can help you find the speakeasy (fridge door). Was there for a conference event, and then came back the next day for the full speakeasy experience. For the conference private event - top marks. Would hold something like a small wedding welcome cocktail hour here. Cocktails were batched in real time from a preset menu and good. Food was same as the speakeasy experience but served in trays with the waitresses. As a Speakeasy/ craft cocktail bar, this was everything it should be. Mixologists were excellent at a level similar to Oculto 477. The bartender offered a clarified Mai Tai inspired cocktail from the daily specials and it was completely worth the cost. That kicked off a craving for a classic Mai tai like False Idol, Trader Vic's, or Smugglers Cove. The bartender was able to deliver despite not being setup as a tiki bar (no mint garnish, crushed ice etc.) It was made with block ice but the cocktail tasted as it should. Great service, and top notch experience and would return and even consider booking for an event. Excellent ambiance, service and experience.

Nice welcome from the young lady. This cool speakeasy was recommended by our waiter and bartender next door at Trēo. This cool place is hidden in Growlers bar. Had a glass of Chardonnay and some roasted almonds.

Nice hidden speakeasy next to Growlers Sports Bar. Didn't try the food, but the cocktails are good. I ordered the Emerald & Oak, which has a special presentation but I thought is just okay. My wife got the Speakeasy Smoke, which I thought is incredible. Service is fantastic. Cocktails are $25. It's pretty special and has a downtown San Diego vibe, so I recommend checking out this (literally) hidden spot.

Old Fashion reveal. Nice touch, but $30? Really?

Waited at a rope line until we were let in to a half empty secret room through a freezer. We were a party of two. The room could easily hold 20 more people. Don't understand this! The mystique of a speakeasy secret entrance should not be ruined by a "line" of people waiting to enter when there is plenty of room for them in the first place. Also, the cocktails were beyond expensive. Way, way beyond! The atmosphere was so-so, not fun or "period". I expect a speakeasy to be warm, close quarters with plenty of things to support the concept of a speakeasy. This place is checked off my list!

2nd old-fashioned. Luxardos upon request and why I will continue to come back here for my old fashioned cocktails going forward.

The inside has a nice jungle/plant vibe -- warm, inviting decor that feels intentional without being overdone. Service stood out right away. Our waiter was attentive and checked in often without hovering. I ordered the Pupu Platter during happy hour, and it's a smart move if you want variety. It's just enough food for one and gives you a sampling of different menu items. The Korean-style wings had good flavor and just the right level of spice, though I wish they were a little crispier. The sliders were straightforward -- nothing groundbreaking -- but well made and satisfying. Fries came out crispy, which I always appreciate. My wife had the poke nachos, and those were the sleeper hit. I was skeptical about the pico at first, but it actually added depth and balance. The sauce tied everything together nicely. We also ordered a mocktail and one of their signature drinks, and both were well crafted. Overall, a great dinner with good energy, solid execution, and attentive service. A few small tweaks could push it to five stars, but we'd definitely come back.

From the start, our server was inattentive and seemed completely dismissive when we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgment at all, which made the occasion feel overlooked. To make matters worse, on a Friday night they were out of all draft beer, which was surprising for a restaurant and bar that promotes its tropical cocktails and lively atmosphere. Dessert was the biggest letdown. The mango sticky rice was honestly one of the worst versions we've ever had--poorly prepared and lacking flavor. The chocolate cake was so dry that it was practically inedible. The tropical décor and hidden tiki speakeasy "X" are interesting concepts, but the poor service and disappointing food overshadowed what should have been a special birthday celebration. We left feeling let down and will not return.

First let me start with the customer service, it was great, from the door to getting seated to the waiters checking on us & the cooks smiling & the speed & quality of the service was all great. And the prices are very reasonable, they don't open till 5 tho, for dinner basically, weekends can get busy so get there early. The food was very good, I got the Chula Vita Ramen & I'd get it again, very filling & flavorful. The sushi was very fresh & good & filling as well, Abre La Boca Mucho was our fav roll, it can be shared with another person for sure, Viva Chula Vista was a good roll too. Miso soup was ok & no garlic edamame they have lemon butter edamame, if you like lemon & butter flavor you'll like it, it was ok but it lack a bit of flavor for me. My fav item here was the Jalapeño Popper as an appetizer, 8 pieces & man let me tell you, it was mouth watering & on point, it's a must to start with. Overall I good little spot & we come again for sure, keep up the good work Naruto & see you soon :)

Wait outside on the sidewalk (no exterior seating) and someone will come to take you inside. Do not ring the door bell. The theme is to take it slow. Each customer typically waits 20-30 minutes to enter as part of how they do things, even if there is open seating inside. Not sure if they use a timer to space entries but it seems consistent. They take one group in at a time. Interior: A few tables around the wall and then bar seating. Would not recommend for parties greater than 2, there just isn't the space. They welcome service animals, babies/children and strollers from what I observed. The music was very, very loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation. I did not see a bathroom. Ordering process: After seating you wait for a little bit for them to bring small water cups and a QR menu with a table number and a set of rules. They do not have a physical menu, you must use your phone to order. Cell phone reception was dicey and took a long time to load. They have an interesting concept where you have a digital 'tab' open on their toast website. Unfortunately you must provide your full name, email and phone number. They have pour over drinks (note these can take 15-20 minutes), matcha, Hojicha and others. You may only order one drink per person at a time. They have a small snack menu with rotating foods. They use oat milk only. No substitutions allowed. After mobile ordering, drinks take 20-30 minutes as part of their take it slow vibe. Matcha $8 is from Paru tea and was very good. Hojicha $8 was too milky and didn't have a strong enough flavor. When you are done you walk to the register by the door and wait to be checked out. If they are making a drink you wait until they are finished. I wasn't really a fan. Staff were brusque. Music was too loud to converse.

We booked a 4:30pm dinner time on a Sunday about 2 weeks in advance because of the Christmas theme (Holly Jolly Bar) and we were one of the first ones there and seated right away. The admission fee ($19) comes with a welcome hot chocolate drink and we all opted for the non-alcoholic version. We ordered the artichoke dip (our favorite), the rolled tacos, corn ribs and sliders. It was just the right amount for our party of 4, but for the price of ~$15 for each of these plates, I would expect the servings to be much larger. Despite that, they were all pretty good shareables! Service was great, contrary to what previous reviews mentioned. Our server was attentive, constantly checking on us, and our food came out quickly. She even took pics of us which was kind of her. Overall, my friends and I really enjoyed our experience here and we liked that it was nice and intimate instead of loud and crowded. Christmas music was playing the whole time and it was at a good noise level. It probably made a difference too that it wasn't that busy when we went especially with it being after Christmas. Parking isn't really an issue since this is located at the Chula Vista Shopping Mall so there's plenty around, although might be tough to get some right outside with Raising Cane's being right next to this restaurant.

I will say that the experience had improved from what I read. I read that the service was slow and folks felt rushed. Our service wasn't slow and we didn't feel rushed. Our waiter came to our table multiple times and we were able to enjoy everything we ordered in a good amount of time. The welcome drink is the naughty hot chocolate and if I were to have it again I would get it without alcohol. I think it would have tasted better. I don't drink alot though, and I'm more of a bailey's in hot chocolate girlie rather than tequila. So take that as you will. They had some christmas hits playing but they could have added in some more modern versions of the classics to the playlist. The vibe was chill. Definitely get there on time because you have to leave once your time slot is over. We went at the 6p time slot and it was cool. I wonder if it gets more hype in the later time slots. Also, they have high tops and regular tables. I think if you come later, you get places at a high top. I ordered the sliders and they were good imo. I tasted the corn ribs and I really enjoyed those. They were flavorful. My cousins ordered the rolled tacos and they really enjoyed them. They said the chile that comes with the rolled tacos is hot so keep that in mind if you need to stay away from spicy things. Even though these are normally appetizers, I was satisfied with what I ate. It was a good amount of food. We ended up ordering the smores and churros. I did not taste the churros but no one said anything about them so I think the smores were better. I had 2 smores and I might have to buy this little smores kit they had. They were so good. At the end, the grinch came out with some free shots. It was a cool little thing to get into the holiday spirit. We took some pictures for the gram and talked. I will say, I had never been to LTC before so in my mind, I was expecting an actual bar experience. Music, maybe some dancing, lounge seating, etc. That would have been cool but this was nice too. All together I spent around $60 for the whole experience including the ticket and the food.
