We came here for lunch over the weekend. This location has been many different types of restaurants and most recently a sports bar. They've kept the banks of televisions, but completely redone the decor to reflect the Mexican heritage. There are large and colorful wall paintings including day of the dead representations. It feels bright and clean inside. We were warmly greeted on entering and shown to a booth. We had friendly service -- and I got to practice a bit of my Spanish. The menu is large and a number of items sounded appealing. They've only been open a short while and were not that busy when we came. We were served a basket of crisp chips and two salsas. To drink, my husband ordered a chilada. It was with your choice of brand of domestic beer. It was slightly spicy and nicely presented. For my lunch, I had their avocado salad with steak. It was a large bowl of greens with sliced steak and avocado pieces and chopped tomatoes. I chose their cilantro lime dressing which I really liked. My husband had two tostados with ground beef. He liked his food as well. I'm hoping this place is successful as it's convenient to our house, the food was good, the portions large, and the prices quite reasonable.

    MEXICAN BURRITO

I went with a friend wanting to get birria tacos only to find out that's only Saturdays and Sundays. But we decided to try new things, she got the tacos and I got a mexican burrito. Not really our type of cuisine, so we didn't finish our meals. The appetizer chips were the best part. The server was pretty nice though.

Great destination for Taco Tuesday. Full bar, large parking area, delicious fillings. See you next Tuesday.

My wife and I have been wanting to try this fairly new location near the house. When we arrived we received a friendly welcome and offered our choice of a table or booth. We chose a booth with a good view of food as it was being delivered to diners. Immediately, a basket of tortilla chips and two sauces was brought to the table. The ambiance is very festive and rich with colorful murals. I ordered a Chelada, which is served in a huge glass with an attachment to accommodate your choice of beer. The glass is filled halfway with Chelada mix, rimmed with spicy salt, and the beer bottle is inverted through the holder and into the Chelada mix. Gravity mixes the beer into the glass as you drink. It was great and paired very well with the two tostadas with ground beef. My wife enjoyed her avocado salad with steak slices. Service was fast and friendly and we felt comfortable and full! Glad we stopped and discovered a great new neighborhood restaurant.

This is a medium-large sized restaurant located on the side of a big plaza in Greenacres. Parking may be difficult to find right in front of the restaurant, but there is plenty in the rest of the plaza. They have a decent size bar on the right side of the entrance, and a big dining room with modern furniture but typical Mexican colorful paintings on the walls. Since we live in the area, we were looking forward to their grand opening, and we came here one afternoon during the week to check their HH, but we found out that (unfortunately) they only run it for a few drinks. As soon as you sit they bring you tortilla chips with a couple of sauces, which were a little bland to be honest. The margarita was also just ok, but to be fair, I haven't found a place yet that makes great margaritas. We ordered tacos with chorizo and al pastor: I liked that they are "simple" (the filling consists of just meat, onions and cilantro - no cheeses or other stuff that doesn't have anything to do with authentic tacos), but the meats were just ok. Actually, the chorizo was almost tasteless. At the suggestion of our bartender (who was really friendly and helpful) we also ordered Chicken Tamales. The chicken was a little bit bland, but I never had tamales before, so I can't really judge them. Their portions are big and prices are decent, and we had decided to go back to them from time to time for HH on their Taco-Tuesday. I had also already decided to give them 3 stars on my review until... Cinco de Mayo happened. That day we stopped there for a Margarita on our way back home: it was still HH time and we were curious to see how they were celebrating the day and what specials they had planned. It was just almost 6:30pm, the restaurant was almost full (maybe that's why they were offering drinks in plastic glasses only?), nothing particular was going on, but they did run a "special" indeed: the HH had been cancelled "for the Cinco de Mayo only"! I won't question the reasons behind that business decision, but what really got me upset is that there was no sign about that change anywhere, the menu still had the HH days+prices on it (they could have crossed them - or done something similar to make people understand that there was no HH that day), and even when I ordered the drinks, I wasn't told about that. We only found out when we noticed that we were billed the full price ($10.99 per Margarita) instead of the HH price ($6.99) and reached out to the waitress thinking that it was an honest mistake. Yes, we could have "fought" those charges but... why bother and ruin a day? At the end we only "lost" $10 combined, but the restaurant lost 2 customers who were already planning to visit again.

Beautifully decorated inside with oil paintings all over the walls, full of colors and a good vibe, El Centenario is a recently opened Mexican-inspired restaurant in Greenacres. The food was okay in our experience, the meat used in tacos, including chorizo, was a bit tasteless, but that happened in 9 places out of 10 serving tacos in this area. Margaritas are the usual bar-premade margaritas, so on the light and sweet side; again, that's pretty much everywhere; if I want a margarita without the ready mix bottle, I make it at home. Service was pretty good in the two occasions we visited and prices are in range with similar establishments. They kind of upset me on Cinco de Mayo when we stopped for a couple of drinks in happy hour and then found out that they charged regular price; when I questioned that I was told that HH was canceled during Cinco de Mayo. That is fine, but they should have told us when we ordered, and even more than that they should have removed the board outside advertising for Happy Hour margarita. Other than that it's an excellent place to eat Mexican-inspired food, at reasonable prices and with good service.

Really good food and service. On this new Mexican restaurant. Awesome taco Tuesday deal and drink specials. We come here. Probably three times a month at least. Highly recommend.

The service was not the best. We had to wave our server down several times because she was busy huddled up chit chatting with the other servers. The food was typical Tex mex. Nothing special, but not horrible. The ambiance of the restaurant was just an average little place, quiet at the time we went which was a Sunday around 5:30-6pm

Just tried it for the first time and we'll definitely be back! We are vegetarian so it can be hard to find options at Mexican restaurants but El Centenario had several options for us. I ordered the vehicle enchiladas and I was shocked!! The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked or goopy. My partner had the chili rellino and again the pepper was fresh & the cheese was real cheese. The corn tortillas were so fresh & good they might actually be house made but I forgot to ask. The rice was fluffy and not the standard "Mexican rice" you get at most places.

The steak, peppers, and onions were very good. Everything was and portions are good, especially when you are hungry. Not busy, so parking out front was easy. Clean, nice, friendly place. We had plans, so no drinks other than water. This place will likely be our go-to Mex restaurant.

    Steak tacos

Love them best steak tacos ever! So much food and they were staff was so nice as well.

The birria tacos are only available on Saturdays and sundays but sooo worth the wait.

Ordering is very easy and intuitive, regardless of age no one needs their hands held. I'll also add that I really didn't like the "no cash" policy. Everything except for the ordering/payment experience was great but I will say that having someone breathing down your neck while you are ordering sets the negative tone from the start. Tip: Update the software to autogenerate a number for Dine in or to go orders and that Kiosk Supervisor can go away, I'm sure they are sick and tired of saying the same instruction over and over and over every single day - "Enter your number in the name field so we don't have to yell out your name"

We dined here for lunch on a Friday and were seated promptly but they did a server swap since they saw that we were non Spanish speaking Gringos and needed a server who spoke English. Cesar was our server and he too was very nice. He brought us the complimentary fried flour tortilla chips and the 3 salsas, which he explained the level of heat for each. They were all tasted fresh made and quite delicious. My husband ordered a Chicken Burrito that was totally stuffed and I ordered 3 tacos. (Carnitas, Beef Barbacoa, & De Chivo- goat Barbacoa) They were all garnished with radish slices, sauteed onions, and a lime wedge. Truly authentic. The restaurant is very big inside with a nice bar area, a stage for music, a video screen and lots of sombreros to have a spirited time in the evenings. There are shelves along the wall where they have authentic clay Mexican bowls, cups, and other very pretty objects for sale but I didn't see the prices. On the table napkin dispensers, there were advertisements for their daily specials. For the ladies, they will bring a wooden tree to hang your purse, which I thought was pretty special. The decor was really fun, too. Outside they have a quick service food stand/truck in the large parking lot when you need just one more taco for the road or a quick bite on the way home. I very much enjoyed my dining experience here and will definitely be coming back because the menu looked amazing in decriptions. Come for the food and great service because it was a great meal.

I have to say that the taco varieties are amazing and very flavorful. The micheladas are very good and refreshing.
