Meat made off site.

'Twas the best of Taco Tuesdays. It was the worst of Taco Tuesdays. Then it got to be the best again. After seeing the photographs of the food on Yelp, I came looking for a taco truck that does not exist. At least at this location. This is a restaurant. I ordered. The dining room is small, very plain, and needs a little bit of love. Maybe even a cold drinks machine or something that would allow the guests to pick out a dessert or something. I know when you're coming in from the taco truck world that is definitely a big change, but they need something to make that dining room click because right now it's small with tables that are very sticky and not Particularly a nice place to come and sit and eat. Which is a huge shame because the food, the best of times again that we grabbed for takeout was off the hook good. I think we tried all the different kinds of tacos. The meat was excellent. The preparation and cooking were excellent. Even guacamole chips were surprisingly excellent The staff were friendly enough, but it was starting to feel like a bad Abbott and Costello routine every time I kept telling the guy yes regular tacos. All of these are going to be regular tacos. No cheese. Every time he went back and asked me if I wanted cilantro and onions on nine different tacos. That is enough to put anyone's teeth on edge. What part of I told you that all of these upfront are made the same way did we not get. He even read back to me afterwards the entire thing. I hope that his OCD anonymous meeting goes well. Five star food. Definitely worth picking up. Four-star service. Less is more. Two star dining room. Clean the place so it's not sticky. Everywhere. Four up!

Amazing tacos and service! Tacos were top notch! Excellent service! Highly quesabirria tacos! Would come back

Chicken Tacos x3

These are probably the best chicken tacos I've had in south Florida. The wait time was minimal, and the interaction was pleasant. Delicious food and quiet enough to stay in for a while. I very much enjoyed this visit

Carne asada burrito

This place was honestly average at best. The location is in a strip mall, which I feel isn't properly located. The inside was quiet and there was only one guy working in there and taking the orders. The food was average. nothing to write home about- it could use some more seasoning. I feel it has a lot of potential though, I may come back for something else. My burrito was a bit cold.

Service was amazing super cute atmosphere, food is FRESH and made in front of you, definitely would love to see more business here. Always checking in on you making sure everything is good, they certainly take pride in the food here.

Three tacos. One chicken two Carne Asada.

This was my first visit. I saw the great reviews on Yelp and decided to place an online order. When I arrived, it was not yet ready and it looked like they had just started it. Employees could have been a little more welcoming. I ordered one chicken taco and two Carne Asada tacos. First bite of the chicken taco was not very impressive. The chicken itself lacked flavor or maybe it was just a little low in salt. I added some lime juice and drenched it in the green sauce, likely tomatillo salsa. That sauce was delicious. The carne asada tacos had way more flavor and were very good.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and this place did not disappoint! The service was exceptional, from the moment we walked in, we were greeted and sat. Food came out pretty fast and it was fresh, tasted amazing and filling. We tried the QuesaBirria tacos and the Gordita's with Al Pastor. Literally filled with flavor and ingredients tasted fresh. It was a mouth watering type experience ! Will definitely be back and highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.

We ordered a few cocktails, the El Segundo Classico, a classic margarita, and the Oaxaca Peach Old Fashioned made of blanco tequila and a bit of mezcal, very refreshing to start off with. Our servers recommended a few different menu items. The Pimento Cheese Elote Dip small plate was delicious. We then moved on to the tacos - the Brisket Burnt Ends, the Chicharron Ceviche, and the Cali Fish (my favorite). The Cali Fish was nicely fried and just a bit of heat and slightly sweet slaw. Also tried the Birria Tacos and the Burrito, both great. We loved sitting outside in front of the restaurant. There are few artist studios across the parking lot. I thought El Segundo was a solid 4.5/5.

El Segundo has ample indoor and outdoor seating. Though slammed, I sat at the bar and met Connor. His beer "is so cold, your teeth will hurt." That statement is a sign on Isla Majure. The menu is awesome. Prices are great. It was tough to finish my blackened chicken burrito! Deliciosa!!! But what makes this place vibe is the young staff. They rock! And they got each other's 6. I witnessed this as Sam was pouring one of their famous margaritas. As she was close to empty with her container, Connor does a stealthy maneuver and slips in another container for her. Sam did not miss a beat because of Connor. Everyone and I mean everyone connects. It is worth your time. Enjoy the local art too.

I knew it was a hit because as soon as I walked in the place was packed and this was a Wednesday night. I ordered their loaded nachos, churros and a drink. I'll start off with the nachos. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and very welcoming. I love that people were enjoying themselves talking and having a good time. In fact, when we left all the booths were occupied plus half the other tables in the middle of the room. They gave us chips and salsa to start. The salsa was just okay. They had a number of lunch specials. We ordered from the combo section. I ordered a chalupa with ground beef without onions and chose the regular beans (vs the refried ones). I had to look up what a chalupa was... and basically it's a softer more bread like wrap. It was fried, so it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The portion was large with melted cheese. Alongside was a small scoop of sour cream and one of guacamole. A mound of yellow rice and a small taco shell cup of red beans rounded out the plate. It was good, but fairly plain tasting. Adding some salt and salsa helped a bit. My husband got a combo with two different options. He wound up taking one part of his lunch home. His meal came with refried beans and yellow rice. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know.

So that was a nice surprise! Then the people started flooding the place! Glad we got there early haha The margaritas.... wow. We tried a few different ones and they were all so amazing! The most unexpected and unique one was the spicy avocado one - don't knock it, till you try it! Made with fresh avocados, it was like a delicious tequila smoothie almost. SO good. I also tried the Guava Habanero (available for happy hour), delicious! My husband ordered a few spicy margaritas to his taste, they can make them as spicy as you'd like! Food - we ordered the smoked spanish octopus (not happy hour). This was VERY good. The octopus was cooked perfectly and had great flavor! Then from the happy hour menu, we got a chicken quesadilla and a carnitas taco. Both yummy! Really enjoyed the quesadilla! I hadn't been in here a very long time (since when they first opened) so we had a great time and definitely will be coming back for happy hour again. It's a GREAT HH!

We were able to find parking very easily and did not have to pay which is rare in this district! I ordered the chicken bowl and they were able to accommodate my no rice request and keeping sauce on the side and we snacked on some yuca frita while waiting for our mains. My friend got a chorizo taco and she said the taste was amazing and her mouth exploded with flavor. My bowl was also great and I would definitely order it again since it's nothing like chipotle and the food came out super quickly. They seem to have great specials everyday and even a happy hour! The inside didn't have as many tables but they did have an outdoor patio portion and there was a large jug of water for water cups as well. I also enjoyed their in house hot sauce which added the perfect amount of spice to my meal. If I'm in the area I will stop here 100%. Thank you for a great meal!

They'll bring your tacos out to you. I got the pescadito taco. The fish has a nice and crisp batter, it stayed light and wasn't too oily. The fish was super flakey and moist. Everything on this taco worked so well together. The pickled red onion helps cut through the richness of the guac and fattiness of the batter on the fish. The pineapple is a burst of freshness and sweetness that live a up the whole thing while also balancing sharpness from the onion. If you can here hungry, you're probably putting away 4 tacos. If you are a normal functioning human and don't eat like it's your last meal, 2-3 will probably be good. So you're looking at $14-$28 on food. For me, on an empty stomach, this would be pushing $30 for tacos which IMO is a bit steep (and let's be honest, if I'm that hungry I might make a bad decision and get more than 4). That said, it was really good. I wish they had some combo options though 3 for $16, 4 for $20 etc.

Staff was welcoming and I cozied right up at the bar to wait for my friend. I was immediately brought chips and salsa and a cold beer. We ended up sitting at a high top and our waitress suggested that I try either carne asada from the Mexican menu or Vaca Frita from the Cuban menu. I love me some carne asada but I was intrigued but this 'fried shredded beef' that was marinated in mole and cooked in a hot skillet until crispy. She suggested sweet plantains to go with it and white rice with beans which is traditional Cuban (instead of yellow rice). IT WAS FABULOUS! It was crispy on the outside and juicy. The mole was flavorful but not spicy and i appreciated that the meat was not dripping in sauce. My dinner date ordered chicken tamales which were seasoned in a Cuban style with yellow rice. She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all. However, the first one she ordered (pictured) which was a different flavor was a show stopper.
