Tacos x3
Nalio E.

This was a great surprise. Walked in expecting it to be underwhelming and was shocked with how delicious everything was. I ordered a agua de Jamaica (hibiscus tea) and it was delicious. Next we ordered the guacamole and it was so good and fresh. For the entree I ordered tacos 3 ways (steak, birria, al pastor) they were all sooooo good! The staff here is also amazing and treated us so well like we had been there many times when it was our first time there. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

'Twas the best of Taco Tuesdays. It was the worst of Taco Tuesdays. Then it got to be the best again. After seeing the photographs of the food on Yelp, I came looking for a taco truck that does not exist. At least at this location. This is a restaurant. I ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is small, very plain, and needs a little bit of love. Maybe even a cold drinks machine or something that would allow the guests to pick out a dessert or something.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I know when you're coming in from the taco truck world that is definitely a big change, but they need something to make that dining room click because right now it's small with tables that are very sticky and not Particularly a nice place to come and sit and eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Which is a huge shame because the food, the best of times again that we grabbed for takeout was off the hook good. I think we tried all the different kinds of tacos. The meat was excellent. The preparation and cooking were excellent. Even guacamole chips were surprisingly excellent The staff were friendly enough, but it was starting to feel like a bad Abbott and Costello routine every time I kept telling the guy yes regular tacos. All of these are going to be regular tacos. No cheese. Every time he went back and asked me if I wanted cilantro and onions on nine different tacos. That is enough to put anyone's teeth on edge. What part of I told you that all of these upfront are made the same way did we not get. He even read back to me afterwards the entire thing. I hope that his OCD anonymous meeting goes well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Five star food. Definitely worth picking up. Four-star service. Less is more. Two star dining room. Clean the place so it's not sticky. Everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Four up!

Amazing tacos and service! Tacos were top notch! Excellent service! Highly quesabirria tacos! Would come back

Carne asada burrito

This place was honestly average at best. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is in a strip mall, which I feel isn't properly located.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was quiet and there was only one guy working in there and taking the orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was average. nothing to write home about- it could use some more seasoning. I feel it has a lot of potential though, I may come back for something else. My burrito was a bit cold.

Chicken Tacos x3

These are probably the best chicken tacos I've had in south Florida. The wait time was minimal, and the interaction was pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious food and quiet enough to stay in for a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I very much enjoyed this visit

Quesabirria x3

Stopped by for a quick lunch and this place did not disappoint! The service was exceptional, from the moment we walked in, we were greeted and sat. Food came out pretty fast and it was fresh, tasted amazing and filling. We tried the QuesaBirria tacos and the Gordita's with Al Pastor. Literally filled with flavor and ingredients tasted fresh. It was a mouth watering type experience ! Will definitely be back and highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.

Three tacos. One chicken two Carne Asada.

This was my first visit. I saw the great reviews on Yelp and decided to place an online order. When I arrived, it was not yet ready and it looked like they had just started it. Employees could have been a little more welcoming. I ordered one chicken taco and two Carne Asada tacos. First bite of the chicken taco was not very impressive. The chicken itself lacked flavor or maybe it was just a little low in salt. I added some lime juice and drenched it in the green sauce, likely tomatillo salsa. That sauce was delicious. The carne asada tacos had way more flavor and were very good.

We ordered a few cocktails, the El Segundo Classico, a classic margarita, and the Oaxaca Peach Old Fashioned made of blanco tequila and a bit of mezcal, very refreshing to start off with. Our servers recommended a few different menu items. The Pimento Cheese Elote Dip small plate was delicious. We then moved on to the tacos - the Brisket Burnt Ends, the Chicharron Ceviche, and the Cali Fish (my favorite). The Cali Fish was nicely fried and just a bit of heat and slightly sweet slaw. Also tried the Birria Tacos and the Burrito, both great. We loved sitting outside in front of the restaurant. There are few artist studios across the parking lot. I thought El Segundo was a solid 4.5/5.

El Segundo has ample indoor and outdoor seating. Though slammed, I sat at the bar and met Connor. His beer "is so cold, your teeth will hurt." That statement is a sign on Isla Majure. The menu is awesome. Prices are great. It was tough to finish my blackened chicken burrito! Deliciosa!!! But what makes this place vibe is the young staff. They rock! And they got each other's 6. I witnessed this as Sam was pouring one of their famous margaritas. As she was close to empty with her container, Connor does a stealthy maneuver and slips in another container for her. Sam did not miss a beat because of Connor. Everyone and I mean everyone connects. It is worth your time. Enjoy the local art too.

I ordered a margarita from the happy hour menu--well priced and absolutely delicious. My husband had tacos with rice and beans, and I ordered the ribeye with chimichurri sauce. I asked for my steak medium, and it came out a bit more rare than expected, but the staff handled it graciously and made it right. Once corrected, it was delicious. The chips and salsa were very tasty, and while the spicy salsa wasn't quite as spicy as we expected, it still had great flavor. The staff was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. We would absolutely return.

The guacamole is delicious and the chips are homemade. Really good! I had the hibiscus agua fresca and my daughter had the Rivales margarita. Both were wonderful. For dinner we all had tacos . I had the el hongo and al pastor. Both were scrumptious. My daughter had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. She liked both but rated the shrimp taco the highest. My niece had the ribeye, carne asada and al pastor tacos. Nothing left on her plate, so she must have liked them! The tacos look small, but they are generously filled. I was comfortably full. I understand why my niece is a repeat customer. I would go again

The burritos are wrapped and lightly grilled and the steak inside was authentic flavorful, and plenty. They also provide complementary chips with a little bit of salsa, which is always a plus. They have a very small indoor section with about two small tables and then a bigger patio section in the back. That's very colorful and lively. It looks like they might have a DJ or outdoor bar in the cooler months, but we visited during summertime and it was pretty hot and human back there but regardless still a vibe. This is a spot where you order at the counter and then they bring out your meal to your table. Everyone was super friendly here and quick. I would definitely recommend them and I will return when I'm in the area. I was able to take some beautiful pictures. It was self-serve at the front counter. The food came out within a minute! The only issue was parking. The GPS took me behind the building and I had no idea where to go! The strip shopping center next door had signs all over "no restaurant parking." I ended up parking a block down on the street.

Staff was welcoming and I cozied right up at the bar to wait for my friend. I was immediately brought chips and salsa and a cold beer. We ended up sitting at a high top and our waitress suggested that I try either carne asada from the Mexican menu or Vaca Frita from the Cuban menu. I love me some carne asada but I was intrigued but this 'fried shredded beef' that was marinated in mole and cooked in a hot skillet until crispy. She suggested sweet plantains to go with it and white rice with beans which is traditional Cuban (instead of yellow rice). IT WAS FABULOUS! It was crispy on the outside and juicy. The mole was flavorful but not spicy and i appreciated that the meat was not dripping in sauce. My dinner date ordered chicken tamales which were seasoned in a Cuban style with yellow rice. She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all.
