Party of 10 today for lunch, we were greeted by the friendly host and seated immediately. The server took our beverage order right away and filled us in on the Sunday drink specials. We ordered the Sunday special pomegranate margaritas and they were tasty. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Another Sunday bonus, kids eat free and we had 3 in our party. The server was mindful of our table and we were served in good time for a large party. Everyone ordered from the lunch menu and was satisfied with their meals. The puffy tacos were good as well as the other entrees. The fried ice cream was delicious. The server did a great job handling 10 people with 3 kids. El Charro of Fraser is recommended.

I love the fluffy taco! Service was great today... fast and friendly! I requested to sit by the fireplace and it kept me warm on this cold rainy day.

Got to love the puffy tacos... We have been big fans of El Charros for as long as I can remember. The restaurant has a very cool interior - not the typical mexican restaurant decor - more upscale . We love the puffy tacos and the Mexican pizza. This is a must stop whenever we are in the Detroit area. The service never disappoints. We'll worth a try...

I always order their botana. It tastes great HOT. However, since they got rid of their foil bottom container for this cardboard one, it comes home COLD. Very dumb decision on the part of the owners

Food is delicious as always. We got the avocado crisp, however I don't understand how an app costs as much as a meal. The Mexican sandwiching with ground beef is decision. My biggest complaint our salad had a bunch of bad lettuce in it. It would be a 5 otherwise.

As always I ordered the puffy taco dinner, Zack got the wet burrito! Everything was cooked to perfection we dined in and the staff was so nice and friendly. Place was clean. Love El Charros.

Cinco de mayo!! This is such a large and beautiful venue! It was nice and warm outside and the bar was filled so we sat on the patio which also became filled with beautiful people and excellent service! I wish I could've tried some food but we were restaurant hopping and just came for a nice beer and margarita but we were given some chips and salsa for free at our table! I know we will come back to enjoy the tasty food and maybe try the famous "puffy taco" there's like 4 different vibes you can sit in. I didn't get to take pictures of them all but it all looked beautiful! We had a great time! A lot of space and a lot of food to choose from! Come try it! You'll be happy! Something that made us laugh was the person sitting right in the entrance of the restaurant. They must've gotten too lit but they were sitting there throwing up in a bag lmfaooo we were on our way out but I feel bad for the people on their way in and their first impression was the sound and view of someone throwing up in the lobby lolllll! If I was working there I would've made them go to the bathroom or outside or something cause you finna turn everyone's stomach lolllllllllll!!!

Tables seated after us had already received drinks, chips, and salsa before we were even greeted. Once our server finally came over, things moved quickly -- but I still had to walk around the restaurant tracking down staff just to get napkins and silverware. For food, I ordered the 3-piece chicken dinner tacos and found them way too salty. I ended up using the beans on the side to try and balance the flavor out. My spouse had the birria tacos and thought they were decent. Chips and salsa were fine. At $40 for two people the price was fair, but between the slow start to service and the overly salty food, we left feeling just okay about the experience. Not sure we'd make it back.

My wife and I have been running errands and wanted to try something new for supper and found this place on yelp. When we arrived it seemed a little quiet, but the hostess/waitress quickly appeared and showed us to a table. From there everything went smoothly. I opted for a plate of enchiladas, and found them to be very well prepared and seasoned. The salsa had that wonderful tomato forward texture to it that I enjoy very much. The room is small, and it's clear that they get most of their business on carryout. That being said I think if you showed up with a somewhat larger party they would be glad to take care of you. They certainly took good care of us.

Being that I'm on this side of town for a few days, I figured it was finally time to check it out. The location's much bigger with more seating than the Rochester Hills one. Nicely decorated with ample seating, you order at the counter and they run the food out to you. Not sure if they have waitresses or not, but that's how they were running it when I was there. I asked if they had Birria tacos and the man behind the counter said they do, just not on the menu. I ordered the taco dinner with shredded beef, rice, beans and a glass of water. I got served chips and dip which was okay, but the salsa was a bit runny for my liking. The "hot" salsa was good, and wasn't overpowering. Eventually, my food came out and it was a huge portion! I was impressed with all three tacos, rice and beans. It was only $13 on the menu, so I was happy with how much food I was served. The beef was a little on the dry side but still fairly good. Rice and beans were decent, but the music was a bit on the louder side. I docked a star for the meat being a bit dry and louder music considering it wasn't really necessary. The man who rang me up was super nice and friendly and also went through the menu with me since I had a few questions before ordering. Overall, a decent meal for the price and I'd return in the future.

The owner and chef, Ricardo, and his staff are attentive and personable. The elote fries are a great way to start a meal. I've also had a pork tamal/tamale. It was a bit dry, but I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence. I've tried four tacos on the menu: acorazado (fried chicken), al pastor, ceviche (marinated shrimp), and carnitas. Of those, the carnitas was by far my favorite. The pork is cooked with pig's feet, which noticeably enhances the flavor profile. I've also had the birria pizza. I personally prefer birria tacos, but have not tried them here yet. On the sweeter side, the aguas frescas, ice cream, and sweet bread are all must-tries. I've also gotten the chocolate-dipped banana. I would get this again, but the other sweets are superior. After sampling all the aguas frescas and ice cream flavors, I can honestly say I enjoyed them all. The ice cream stood out the most, as there are so many unique flavors. Prickly pear, gancito, tres leches, bubble gum, and piñon (pine nut) are just a few of the options available. As for the sweet bread, I got it on my way out, and it barely made it to my car. Although I loved the elote fries and carnitas taco, it was the sweets that impressed me the most. Most importantly, everything is made in-house. In a day and age where outsourcing has become so common, an establishment like Michi Michi cannot go unappreciated.
