a man sitting at a table with a green margarita
    Jeff G.

I've only had one experience here but man was it horrific. My experience was consistent with a lot of the other reviews...dirty, rude, bad food, and the worst margarita I think I have ever had. I was coming from Spiceland. I usually go to a Mexican place in Knightstown. A friend talked me into trying this place. Our friendship is now rocky. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the filth. The windows are dirty, the blinds were nasty and all of them were crooked or broken. If the customer facing stuff is that bad, imagine the kitchen. The next thing I noticed was how seemingly unhappy they were to help us. Very standoffish and just downright rude. The server wasn't any better. I saw they listed some good tequilas so I wanted a top shelf margarita. The server said "they are pre made and it's with 1800". That's not top shelf but whatever, it's a margarita right? Let's do it. It tasted like a lime flavored snow cone. I left half of it on the table. Have you EVER done that? Yeah, me neither! I ordered the Pollo Toluca. It looked good and even tasted pretty decent. When I got back to where I was staying, I had to sprint to the bathroom! YIKES. I was left with no reason to ever try it again. Hopefully my review can help them either improve or close and do something they love.

Lunch combo - enchilada, burrito, rice

We popped in for some carryout while at an event in New Castle. Ordering was easy (other than having a lot of choices) and the food arrived quickly and all packaged to go. Our lunch entrees also included chips and salsa. We opted for the 'regular' salsa and it had plenty of spice. We both ordered a lunch combo - cheese enchilada, beef burrito, and rice, then added a ground beef taco. Everything was hot and flavorful. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

Hawaiian Fajitas. Forget the name--just try 'em!

Its ok nothing special. Chicken tacos are dry. If you are in Newcastle you will be better off to go to losamigos

We absolutely love the fresh guacamole here, they squeeze lime juice, and mix lime in with it, and it is like nothing that I've ever had at any other Mexican restaurant. Solid lunch choice in Connersville and three entrées, drinks and guacamole were only $50.

I'm leaving, she comes out with a long handle dustpan and dumps it out in the parking lot. How nice if your to throw your garbage from your restaurant out in the front. I get home 22 minutes away, and I got beef instead of chicken. I call and said you made a mistake .she wants to argue about it saying that it doesn't say chicken on order. I say yes it does I'm looking at the order, I got a screenshot and it says online on my profile. After blaming me and not taking responsibility. She finally says bring the food back and we'll make you another. I just hang up. Im mad.. 10 min later They call saying where are you? When I asked are you the manager? She pauses and says "sure" that's how our conversation began. I said I'm not coming. I'm mad I'm 20 minutes away. She's got all kinds of attitude complaining " I wouldn't have made the meal if i knew u weren't coming." After making all kinds of excuses for the issue it is sooooo obvious she can't stand any complaints of any kind. Defensive and resentful. BTW making a tip mandatory or online order is just tacky. The restaurant is dark and gloomy service is dark and gloomy as well. Only reason I ordered there is cuz I mistakenly thought it's was caballo Blanco restaurant

Overall, the fajitas were decent. Plenty on the portion size (especially for the price) but there was a noticeable amount of meat that had unchewable bits in it. Just not an appetizing finish. Beans and rice were typical side fare. Service was prompt and attentive. Don't overlook the strip mall location, it's got a huge menu and people seemed happy with what they got

It is right on the Main Street in Anderson near all the car dealerships, Michaels, etc. It's in a strip mall, so plenty of parking. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went in because of this, wasn't sure if it would be take out only, or if they would actually have seating but it's an actual restaurant with plenty of seating. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and sat. The staff all stopped by to say hello and very friendly. No sooner than we sat down our server (who was also the person that sat us) obtained our drink order and thanked us for coming in. We ordered pretty quickly and the food came out just as quick. I must say the salsa is 10/10. Tacos, solid, although you can't really go wrong with tacos and fajitas, hard to mess those up. It is a solid taco spot. We ordered taco platter which included 3 tacos, and the fajitas and one drink and the bill came up with tip around $40, so not super cheap but reasonable for the amount of food you get. The reason for my 5 is less about the food and more about the service.
