Wife and I stopped in while passing thru New Castle which we do every few weeks. Hungry for Mexican we stopped in. What a treat! I love vegetarian fajitas. They were as good as I ever had! There are two Mexican restaurants in New Castle, and if I had to choose, I would always choose to go here in a heart beat. My husband and I chose this place on a whim for date night around Christmas of last year and we loved it. I always get the Nachos Al Carbon and my husband gets the burrito trio (cheese burrito, beef, chicken) and they are always friendly, quick, and they do NOT mess around on quantity and quality! It is always neat and clean, which is hard to find in New Castle, and fast, efficient and kind staff, makes this my go-to place for date night or family night out. Good food. Horrible customer service. Manager is a disgrace. If you eat at Chile Poblano, you might want to think twice about using a credit/debit card. My husband and I ate there Friday night, and my card was charged twice for our meal. No one there knew how to work the credit card machine, and I was told to come back between 9 and 10 when the manager would be in. I came back armed with my bank statement and phone alerts showing the charges. The manager pointed to his receipt from his credit card machine and denied the charge. He made it seem like I had went home and fraudulently drawn up a bank statement to try and rip him off $25. I showed him the phone alerts I had received that showed two withdraws, time-stamped, from my bank. Then he proceeded to talk to his employee in Spanish regarding the incident, and she fumbled about trying to explain the situation to me. Funny how he had no problem speaking English until it came time to actually discuss the incident. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. She said this happens all the time. People are constantly bringing their bank statements in, indicating the double charge for their meal. She said I should wait a few days because the money usually returns to the customer's account. When I asked why there was not a sign warning customers about this, she didn't have an answer. She just continued to repeat that I should wait a few days to see if the money returns. I have a better idea: How about you wait a few days and I will return to pay for my meal. Its not very reassuring, is it Chile Poblano? I called my bank and was told the lady that swiped my card authorized it twice and created a double hold for the $25. Obviously there is an error with Chile Poblano's machine and they need to fix it. Placing customers' money in limbo for a few days is not a good business practice. I will not be eating there again, which is a shame. I love their food, but not enough to pay twice. And after the laissez faire attitude displayed by the manager towards my loss of funds, I will definitely be warning others to stay away! read more

We stopped here for a quick bite while on a road trip to Ohio. The food was great! I was pleasantly surprised by the menu, which had extensive options. I had tacos and my husband had a burrito. Good food but service was extremely slow they didn't have clean dishes and when we even asked for silverware they started giving us plastic ware that didn't even work on for our food cause they couldn't clean any of the actual silverware they didn't seem very organized and when we were served we were hardly ever checked on we could barely get refills on our drinks read more

I have been going there from the beginning and the place has gone way down hill! My family and I have been over charged numerous occasions. They will over charge you if you do not pay attention to the bill. The last time I brought it to the attention of the owner, she pretended not to understand me. They had a special on draft beer, but it was not honored. They charged us $3.99 for a side of jalapenos! There is no price on the menu for a side order of jalapenos. I grew up in Texas and jalapenos are considered a condiment at Mexican restaurants there. read more
