    sauce party

I got an enchilada plate (chili verde chicken) and it was so good (9/10). Hit the spot! Loved the rice and beans on the side. Staff was really nice and the seating inside was great. Food came out in about 10 minutes and the booths each have a variety of hot sauces to try. My coworkers both got an al pastor burrito which they said were really good. We had a lot of fun experimenting with which sauce we liked best with our meal. Really solid spot for good mexican food!

Service was super friendly and food was delicious! We ordered the shrimp ceviche and tilapia plate with devil sauce. The tortillas that came with the plate were so warm and good. We asked the man taking our order for a burrito recommendation and he said he liked a combination of shrimp, steak and fries. We got that and it was 10/10. For drinks we got a jamaica and michelada. Highly recommend!

I love this place. The food is always fresh and flavorful; it's like you are in MX. I had the aquachile and the moquette this time but everything is fantastic. The safe is always friendly and they make everything to order. If you want to customize your food they'll do that too. The music is always and it's super clean. I wish there was one next door to my house.

The shrimp burrito is amazing and so is their sauce!!! The music is not too loud with its nice and they have the soccer game on so that's convenient. Free chips and salsa is always appreciated and the shrimp cocktail is good too! I'd definitely come again which speaks a lot because I don't like to frequent places unless they match my energy. The service was normal, I think the guy might need a hearing aid because we said his food was awesome and he totally didn't hear us but that's ok he was fast and the food is great

Great service, Great food, decor is very inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant. Cocteles was awesome, Ceviche was out of bonds. Beers are ice cold.

    The uncut lime

I went there yesterday ordered a green aguachile to go and made my friend and I choke up from how spicy the sauce was and I normally can handle spice. We had to throw it away. I couldn't believe to see that the lime was not cut...I kid you not. Two limes uncut

We came in on a weekend for lunch, and the place was semi busy. The menu is pretty extensive, and you order at the counter. Service was good overall. - Shrimp ceviche (4.5/5): YUM! So fresh, this was amazing. We had to ask for more tostadas. Shrimp pieces were large. Highly recommend - Aguachiles (4/5): this is pretty spicy, but very flavorful! - Micheladas (4/5): love these as well. Their mix tastes so good! - Fried octopus (3.5/5): these were very crunchy, and needed some dip like spicy sauce, or lime, vinegar

Restaurant of the month April 2022 - our family is doing a rotation where one of us gets to choose a new restaurant to try each month. Located in an obscure plaza that I've never noticed before! It's a sit-down authentic Mexican restaurant that seems to specialize more in seafood than your usual tacos and burritos, though everything we tried was yummy so I don't think you can go wrong. I ordered the tostada ceviche, and the rest of the family got carne asada and al pastor tacos. The food itself would be 4-5 stars, and the homemade tortillas are delicious. But the overall experience, slowness, and lack of service dropped this to a three. You order at the counter, and all prices are blocked out on the menu (maybe they're in the process of updating prices), so I only knew what the prices were around because I saw the menu on Yelp. However, when you order you don't pay. You pay after you eat so you have to wait in line at the counter just to pay once you're done with your meal. Our food also took forever! It was already a late lunch for us at 1PM so I was pretty hangry as it was. Took 30+ minutes for us to get our food. Then had to flag someone down for water, for utensils, for condiments, etc. Just overall not a pleasant experience, but the food really was delicious.

    The aftermath

This place does not disappoint, a little hole in the wall with great authentic Mexican food. We came for the Mariscos and Michelada's but we also ordered a torta and taco and everything was delicious.

The mountain yam dishes, rafute (braised pork belly), Okinawan soba, and an ice-cold Orion beer served in a frosted glass are all part of what makes Habuya so memorable. It's a place to slow down, share plates, and enjoy the experience. I'm genuinely happy to see Habuya getting so much attention on social media because it's well deserved. My only hope is that as more people discover it, they also help preserve what makes it special. This is a small, family-run restaurant, so please be patient during check-in, be kind to the staff, and remember that many guests have been waiting for the opportunity to enjoy the experience as well. Come to appreciate the food, drinks, and Okinawan culture--not just to snap a few photos and leave. One thing to keep in mind is that if you don't drink alcohol or follow a vegan diet, the menu may feel a bit more limited. But if you're open to experiencing authentic Okinawan cuisine, Habuya is truly one of Orange County's hidden gems.

The servers are also super friendly and attentive, which definitely helps make the experience better. Just know that this restaurant is BUSY. Do not come expecting a quiet, slow-paced meal. The food comes out quickly, the place is loud because it's packed, and you can definitely feel the hustle and rush. But honestly? I keep craving the food here, so I brave the crowds and come back anyway. It's THAT good. One thing to note: definitely ask the servers about the menu, but don't feel like you have to order everything they recommend. Our server raved about the coconut prawns, which were $60, and unfortunately, they were not worth it for me. Long wait, loud atmosphere, questionable $60 prawns... but I'd still come back for the seafood.

Papa Fish, the owner of the Crab Cooker, knew me from my days as an employee. He was a very special man to work for. Unfortunately, he is not around to see how times have changed and this place is slowly losing its customers. The product is still the same. The fish is cooked just the way Papa Fish wanted it to be cooked. However, times and demographics have changed. This restaurant is not attractive to younger folks for some reason and it is very sad to me. The question is can The Crab Cooker adapt to the changes in society? I'm thinking of Bear Flag in Newport Beach? Fresh fish served every day and the place is packed from the time they open to when then close? What are they doing differently? The Crab Cooker in Tustin is still great fish cooked the correct way. It is still my favorite seafood place to go. I hope things get better for this place and the customers keep coming.

It's been a while but returning for my third visit with friends. You can smell the aroma of seafood coming from the restaurant about 6 cars away in the general area (e.g., or if you're waiting outside on the bench). Upon entering, you'll find yourself in a "seafood market" aka a display of a variety of raw seafood options and cold precooked soups. There's also a small corner selling some merchandise by the hostess booth. The restaurant is quite big -- seatings are separated by partition front vs back half of the room. Service is decent and nice -- nothing special or standout that I can remember. I am not sure if I'm a fan eating from paper plates and plastic utensils....sort of off, especially trying to "slurp" off a shallow plastic soup made to scoop ice cream not soup. :(( I'm not sure if the prices of the entrées or not, but for a Friday at 6 PM dinner time, the restaurant is only half full. Maybe it's because there's NO FREE bread basket. We had to pay for a sourdough bread basket which was different from most places. I was a bit taken back but rolled with it, no pun (or bun) intended. We ordered scallops skewers and soft shell crab combo which comes with two sides (you chose from 6 different options). The food is delicious so don't get me wrong, but while I was seating I couldn't get over how pricey the entrees are for an average amount of food. Granted I'm not a gluttony but do want my side portions be a bit larger. :)))
