This is Tustin's best kept secret and the best fish tacos, better than Hole Mole and Baja Fish tacos. The fish is seasoned well, they are big and easy to hold, the salsas are good too. We've been to the Anaheim location several times and didn't make the connection that this Low key shop was their sister restaurant. But that's not all. The beans are also really, really delicious. I have been here quite a few times as I frequent this shopping center often. To me, the food is kind of mediocre. I will say that the best day to go is on Taco Tuesday due to the deals. They have a good variety of tacos, but they do seem to run out of items early, especially on Taco Tuesday. I personally do not believe that these are the best fish tacos in the OC. They are good, but honestly, I feel like Holy Mole's and Taco Factory is both better than here. I will say that the taco size and portion are really big, hard to finish any more than about 3 tacos at one sitting. Also, their fish tacos only come fried, no grilled ones which can be a problem for those on a fried food restricted diet or just a personal preference. The Carne Asada was ok, the Al Pastor was a bit greasy to all 4 of us that went. Chicken was dry, overcooked. Beans tasted like out of a can and not fresh. I think that it is worth going to try this place for yourself. I don't think that you will find it to be mind-blowing good, but a decent casual stop if you are in the shopping center anyway. The red salsa, provided in plastic packets, had a respectable kick. Two halves of like to squeeze until your heart is happy. The tortilla was larger than expected, tasting somewhere between corn and flour--almost burrito-like sized so clearly enjoyable. These are single handedly the best fish tacos i've had from a restaurant outside of Mexico period!!!! All the flavors are so well balanced and delicious I was so happy before and even happier after eating these! We used to live in Orange and had to go to Garden Grove whenever we felt like fish tacos. They claim to be "OC's Best Fish Taco". At first, I thought it was delicious and good, but was unsure about it being the best. However, after living in Orange County for a while now and trying A LOT of taco places, I believe that "OC's Best Fish Taco" is an accurate statement. Came here for dinner today. This isn't our first time here . We have been coming here for a while every so often. Today we were in the mood for fish tacos and they have some pretty darn good ones. I ordered the two fish taco combo with rice and beans and my son ordered the two sopes de carne asada combo with rice and beans and my husband ordered two shrimp tacos. My husband loved his tacos and my son enjoyed his sopes also. They have some pretty good salsa for their tacos. They also have some pretty good pickled carrots! Service here is always great ! The guys that helped us today were pretty friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nice and clean also. If you're in the mood for some good and legit Mexican food I would recommend this place. "Oh no! What could improve?" -Yelp Everything could improve. My husband and I had lunch here yesterday, we were both really looking forward to it because we love Baja fish tacos. Needless to say it was a huge let down. The fish was bland, overly battered, and soggy. The "fish sauce" tasted like straight mayo, also bland and too overpowering. We also ordered a crunchy potato taco and my husband ordered a wet burrito. The crunchy taco was ok, also bland. It basically tasted like mashed potatoes with a lot of black pepper. The chicken in the burrito was bland and gamey. We wish they had an option for a basic red or green wet burrito instead of the mole option. Overall food was in desperate need of seasoning. Service was mediocre. It was our first time here so we were asking a few extra questions and the guy seemed to be very annoyed. There was no one in line behind us but he still seemed like he was in a rush. Ambiance is ok, a bit small but there is outside seating which is nice. After all of this, both my husband and I got really sick. Most likely food poisoning. This might be TMI but it started off with nausea, luckily neither of us threw up but then it gave us the sh*ts and horrible stomach aches. Still been dealing with it today. Hopefully it goes away by tomorrow. Super debilitating, it is now 4:40 pm as I'm writing this review, we had lunch yesterday around 1 pm and we've been in bed all day trying to sleep it off. Small taco shop that's easy to miss since it's tucked in the back corner of a plaza. First time trying fish tacos at this location and they were ok. I had the #11 combo, 2 fish tacos, rice, beans, and chips for ~$13. Feels pricey for what I got, and did not include a drink. The tacos were ok, not bad but not great. Inside there were four small tables, no self-serve salsa bar, and it's cash only unfortunately. With all the minor inconveniences combined, I would skip this place. read more
