Service immaculate, friendly, and efficient. Cost wise..., ehhhh. Food tasty with generous portions. If you stay at the hotel--you get 10% off. Got the Cabo margarita, note not sweet like in the states--just clean and quality. Resort atmosphere.
I ate so many meals here during my stay and loved it sm My bf and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet so many times even while we were super hungover and we got dinner a couple of times as well! The breakfast buffet usually consisted of beans, an assortment of fruits, yogurt, cereal, different fruit juices, and a different variety of entrees like eggs, machacas, quesadillas, toast, potatoes, chorizo & there's a chef who takes requests for fresh omelettes, crepes and waffles Dinner menu is great too. We had a course meal and also tried the chicken Alfredo, Diablo shrimp, and ribeye steak. Everything was super tasty and the drinks were fantastic as well I absolutely LOOOOVE the habanero sauce that they have. I asked for it every meal because I put it on everything Service was great! Bartenders are awesome! All the servers are super attentive and extremely kind It's always super clean and easy to get around The views and vibes were immaculate
I ate here multiple times and the experience was consistent. The food was excellent. Everything we ate here was good, and the Baja tacos were super good. Amazing views of the ocean! The service however didn't match the location and the quality of the food. VERY slow and had to go find them multiple times to get service. One time, they overcharged me and it took forever to resolve it.
Fourth time staying at Serena Del Mar. The food and drinks are still fresh and tasty and reasonable/standard pricing. Service is exceptionally friendly. Favorite Drinks are still the mango margarita or mango killer and blackberry Mojitos. I tried the Eggs Benedict this morning, and it was really good too, not too heavy, with some baby potatoes and roasted peppers and fresh mixed green salad on the side!, Can't beat the setting, overlooking the beautiful cliffs, palm trees and ocean.
Service is outstanding. Prices are very high but... it's a resort so that's what you expect, I suppose. We enjoyed their pastas, pizzas, salads, desserts and the guacamole and salsa. My husband really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and said that was his favorite meal of the trip. Try the chilaquiles! If you order the doughnuts, just know that you're in for three very large donuts--plenty for all the kids (and adults) to share! :-)
We eat here for most dinners when we stay at this resort. Service is always excellent and the servers remember our drink choices whenever we return. The view is amazing and can't be beat. The food is too notch. We have never had a bad meal here. We made several early trips this visit for a late lunchtime, early dinner. The lunch menu has some really good food options at a great price. Only complaint is the drink prices are extremely high. Definitely worth eating here if you're staying at the resort.
Quick Summary The main restaurant in the pool area of the Hyatt Vacation Club Sirena Del Mar. The food was surprisingly very good and the service was outstanding. Very comfortable seating whether it's inside or outside. A great spot for a meal when you don't want to leave the resort Food- 5 stars shrimp ceviche- this was very fresh and delicious. Great flvaor fish tacos- one of the best fish tacos I've ever had. The batter was perfect and the fish tasted very fresh. shrimp tacos- one of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had, too. Perfectly seasoned and grilled Service- 5 stars The service was great, like most of Cabo. Very attentative without being overbearing Ambiance- 5 stars The indoor ambiance was nice and it was great to soak up the AC. The outdoor tables were nice as well with the view of the pools and Sea of Cortez Bottom Line Great food and service. A great option when you want to stay within the Sirena Del Mar resort

We came back for dinner 2x. Service was great both times. It's a nice experience to eat outdoors with a beautiful sea view and then the night starry sky after sunset. One was during the carnival de Noche: which they serve a 3 course meal. Tortilla soup: 5 stars great flavors. Salad: got a bite from hubby. Great vinaigrette. Main course surf and turf: grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp. Shrimp is 5 stars - great charred/ flavors. Chicken -4 stars a little on the dry side. Steak: nicely cooked with some seasoning. Fish: ok. It's tilapia so the meat kinda fell apart in texture. But there was no veggies or side dish. (See pic) Only get this if you only like protein. Desert: chocolate cake with a mousse - 2.5 stars. Second night we went for the grilled buffet. Same proteins as the other night without the fish. (shrimp was still my fav). They had grilled cactus (slightly slimy with a little tartness - may need to be grilled more). Overly charred corn in a sauce - decent. Some roasted veggies : Yay! Veggies. However pieces were a little large and may need to be cooked a little more (mainly the carrots). Pesto pasta salad: meh, potato salad: meh. Dessert was a strawberry mousse or tres leche cake: which I thought was ok 2.5 stars. Grill night (Thursday) was a much better option than Tuesday 3 course meal. Best part was each night had different entertainment one was the carnival dancing the other one a guitarist who I thought was pretty good.
Food was what you could expect at a resort. But that said it was good. Nothing over the top, but it was filling and has good flavors. No complaints here
Spent a week in Cabo on a Girls Trip, Sunday May 22 - Friday, May 27, it was Fantastic. With the exception of cooking once or twice in our room, we eat our meals here daily. Delicious!! Customer Service is the Very Best! The Entertainment was as good as the food!
Not bad for a resort restaurant! I was actually surprised that they had a decent amount of food choices. I had the shrimp tacos, which for being in Mexico... it was a disappointment. However, my mom had the beef nachos and those were delicious! The house made tortillas chips were the real winner. The meat serving was generous and the dish easily could serve two people. The guacamole was generic with no actual flavor... Overall I ate there once, and didn't need to go back. The two dishes cost $40 total.

The only sit-down restaurant at the Hyatt Vacation Club at Sirena del Mar, Estrella serves all three meals of the day, each with a slightly different menu. Prices are comparable to other hotel restaurants, and the service and food quality was OK. We had spent the afternoon at the nearby beach until sunset, so ended up eating dinner a bit later than we got used to during our trip. Estrella has a large dining space, both inside and out. It was a bit humid to enjoy the outside, so chose to sit inside. There weren't many customers, so got identified quickly and seated. It was night, so the only views were of the lighted courtyard. Service was prompt throughout. The mango frozen margarita (MX$360) looked interesting so got one of those, along with a 1 L bottle of Fiji water (MX$170). I know I need to get used to paying for water for dine-in in Mexico, but only having Fiji available in the restaurant seems manipulative. The margarita was excellent. Our server recommended to us to get the special of the night: a three course meal with main entree of a trio of chicken, shrimp, and bacon-wrapped filet medallion (MX$741). I wanted to try seafood, so got the Tuna tower (MX$380). The first course (a really good spinach salad) and the tuna tower came out first. The tower was tasty...the chef had done a really good job of chopping all the ingredients into equal diced pieces; the fresh and delicious avocado put it over the top. The tuna quality was what it is...not great but didn't really mind. The main entree came a bit later, and my wife enjoyed it (we were both really hungry)... I got to sample some pieces. The shrimp was the best part, small size but perfectly grilled with just the right amount of salt to bring out the great shrimp flavor. The chicken was overcooked, resulting it being dry and a bit chewy. The beef was not great: it wasn't filet mignon, but another part of the loin. The bacon was an afterthought and didn't really impart any flavor, with the wooden toothpicks (to hold the bacon in place) still imbedded in the steak, which is just a mistake...a really good steak knife will cut right through it, and then you are eating wooden toothpick pieces imbedded in random steak bites. But the portions were good to be a filling meal, with a good mashed potato as base. We also got a thick chocolate mousse for dessert, which we enjoyed. Guests of the resort get a 'discount' card...ours was 10% off of food (not including alcohol) at resort restaurants. When I let our waiter know before our dessert came, our waiter strongly told me that 'specials' are not part of that, like I should have known that already. When the bill came, he pointedly showed me that he had correctly applied the discount to only tuna tower and water. He was right, but his attitude was wrong. We charged it to our room, gave a minimal tip, and left. read more
Estrella is the onsite restaurant at Sirena del Mar and we enjoyed a variety of meals here from breakfast to dinner and even room service. The space is gorgeous and features inside and outside seating for all meals. The servers are friendly and accommodating from seating to exit. Whether it be lunch or room service, we enjoyed our meals which consisted of pizzas, pastas, quesadillas and appetizers, chips and guacamole. Overall. Estrella is a solid on site restaurant that we enjoyed many times during your stay! read more

My husband and I dined here almost daily for breakfast and their food is soo good. Definitely order the french toast, it is divine, but worth sharing as they do serve you a large amount of food. Highly recommend eating here when staying at Welk Resorts. read more

Beautiful scenery, and delicious food and drinks. We started off with Jamaica margaritas, very tasty I highly recommend and were able to get a bogo. Everyone's dish was excellent. I had the sea bass with risotto, the chipotle chicken with risotto was delicious as well. Pizza is very tasty. The pizzas are all unique. We also had the steak pizza with a spicy sauce, maybe a taco sauce. If you're decking to do the all inclusive with the food, it's probably worth it if you're staying at the resort for most of the day. read more

Chef Omar, Fernando, Christian, Charlie and the rest of the well versed team are a golden attribute to the Estrella Restaurant experience. A delightful meal with great flavors, pallets and fusion techniques will take you back to your best childhood memory in mom's or grandmother's kitchen that will bring you back for more. The service is truly second to none where the staff, top to bottom care only about your dreams and wishes. Didn't expect the food here to be better than the $$$ restaurant we have booked!! Food was cooked and seasoned to perfection! So glad to be staying at Welk Resorts Sirena Del Mar and be able to just dine-in after a few hours in the pool. read more

Ok, we are back and the food tonight was fantastic! Omar was the chef and he hit it out of the park tonight! My wife had the Sea Bass with creamy risotto & mushrooms & asparagus. I had the Seafood Enchiladas and it was the best! We are here for 13 days so will will try everything! Well worth the money! The live music was also fantastic! The guy is a pro! read more

Have to give a great review to this place; stopped here on the last bit of our honeymoon. Glad we did. Absolutely beautiful spot, open air seating overlooking the Sea. As the sunset, an excellent guitarist played. The service (Jésùs our waiter) was superb- efficient, professional, friendly, and generous. A real standout restaurant.The manager also is top notch and visits the tables. Go ahead and confidently enjoy a great meal here, with standout service. Cheers! read more

Stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed eating at Estrella. Cadillac margaritas were on point. The trea leche was to die for. Food was good but not great but the staff puts the rating to 5 stars. Everyone treats you as if you are part of the family. Charlie, the manager always greeted us with a warm smile and accommodated any requests we had. And since we were traveling with a 9 month old, we had quite a few. Our servers were all excellent. During our dinners, Jorge took care of our every need. And for our days by the pool, Rufino was the man. Thank you Estrella Restaurante for making our family vacation memorable. read more

Came here right after tropical storm Lidia, very impressed with the proactive personnel, everyone was great, ready to provide best service despite de circumstances. Margaritas on the rock are a good welcome! The sous chef came out to say hello and Pavel, our waiter for 2 days, was fantastic!! read more
