Nothing fancy or special but a spot that I always come back to, especially from certain dishes. There migas are awesome. The plate is large with migas filled with deep fried tortilla pieces refried beans corn or flour tortillas. Or sub for toast and hash browns or home fries. I always get the hash browns because the home fries are cooked enough to suit me. I love their chips and salsa. The chips aren't micro thin or stale and the salsa is mild enough for heat sensitive people like myself, and it has avocado diced in! I like the question here better than any other place in the town it's the thin one that tastes homemade and not like thick goopey can nacho cheese. I had friends in town this weekend and we all went to eat and I was absolutely embarrassed with the service, it was TERRIBLE. 3 out of 8 orders were wrong and 2 drinks wrong. Second time for a meal at this location. Wife and I were pleasantly surprised on the first try here. Comfortable atmosphere and courteous waitstaff. Breakfast tacos we're excellent! Soft homemade tortillas we're loaded with fillings. Salsa was just spicy enough to compliment the potatoes and eggs, and chorizo and beans. Very reasonable prices. Four tacos and two coffees for $11. I have eaten at this place many times. Even as far back as when they had the little place by the post office. Since they moved i have noticed that in some ways they have had issues with the quality of the rice in particular as well as the service when they are busy. But who doesnt when a restaurant is packed! Having said all that! The rest of the food i have tried is really good and very affordable. The flour tortillas are some of the best i have had in the area as well as the fajita burrito! The food was great overall! We went on a busy Friday night and service was lacking. Next time we would go for breakfast or when it is not so busy. I have worked in restaurants and understand busy nights, but we waited 10-15 minutes before we saw our waitress after being seated. We came here for breakfast around noon. Our first time here. There was a bit of a wait but not too bad. I ordered the breakfast tacos and they we're decent. Husband ordered the breakfast plate. He said he really enjoyed his food. Salsa was good. Sweet tea was very good. Service was consistent and waitress was friendly. The lunch plates coming out looked amazing! When we were eating our food the waitstaff was sweeping and mopping the floor right next to our table...all we could smell was the cleaning fluid from the mop water :(( Please tell your waitstaff to do the cleaning when your restaurant is empty!!! Food is decent but service is terrible. You can never get a refill, more chips, etc. Waitresses are snooty and don't care if you complain. I've found hair in my food more than once. Changes have never been made in all the years I've been eating here. I only eat here now when I have to. Last resort for sure. read more

Considering all the options that I have where I live, I wanted to try and support a small business during these unprecedented times that we're all experiencing. As someone who loves a good taco and this was a new place, I went with the Chicken and Beef Fajita tacos. They were fantastic! I also ordered a Supreme Burrito Dinner Plate with beef fajita meat for later. Not only was it amazing, the portion size was HUGE. Prices were super reasonable and the service was excellent considering they're working under unusual conditions. Props to Oscar for his curbside delivery skills! I love​ this place, I go there for breakfast at least once a week, the staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is always good, I have not been disappointed in all the years I go there. I would recommend this place. Yes sometimes you have to wait 30-45 seconds to be seated, but I really don't​ see how that would bring the rating down. read more

We had a party of 14 so I know that can be a ittle overwhelming, but there was nothing good about the whole experience. They sat us under the A/C vent and we repeatedly asked them to turn it up as it was freezing! No response. One guy in our party did not get his food until he asked for it, twice! One of us had to go and find silverware while our food quickly got cold under the A/C. I had the green chili chicken enchiladas which would probably have been ok warm, but were bad freezing cold. Oh, their barbacoa burrito was pure happiness when I first tasted it. Their salsa is delicious. The chili rellenos are perfect. Enchiladas are just like what I'm use to. I haven't been disappointed yet. I haven't found this type of quality food anywhere in Taylor, or the surrounding area- except for a taco stand on Lamar. This is a great little small town spot. It is cheap, fast, and friendly. I eat there a few times a week. Small mexican joint in a converted gas station. Yummy barbacoa, lingua, and tacos pastor. Melissa is cute and a great waitress. Nancy is the owners daughter and is there alot. Have a mexican coke that is made with sugar cane instead of the normal corn syrup. This place came highly praised by my mother and father in law. So my wife and I decided we have to try it. Made the trip to Taylor and now I know I only need to go to Taylor for bbq or Taylor meat market for sausage. I got the beef fajitas, they had no flavor and very tough almost rubber. The salsa was bland, maybe it was made in New York City. Queso needs something added to it besides just being melted cheese. The bright side is if the in-laws are wanting Mexican food and this place then I don't have to join. read more

El Corral Lozano is a great place to have good food at affordable prices. Two of us can eat there for around $10 if we have something like tacos, or we can spend around $25 if we get dinner plates. The Tortilla Soup is the best I've had in town. My favorite plate is the Chipotle Chicken Breast. I think it's pounded, pan fried, and covered in a cheesy chipotle sauce. Other family favorites are any of the tacos, Torta Cubana (a heart attack on a plate but a meat lovers dream), chicken fajita burrito, nachos, cheese enchiladas, well, really haven't been disappointed in anything. If you like spicier salsa, ask for the green sauce. Mmm. We usually have friendly fast service. There have been a couple times when service was a little slow but I give them a pass for that because it's not usual and I figure there must have been an issue somewhere.
