Delicious as always!! We don't get out to El Coyote very often any more because it's far from us. But it is so worth the drive!! All of our meals were perfect. Service was great! And I had the best margarita ever! Yum!!

This is the most overpriced sham of a restaurant. Food is bad and comes out cold. Clearly nobody here worries about food quality; it's an insult to mexican cuisine. See a picture of a bad $25 quesadilla.

Did not enjoy the food. Steak was chewy and tasteless. Not many low calorie fresh food choices. Grilled vegetables have butter on them. Overpriced Mexican dive. Avoid.

Service was great but the food is like what I'd expect in a nursing home. Bland, soft, and definitely not worth trying.

We stopped by after a visit to the Newtown Candy shop. We took some lobster roll kits and clam chowder home. They pride themselves on fresh seafood regularly flown in from around the world. Their pricing is double Jungle Jims and triple kroger. Can't say good or bad until we try the fresh fish. For example they have many types of Salmon from around the globe. $49.99 for Sea Bass is pricey for me. I think Halibut was $39.99 a pound and the salmon was $20-$30 a pound. They also make their own sides. The clam chowder had too many potatoes. On Friday and Saturday nights they cook a few meals out back in a small tent/room. Main items are Lobster Rolls and Fish n chips.

From fresh fish to chowder, crab cakes, Lobster rolls, sauces, pies, and much more, this is a place you have to visit! Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The food was still very good--our fajitas were flavorful and enjoyable--but the service really took away from the experience. While we did eventually get what we asked for, it took quite a while for simple things like extra tortillas, and overall the service felt slow and inattentive. The atmosphere also felt a bit tense, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. What stood out the most was the lack of basic interaction. My husband made a point to say "thank you, sir" when our food was brought out and even said "have a nice day" as we were leaving, but there was no response either time. At the end of the meal, what appeared to be a manager dropped the check on our table without saying a word and walked away, which felt abrupt and unwelcoming. It was disappointing, especially given how much we enjoyed our previous visit, but based on this experience we don't plan to return.

We came from Marion Indiana and this place was chosen for a celebration dinner when my son graduated. I wish they would have chosen McDonalds! We found out the best waiters were US, My wife got a baked potato that must have been baked in a easy bake oven kids toy that uses a light bulb because half of it was raw and it certainly was NOT a hot potato. She asked for broccoli instead since we did not want to wait for another hour for another potato. The broccoli was not eatable as it some unknown seasoning on it that we both spat out. My fish was overcooked as were the fries but again we did not want to wait for another hour for something else. I also ordered sweet tea and got two glasses of unsweetened tea, I usually get about four glasses of tea when I eat out due to problems swollowing. I was asked if I was paying on the app and should have said no use downloading it as we will never be back. Again, McDonalds would have had better food and much better service and oh, I do not like McDonalds!

For appetizers, we got the whipped feta. Delicious, creamy, and perfect for sharing -- but fair warning: avoid the peppers if you're not into a little kick. They sneak up on you! My friend and I split the house salad and WOW. A complete showstopper. So fresh, the vinaigrette was bright and delightful, and those fresh bacon bits? Chef's kiss. It's rare that a house salad stands out like that, but this one absolutely did. Now let's talk about the prime rib. I typically do not like steak or prime rib... but our waitress recommended it as the best thing on the menu, and honestly the Yelp photos had already convinced me. When I tell you it was BOMB -- I mean it. So tender. So flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Paired with broccolini and mashed potatoes, it was a whole experience. To end the night, we shared the apple tart with cinnamon ice cream -- warm, sweet, comforting, and the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Great service, incredible food, and such a vibe. I cannot wait to come back.

I got the lavender lemonade mocktail which was delicious and refreshing without being too floral or soapy. For dinner I got the braised short rib which was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The bone marrow demi glaze I could have a bowl of that stuff is phenomenal. The broccolini was roasted perfectly but I felt the potatoes could've used more seasoning. My mother got the lemon chicken pasta, which was good at the time, but when she got home it did not sit well with her. All in all, I would come back for the short rib, and I hope Alara finds a new location soon. The inside is nice and romantic seating, but it is cold ... like bring a jacket and it seems it doesn't matter the season it is colder inside because I saw a google review that also mentioned the temperature of the dining room.

The addition of Chef Padro has taken the food to an entirely new level. Every dish we've tried has been beautifully prepared, thoughtfully seasoned, and full of flavor without losing the comfort and warmth that made us love this restaurant in the first place. One thing I appreciate most is that Chef Padro truly cares about his guests. He welcomes honest feedback and is clearly passionate about continually improving the dining experience. That kind of dedication is becoming harder and harder to find, and it shows in every meal. A special shout-out also goes to Pam behind the bar. She is simply the best! She remembers her customers, makes everyone feel welcome, and crafts some of the best cocktails around. Between Pam's hospitality and Chef Padro's incredible food, every visit feels like a night out with friends. I know change isn't always easy, especially for longtime customers, but I would encourage everyone to come with an open mind and give the new menu a chance. The quality, creativity, and attention to detail are exceptional, and our experience has only gotten better with every visit. We're also excited to see the beautiful expansion of the outdoor dining area. It's obvious the owners are investing in making this restaurant an even better place to gather with family and friends. If you're looking for outstanding food, genuine hospitality, and a locally owned restaurant that is working hard to create something special, do yourself a favor and visit.
