Came here for my friends birthday! Had a dinner and danced all night long. Some plates are small and other large it was ok food not something to go crazy over honestly, cocktails are ok nothing strong, place is small very overly crowded should be a limit so people can actually enjoy. Back area is a club with a bar that takes up most of the space, me and my friend had to hold hands through the crowd so we can stack together, I mean like body pushing up on body crowded, the only thing I could do was move my body in a one two one two step motion lol music is good I'll give them that much, if your looking into the club part I would say make sure to get a table inside of there so you have your own space but even so they looked super small and people overflowing inside their space. I love this place and the only reason I give it 4 stars is because the only time I feel it's actually worth it to go is on Tuesdays! They're Taco Tuesday sales are so worth everything you get, drinks are half off and the tacos are three for the price of two! You can't beat that! I went with some co-workers and we had the time of our lives. We went last week and with everything going on they were very good with cleaning and keeping distances and handling our foods with gloves as well as masks. We had the best time! We got there around 5 and didn't leave till 8:30 closer to 9! We were eating and listening to the bomb playlist they had going on through the whole night! It's also in Calle Ocho so the vibes that are in that area were the best and you felt the true presence of Calle Ocho and it's a great place for those who haven't experienced it. I would definitely go back to this place - most likely on a Tuesday - and have the best time again! The drinks were great the food (and as you can see there were a lot of it) were amazing! I'm a die hard wrestling fan and when I saw the front facade of this place, I knew I had to go in. Came here with a group of friends mainly for drinks and head to the next bar. The vibe here was great, I loved all the masks inside from various famous luchadors. The only thing that'll make this place better is if they Aired Lucha Underground or AAA. Good afternoon, I just wanted to let you know that the service I experienced today 05052021 on or about 1700 pm was horrible. 1. The server (best described as a short transgender female w/bad nose job) stopped taking my order to have a conversation with a drunk customer while I was trying to order. 2. My spouse went to ask for our frozen drinks since we had been waiting for about 15min and the waitress was busy counting her tips. (She had no idea what he was taking about) 3.The same server (1.)spilt the queso w/ chorizo on the table dripped all over my new sneakers. (no apology was offered) 4. She didn't clean up the mess she made on the table or my shoe. (she did place a napkin dispenser on the table though) 5. She did not bring a new chorizo con queso as I requested. (Yeah she definitely doesn't deserve the included gratuity) I believe you should be aware of this type of service being rendered. I am super unhappy and am requesting a refund. I went to this restaurant during the Covid curfew time in Miami, when everything closed at 12am, on a Tuesday. They had the taco Tuesday special where all tacos were $3 and margaritas were for $5. Of course this was offered during a limited time, 6-8pm or something like that. But I've recently gone back on a Tuesday to get the same offer because it was amazing before and there was no special anymore. I even asked the waitress about the taco special and she said it wasn't available anymore even though right on the menu it states that tacos are $3 to which she had no explanation on why they didn't offer it anymore. Definitely wouldn't recommend going there on a Tuesday if you're looking to get a special. But on the plus side the decor and ambiance is great. read more

If I can give them NO stars I would this usto be my favorite spot with amazing customer service NOW it's horrible waited 35 minutes for my chips and guacamole and chips & queso and they messed up my order and gave me salsa ! Customer service has to improve especially with the cashier the girl with the blonde hair she doesn't know what she's doing none of them do ! Also when I approach my cashier he didn't even acknowledge me and none of them knew where my order was at !!!! Like everyone talks about, my favorite thing about El Santo was definitely the decor. It is kitschy and cool. We only stopped here during the day one weekend to eat a few tacos and walk around Calle Ocho. Chips and salsa were really really good. I really enjoyed the salsa especially. The chips tasted fresh and salty. Just how I like them. I also ordered the tacos al pastor ($8 for two tacos) and I was surprised how much I enjoyed them. Next time I'd like to try a cocktail. Being from California, and eating Mex food twice a week I feel comfortable giving this place one star. *CHICKEN BURRITO: Served unwrapped, cut in half and sprinkled with cotija cheese. Chicken was blend no taste, and everything inside the burrito was mushy, all I can taste was the strong flavor of the cotija cheese. *TACOS AL PASTOR: Nice presentation, pork was blend, and flavors were off. They also put pineapple which ruined everything even more. All I can taste was a sweet tortilla with salad. *FISH TACO: No pineapple this time but also no flavor, very blend. *DRINKS: Jarritos good. *CHIPS & GUAC: Decent. *SERVICE: 22 minutes to get our food, staff not too friendly even if you speak Spanish which I do. read more

My first visit at El Santo - everything amazing except MANAGER - I order 2 margaritas on the rocks; frozen is $8, so I ask how much is on the rocks - a girl says $10. With tip and tax it came out to 12.50. On the third one they charge $17.50 and the girls explains she charged me the wrong price. I totally get that, so I just ask for refund for the third - I did not accept the drink. Manager comes out and is mad I don't accept the third drink saying "technically you owe us money" F*CK YOU you retard. Fell in love with the place, posted photos n videos all over Instagram, just so I can have some schmuck ruin my experience at the end of dinner when I was trying to get one final drink. I sat at the bar with a menu in my hand and waited, waited, and waited. I waved at the waitress who clearly locked eyes with me.....she never came. I locked eyes with another guy behind the bar and mouthed "can I order" he turned away and spoke to someone else next to me to give them their check. Absolutely terrible service. Loved the decorations on the wall as soon as I walked in! It was very open but also very small which was cool to me for some reason. The menu is quite small and not many options to choose from but I settled for some chips and guac and chicken tacos and my boyfriend ordered the al pastor tacos. Both flavors were delicious, and the guac was my favorite! A friend of mine ordered the queso dip and it was honestly to die for, I wanted to eat the entire thing lol. As a taco enthusiast, I am truly disappointed to write this review. I usually am one to think: "How can you possibly mess up tacos?" but this time, unfortunately, El Santo succeeded. First of all, the server at the counter was not very helpful and missed half of our order each time we asked for something. He was not very helpful and lacked any enthusiasm to share information about popular dishes. The 2 stars is a result of a very strong Don Julio Margarita otherwise it would be 1 star. The tacos themselves were extremely disappointing. We ordered El Pastor, Chicken, and Carne Asada. They were overly greasy/saucy and the tortillas fell apart instantly. We also ordered queso fundido which tasted like melted Kraft cheese with greasy meat in the center. Certainly not returning any time soon. read more

The salsas didn't have much flavor either. Food: it's okay. I was supposed to order some tacos to go for my grandma back home but since the service was complete crap, I took the rest of my business elsewhere. I have been hearing about this place for a while from friends, decided to go check it out last night and was not disappointed! Great music all night and drinks were pretty good. Their cocktails are quite interesting so order if you're open to unique drinks! Get there early if you don't want to have to wait in line. We got there around 10:15 and a line formed immediately after. Lots of similarities to Los Altos as they are owned by the same people. Can't get enough of this place. I've ordered it for delivery a few time times and it never disappoints. I really can't pick a favorite dish item because everything I've tried is insanely good. The guacamole is always fresh, the tacos are flavorful. Portions are pretty good. Like 2 tacos and a side can leave you pretty satisfied. Ingredients feel fresh and high quality.
