Fantastic experience and amazing food. Fajitas are the best!!! I also recommend the top shelf margaritas they put special touches to it.

This was my second visit, and I returned to support them because my first experience with my waitress was pleasant. However, this time turned into a nightmare! When I first arrived at the nearly empty restaurant (only 2 other tables occupied), I went to wash my hands. After stepping out of the restroom, a man who appeared to be the manager ran after me, aggressively yelling because I hadn't turned off the light, screaming about a tiny note near the switch that I hadn't seen. (This was the first sign I should've left. I didn't listen.) Not thinking much about it, I turned it off and went to sit down. I confirmed my starting order with the waitress and kept the menu just in case I wanted to order something else. Got chips and salsa (these are paid, not free) and the drink immediately - the tacos came about 5 minutes later. The waitress said she would be back to see if I wanted anything else. 15 minutes went by. Then 20. No waitress. I was still eating, so I wasn't ready for more food, but my drink was gone. The salsa was spicy, so I slowed down a little on eating until I could get another drink. She's bound to show up soon rt?.. wrong! 10 more mins go by. The busboy reappears to clear the tables of the 2 parties that left. I'm the only one in the restaurant now, but somehow, he avoids eye contact. Finally got his attention and his response is not welcoming. Instead he says, "Did you want something?" I asked for another drink. He brought it. I asked for a container for leftovers and a to-go order of 4 more tacos. (I figured eating from home would be better then being ignored) He said ok and walked away. I looked at the drink to take a sip, and there was a gnat floating in it. 15+ minutes he came back without the tacos or containers, I was over it. I showed him the gnat (he was irritated like I put it there), told him just take it back, cancel the tacos, bring the check and a container cause I was ready to go. He brought back a single strip of foil. When I asked for a styrofoam container, he got the manager who snapped that my order wasn't big enough, and to stop being cheap if I wanted a container. So I guess a total bill of about $35 was being cheap.. ok. He then began to overtalk me (telling me to shut up and listen to him) and point out different items on the table... like a bowl of cilantro that the waitress brought me on the side because I didn't want it on the tacos, and then say you people are always wasting food. That's why I don't want you here you cost me money. Who is you people?!? Okay now I see what this is!!! At this point I'm just looking for the check because I felt my blood boiling!! ... but still couldn't get it. Instead of processing my card at the table like my first visit, the "manager" yelled aggressively, "Why are you still sitting there? Are you stupid? - and told me to get up and get the check. I was given a bill with inflated prices, turning .50 cent extra cheese to $1 for each taco... And other random items that totaled $11 over my order When I contested the total and tried to confirm the math with the busboy, who is now the cashier, he became angry and belligerent. He started cursing me, calling me a "bitch" and insulting me, even though his math was calculated wrong. When I was triggered enough the back and forth began!! I got loud about being targeted as a woman alone (he wouldn't be talking to me like that if I had a man with me), the manager pulled out his phone, acting like he was recording me while telling his busboy "let's go viral." He continued to falsely claim I wanted free stuff, telling the busboy to call the police because I refused to pay the inaccurate charges. After the police arrived, The manager openly told the police, "I don't need her business... your kind is not welcome here," and demanded I be trespassed. I was so disgusted, the whole thing ruined my appetite. I have never experienced such dangerous, abusive, and discriminatory behavior. After going through his reviews, it's clear that it's not only Black people that have experienced his ugliness but this incident felt racially charged It made me question the whole business, so even after I paid, I left all the food on the table. I didn't even trust it. To management: I tried to patronize your business and not judge on the fact that only 2 tables were occupied at 2p on a Saturday (that should've told me something). The way you treat the people who help keep your doors open, (even if they only spend $5) says a lot about you! You want to ban black people and be racially bias... don't worry... I'll help you go viral! To potential customers: DO NOT let the empty tables fool you; this restaurant IS NOT a diamond in the rough, it's a hostile environment with a nasty owner who is unhappy. He clearly doesn't understand that his behavior has a lot to do with why those tables sit empty! Save your money, and go literally anywhere else!! read more

Usually Birria tacos only get their flavor from the consommé. Everything about the tacos was tasty. My son was very impressed with his fajita sandwich. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly. Wow...ok...after years of being let down by Mexican restaurants in the Douglasville area, we have finally found a place that makes us say, "let's go back". I always say the same thing when I review Mexican restaurants...blah blah blah...years of experience...blah blah blah...I've traveled all over Mexico. I get your DM's...ok. I get it. Some of you don't believe me. So again...for my followers (mi gente...la gente que sabe de verdad) I am not kidding you...this place rocks. ¡Comida hecha en casa! From the caldos to the tacos to the tortas (with specially made torta bread from a local baker btw)...everything ok this menu was legit. I even asked if they would make me a torta de birria since birria tacos were new to the menu. They said they hadn't done it before but would try...it was amazing. The owner makes salsas every day and put out a salsa bar for those who like mild medium and hot salsas. The prices are legit also. Figure $15/pp for lunch and $25/pp for dinner. Not bad. This place is not even worth a 1-star review. From the moment we walked in, the cleanliness was a major concern. The restaurant was extremely dirty, and the overall atmosphere made it uncomfortable to even want to stay. The staff interaction only added to the experience. Food and drinks were plopped down on the table with little care, and asking simple questions felt like an inconvenience. It almost felt like they were mad that we walked in. I have honestly never experienced a restaurant where I wanted to leave within minutes of arriving, but I believe in giving places a chance to redeem themselves. Also, I checked the reviews before we arrived and there are some people who have had a good experience so I thought we would stick it out. Unfortunately, everything from the beginning until the very end was a disappointing experience. The lack of cleanliness, service, food, and overall hospitality was unacceptable. We were traveling along I-20 and decided to stop for Mexican Food. Sadly we picked this terrible place. From the moment we walked in the guy was very rude. First there was draft beer, then there wasn't, asking for a cold glass for the luke warm beer was like asking for the keys to his house. He yelled at my daughter for not turning the light off in the bathroom. The food was ok and we hurriedly ate so we could leave. They plop chips and salsa in front of you on arrival, then they charge you for it even though you didn't ask for it. The place in not clean and looked in bad shape at the end of a shopping strip. I went here with my pregnant sister and we had a horrible experience I don't recommend going there. I had a chicken taco and margarita the chicken was so disgusting to the point it made my head hurt I couldn't even take a full bite before spitting it out . The drink was so salt to the point I couldn't drink it he forced us to pay and cussed use out . My family and I decided to try a new (to us) Mexican restaurant. This restaurant is tucked off in a corner of a shopping center. They do have outdoor seating. (Which i originally wanted but wasn't offered, so idk if it was closed, but granted, I didn't ask either) When you first walk in, it's kind of like any "low medium" Mexican Restaurants; small bar, limited drinks. They have a very big menu. The amount of time for a server to come to our table and we get our food was about a hr total. We decided to order Caserola Grill for two and the kids' shrimp rice covered for our daughter. For our drinks, my husband ordered an 18k margarita, and I ordered a blue margarita. Let's start with the food. Can I say the food was great! Cooked perfectly . As far as the drinks, ehhh ehhh I can say I've had better. With this review I struggled between a 3-4 star review because while the food was really good, the service was somewhat horrible. When we arrived we were greeted and seated by this someone. She then brought us some chips/salsa and took our water order. If she was solely tending to our table the review more than likely would have been a 4 or 5 star review. This guy who appeared to be the cool then approached our table to take our order. He came across very rude for several reasons. One person in our party ordered a meal that comes with black beans and the gentleman stated that they don't serve black beans anymore. When we inquired about what took the place of the black beans we where told don't worry about. When the food arrived one of the orders we asked to have no cheese on it and when it arrived there was cheese on it. When I first pulled up, I didn't even wanna get out the car. It looks sketchy. I came in looking around. It was one black couple there so thought it was straight. The chips, salsa and guacamole was cool but the pitcher margarita was a house Margarita, supposedly, but it was really vodka. As the unassuming exterior of a nearly abandoned shopping plaza presents itself, there is little emotion of excitement that one can experience. Yet, the excitement was soon to come. After tasting the first bite of the chicken fajitas, it was clear that this is the best fajitas I've ever tried. It probably beat out of a few hundred fajitas at different restaurants that I've tried in my life. Out of all places and given the location away from cities, perhaps I didn't expect it. The chicken was not over cooked, and without any sauce, was flowing with its natural juices, tender and full of flavor. How these folks manage to do that at this price point is beyond my understanding, but it did happen. The decor was pleasant, with wooden chairs and lots of booths. To be fair, I do have to mention that the salsa was definitely not to my taste, very overpowered with lime and no cilantro. Yet, it was a minor detail in an otherwise spectacular experience. The guacamole was more like tomatamole- three tomatoes and half an avocado; No jalapeños no salt very little cilantro.. It was not what you would get at a good Mexican restaurant. The margarita was horrible; It tasted like watered down tequila with the salt from the rim. I've eaten at Mexican restaurants all around Atlanta, South America and Central America; that range from amazing to alright, but my experience today WAS HORRIBLE. When the food came I noticed that my grilled steak burrito was wrong and it had a lot of old tasting refried beans as a filler. I asked the server if my order was correct; she started that she had to verify with the manager to confirm. The manager actually comes over and tries to tell that he told me not to get it. I immediately said to him that we did not have any conversation to that affect! The manager responds "No (with a grin) and says if that's what the menu says I'll pay for your meal myself." So I double check the menu and it was not included. As I begin to tell him that he was right. The ingredient are an option. This is where it should have stopped but the manager continues to say how he tried to tell me; but I "wouldn't listen". This was not the case. The manager never mentioned any specifics about the burrito except that is was small. The manager continues to run his mouth to the point were I literally asked him to leave so we could enjoy our food. The margaritas were so bad, we left it. I ate half of bean (with a little steak) burrito. The meat was tender at first; until I bit down into a huge piece of fat and cartilage. We ask the server that brought us our food for the check and she said we had to go to the counter to pay. So I went to the counter and ask for our bill; the manager types some numbers into his calculator and hands me the paper and says here is your bill. I looked at the paper and said sir may I have an itemized bill. He says, "that is all I have and if you don't like it; you can get the f*ck out." At this point I was pissed. I said I need an itemized bill so I can pay and we will leave. Again, he said "this is all that I have and if you don't like it you can get the fu*k out!' (Twice cussed @) So I walked towards my woman and told her yo get her stuff so she could leave while I stayed back to deal with disrespectful manager. So I walk her to the door and he thens walks up on me and turned to square up and he stops short with his phone in his hand saying he was calling the police. I told him that was fine because my woman was already calling the police and requesting a sergeant or lieutenant to come to the scene. We waited outside for the police to arrive. The police arrive. They ask us what happened. They spoke to each of us separately and then go inside to speak with the manager and Ross of Douglas county PD spoke to a guest who flagged him down and told Police Officer that the manager escalated the situation and he was the aggressor by using fighting words and swearing at me the customer. So, In the end, it was proven that the manager was indeed in the wrong and he had been rude and very disrespectful towards me as a customer. I did not run nor allow him to provoke me. I can't say that his was racist but I can say that he doesn't deserve to be in business in Douglas county. My wife and I are Mexican food enthusiasts for lack of a better word. We are always searching for good authentic Mexican and Tex Mex locations. We've driven past El Don many times but a few days ago we decided to go for date night. We were not disappointed! The Food: Everything was delicious...from the "choriqueso" to our actual meals. The carnitas, rice, and beans was recommended to me by the waiter. The meat was tender, flavor packed, and juicy. My wife ordered the shrimp quesadilla of which she was happy with as well. Portions were massive which is never an issue for me. The ambience: I liked the place. It was definitely casual. Tons of wooden booths and ample TV screens. I think the show choices were interesting. They have Telenovelas on one side and wrestling on the other. That's neither here nor there. The music was on point with some mariachi vibes and a splash of Celia Cruz. The service: Our waiter and waitress were extremely amicable and attentive. The waitress struggled a little with English but hey...it's a Mexican restaurant. I tried to sprinkle in un poquito de mi High School Spanish training but I'm sure I just confused her more. Lol Either way they gave us great suggestions and stellar service. This is a solid place to eat. It's located on the end of a small strip mall. Walking in they were very slow to greet us even tho it was busy, however they were very friendly. The service was still a bit slow after that as well. The food was good. They let us order off the lunch menu. I had the cheese enchilada combo and my friend had a chicken burrito combo.
