I've been coming to this car was ever since I learned to drive, 20+ years. It's always been amazing. Best in town and they earned it. Always took care of the small things, very professional and kind.... That was then!! This place has become a quick wash spot. The quality of their work is AWFUL. For people spend 50 dollars to get terrible quality work is not ok. The workers are unprofessional and like to curse in Spanish as if we don't know what they are saying. There is ZERO supervision and if there is, they also don't care. I have been coming here for years and the past 6-7 times I have regretted it. Today was my last time going to a place I have always gone to. They won't be getting another penny from me. Don't waste your time here! I took my car in for a wash, mats wax for $65. The car came out in less than 10 minutes!! I could not believe it. seats had sand on them, and dash area still dirty inside, they did not vacuum, or wash all windows. It appeared they just ran it through the car wash! Unbelievable. I had them clean it again but it was poor quality as they had a line of cars trying to get out and hurried me. What a RIP OFF.... I just cannot recommend this carwash. I brought in my SUV to be detailed inside and out. I wanted a good wash and a wax job. This takes a few hours and I went to grab a bite to eat. However when I got back my car was not finished. The attendant was using an electric buffer to remove the wax. When I saw a few swirl marks on my car I was livid with fury. I told them to re-wash the car and that the swirl marks had better be gone afterwards. They used something to get the swirl marks off and used micro fiber rags instead of the buffer while I stood there and supervised. Would I recommend this carwash absolutely not. I also want to mention that this is also not a hand wash carwash. Be careful getting your car washed at this business. My friends Lexus was damaged here during a detailing. read more

I purchased the most expensive wash offered for my 4 runner and chose the "clean windshield" option. The windshield wasn't really cleaned. The sticker residue under the mirror wasn't touched. I understand that sticker residue can be a pain, but it took me less than a minute to clear up when I got home. The tires, however, took longer the clean up than the amount of time they spent on the entire wash. I wasn't expecting much, but this is the first time I was embarrassed to drive my vehicle after a wash. The tire treatment was sprayed all over the wheels and tires and never wiped or blended. I went today to get my car washed because I've had great experiences there. When I arrived there was 2 cars being vacuumed on one side and one lady ahead of me. I waited and the clerk (Brianna) took the lady first then ignored me. Never asked me anything or came to my window to see what I wanted. Only after the lady and the other two cars were taken to wash was I acknowledged. I told her I don't appreciate being ignored and she looked at me with attitude. I left and called the manager who hasn't called me back or taken any action to correct it. I'm not looking for a free or discount wash just acknowledge her attitude and lack of work ethic. read more

Really bummed - I've been going to this car wash for years now and services continues to decline. Today was really the final straw for me. I purchased a platinum package wash this morning around 9:30am, there were only a handful of other cars at the time. Both inside and outside of my vehicle were poorly done. Part of my passenger door handle was broken and thrown in the backseat. Crumbs, dirt, smears all over - it's clear that no effort was put into actually cleaning the car. Best car wash in Monterey. Lot's of employees so always quick service. Expensive but worth it.

Today was the first time I've used this car wash and it was such a disappointment. I paid extra to have my car mats washed and paid for the $30 package. When I got into my car when it was finished, they didn't vacuum my floor, the seats weren't even wiped down and they didn't clean my dashboard. I explained this to a man outside and he told me to pull around back and they will vacuum it. I pulled around back to find a woman there saying the wash doesn't include wiping down seats and it only includes a "light vacuuming". I don't know what "light vacuuming" even means but they didn't even "light vacuum" it. So basically I paid $45 for an outside car wash, mats and tip. I will never come back here. read more

The buyer's remorse is real. Yeah I'm not coming back. I got Silver so that the dog hair in the back would at least be taken care of and the interior needed some attention. But as I look more, there are just so many parts that were overlooked. I even asked them why it couldn't be looked at again and they advised I'd have to book a detailing appointment. They blamed the material of the car... Maybe I'll try Del Rey next but they don't have good reviews either. Not surprised by their low reviews and ratings and wish I'd read them before trusting them with my car. I'd dry-docked my Corvette for a year in a closed garage and took it out today for the nice weather. Granted, even while garaged, it did pick up some dust, dirt and grime so I wanted to treat her to a good car washing. I selected their Platinum package for $35 because I wanted the best job they could do...and sadly, that is just what I got. There were more spots on it than a leopard, the windshield was dotted with sap and grime clung to the rear panels. And this was AFTER the wash. I had an appointment so didn't look closely at the job they did but noticed the Lemon scent I'd chosen was nada. I gave the car a close once over and it had cling-ons everywhere. Granted, these take some elbow grease to remove but the attendant had no trouble reaching for my generous tip so I think he could have handled the spots the machine washing missed. And now for the best part: I take it back and THEIR MANAGER tells me he can run it trough again to which I say if it didn't get it the first time why would it get in on Round 2 and I request an employee get a rag and the spray they finish the cars with and be more observant this time. "Oh, that's not part of the carwash" I'm informed by the manager. Really, getting dirt off one's car is not part of a "carwash?" And an un-satisfied customer can be blown off? Well, I've been schooled and will NEVER, EVER do business with this clown circus again. So if you decide to go there, don't say you haven't been warned. Opted for a Platinum wash after hearing about how great this place was. Car interior still dirty, even after returning a second time for a touch up. Mats were shampooed well, but it honestly just looked like they skipped the vacuum. Even after the second time when I watched them do it, there's still a lot of debris and hair. Not sure how much they touched on the outside the first time due to pending rain- at least they honor the rain-check so you can come back when the weather clears. Facility waiting room is nice, and the shop inside isn't over-priced as one would expect. Price would be worth it if there was a bit more effort and some quality control. Staff was plenty friendly, just wish the interior had been attended to better, and maybe a second check when I had come back with an issue. read more

I decided to give El Estero car wash another try. Today they did a better job than the last time. I did have to ask for extras. I also requested a vacuum extra. I ended up spending a little over $50. They do offer military discount which is nice. The manager who is here today was pleasant. I came back and I called them saying that one of my rubber mats was missing and they checked for me and I realized I only have three mats not four which is OK since none of my mats are missing I only have three. Their soap and hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. They definitely need to keep those full, especially during a pandemic. read more

I've been going to El Estero for years because it's the only "full service" car wash nearby. Often I need to inspect myself and point out where they fail to clean or dry the car properly. But I go back because they are the only one in town. Sometimes I get staff who actually does an excellent job. And sometimes, like today, they really suck. They weren't busy. I bought a "Gold" level job for my husband's SUV, which was pretty dirty. As usual, I watched the last 5-10 minutes of finish work. I pointed out that they didn't dry the roof and there was a twig stuck on the luggage rack. The fellow dried only that side. I asked about the other side. He said another attendant already did it. Make sure you check your car before driving off. You would think they would do an awesome job with the prices that they charge almost a $50 car wash after tip. Had dog hair and dropped detergent powder, specifically asked if they could take care of that for me. Drove off and noticed they didn't even vacuum what i had asked and what looked like a half ass job. I brought my car in for a much needed wash and not only were crumbs and dust left, 2 of my hubcaps were ruined and demolished, which I noticed when I got home. I quickly turned around and drove back, insisted that the manager replace my rims, or at least give me my money back , but I was greeted with "we just won't take any responsibility for this". They said the rims were old, which they were 1 year old, causing them to deteriorate with the wash. I drove home pretty angry minus any road rage and immediately ordered a new set of rims. Before this I loved this place although they never were all that thorough with the inside consoles. I have to reclean it. I will probably try del Rey wash next. Pay attention to their review status... it's not wrong. I feel ripped off. For $30 I thought they'd have done a great job, but I've paid $20 for far better washes. They left debris in the trap below the windshield wipers, my rims still had brake dust in them, they didn't clean under the hatch of my Equinox, they didn't wipe off the inside door where my boot sometimes brushes up against from time to time when I get out, and I didn't get air freshener. I was seriously surprised how fast they called my number after I left the car (about 5 minutes), definitely not longer than 10, and now I know why. I'm not one to leave less than 5 star ratings but when I feel ripped off or disrespected than I feel it's necessary to share with the community. I brought my SUV in and purchased the platinum package. In addition, I asked that they vacuum the cargo area and wash the cargo mat because they didn't clean that area last time I was there. It cost extra for them to clean the cargo mat. The whole service plus cost over $50. when I got home (15 miles away) I realized they didn't clean the cargo area at all. Also they did a piss poor job of clean the back seat. I called up to inquire what the deal was and why the service wasn't done. The manager said I could bring it back today and they would wash the mat and vacuum the area. I had a screaming three-year old in the car and didn't feel like driving the 15 miles back to town. You are better off washing and vacuuming your car yourself for $15 at the self wash on Fremont. read more

These folks were angels and magicians all rolled into one. They did an amazing job on the car that I brought in for a friend. It was incredibly dirty, sticky, and smelly. Not sure why this got two star reviews. I didn't bother to read them as this was the only car wash open today. But the service was fine. The Navigator looks great and the camera monitor in the waiting area showed my car being taken care of and assured me our golf clubs and items in the back were not being taken like we've had at another place years ago.
