A safety check typically takes about an hour or so if the shop isn't busy. This particular morning there were already several cars present so I was prepared to wait. Maybe 15-20 minutes into my wait a staff member told me my car was ready. The initial guy, who I assumed was in charge looked me dead in my face with a smile and said my car was good to go and the safety check was free. Knowing I usually pay between $100-150 for the service I thought there is no way he isn't charging me. I was referred to another service shop by one of the doctor's at my office after sharing my concerns about this particular JL. I was told my front brakes were extremely low, one of my back tires was dangerously balled and my oil was so dirty they were surprised no engine lights were on. I'm sharing this because the white guy smiling in my face and telling me my car was good to guy, knowing they didn't even look at my car could have caused a dangerous situation for someone who drives extensively for work. If you don't want to service POC then maybe not be in th business of serving the public.

I drove down two hours to Monterey and it held air fine - dropped maybe a few PSI, but otherwise drivable. When I came back out the tire was hissing like crazy, and then went flat. It cost about $50 and everything was seamless, no frills, and they didn't try to upsell me on anything (a rarity). I'll be needing new tires in the next few months and will definitely be going through them as opposed to the dealership. Will definitely be utilizing Goodyear for all of my oil, tire, etc. needs going forward!

When I went in to the PG location (not by phone) to get the tire quote, they're professional response should have been as follows: "A four-tire install without the programming sensors is $160, and an additional $60 if we have to program them. In addition, you can purchase the sensors here for $54, or you can get them at NAPA Auto Parts for $29." PMS answer to my question? "It's $160". This answer was lazy, inept and quite unprofessional. I'll leave it at that. If they care to continue this behavior, I'll get a restraining order. Pretty simple. I've been going to Monterey Motors (Greg) for a very long time. He is great and suoer nice. The prices are comparable but they allow you to bring your own oil and oil filter which lowers the price. Oil change synthetic = 109.95 Oil change regular = 64.95 When I bring oil = $44.78 (I think if I brought both it's $35) They make it cheaper for the locals. Great service and great deal!

This was my first visit to this new PG Auto Repair shop for an oil change and brake inspection on…read moremy Fiat Abarth. I couldn't trust the local Oil Changers because they were moaning about the unique Oil filter housing and access issues. Owner Enrique was polite and attentive, and you can tell he's a motorsports enthusiast. He had some interesting projects underway in the shop, including a modern engine swap on a vintage GMC truck, a '68 mustang rebuild, and some tuning work on a Corvette for Laguna Seca racing. The waiting room is beautifully appointed like a European garage/lounge. It's a great place to a enjoy a refreshment while you're watching Top Gear on the bigscreen TV! I received a very reasonable quote for the oil change and feel I've finally found the right place for my Fiat. It's conveniently located but a little hard to find the shop. It's right off Forest (68W) at the Presidio exit. Make an immediate left on Austin and take the first driveway on the left and you'll find Axis Powers behind the animal hospital.

Goodyear Pacific Grove Tire & Service…read more On 2/17/2023 just after noon I arrived at Goodyear in Pacific Grove to have a tire plugged and my rear brakes replaced. Let me say that I am a Disabled Marine Veteran recovering from a 3 week old knee replacement. So I'm still getting around with a Walker. As I wait patiently outside enjoying the beautiful weather and speaking with my daughter someone just starts speaking loudly to me which I thought was very rude because it was clear that I was on the phone. I end my call with my daughter so I can give the person my attention. It the owner of the shop. He says your car is unsafe to drive. I responded by saying this is why I'm here to have a tire plugged and my rear brakes replaced. He proceeds to say "I'm going to have to call the police to report that your car is unsafe to drive". I respond "I understand that's why I'm here". My car is on the lift, tires off, brake inspection being completed. The owner then repeated " I have to call the police ". At this point I say "please put my car back together and I'll go somewhere else". I enter the store and ask the service writer Donal F to please have the mechanic to put my car back together. He responds "what country are you from"? I respond "excuse me" and he repeated "what country are you from"? I respond "I speak the king's English I'm from the USA I'm a disabled Marine Veteran and I'm African American". The owner at this point was on the phone with the PG police. As an African American man when some involves the police your mind goes to am I going to die today? My car get put together. PG Police arrive two units!!! Because my car is unsafe to drive?? Of course I speak with the first officer explain the situation and we enter the store to get my paperwork and keys so I can leave. Donal F says "I took what he said wrong". I reply "no you said it correctly until you got a dose of the wrong one"! I post this not to garner any empathy but to share that a simple trip to Goodyear to have repairs done on my car turned into a very freighting experience because the owner of our local Goodyear here in PG came to the conclusion that as a Black man I couldn't afford the work that needed to be done and attempted to use the Police against me and paint me as "the angry Black man". I know now that I need to go to the surrounding cities to have my car serviced.

Was able to get into be seen early in the morning and they were able to check my tire for the…read morenail/screw that I saw lodged. Good news the screw did not go deep enough to cause a leak. They took the tire off and put it into the dunk tank just in case. Since there was no issue, they didn't charge me for anything. I made sure to take care of the person helping me for their time. If you have a tire issue I would recommend this place.
