I absolutely LOVE The Slipaway. Since its opened, I've added it as a regular place in our rotation…read more We bring all of our out-of-town guests here for the awesome food, great music, and breathtaking views. My favorite Mexican food truck is unfortunately no longer there. I always used to get the Birria burrito from there. Now, I mostly order from Gigi Gourmet and get the Triple Threat burger, which has 3/4lb Wagyu beef, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, applewood bacon, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a sauce. The Pattie's are crispy on the outside since they are smash burgers and so juicy on the inside. The toppings are piled high. This burger is one of my favorite burgers in the whole area. We also like to order from The Lobster Chef truck. The lobster tacos are out of this world! The portion is generous and the price is fair. They are on flour tortillas with cheese, cabbage, guacamole, pineapple salad, cilantro lime crema, and a really generous portion of lobster. They are an absolute must-order. My husband loves the tuna poke bowl. It's a massive portion with sushi rice, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, avocado, crispy onion, spicy mayo, and ponzu sauce. He says the tuna tastes very fresh. Can't wait for our next trip to The Slipaway!

So of course, after that, I got to find some good food to eat coz nobody got time to cook on a Saturday. Pffhhh Did a quick search of "Thai food near me" and Sawasdee popped up on my gps. First of all, I can't believe Apple map actually found it...coz it was a food truck! What?! Parked right outside of Shoot Center. Makes sense, you get hungry after a pew pew lesson or two and voila! Food you don't have to cook! No dishes to do! Anyhoo, I decided to try their Pad Thai and Massaman curry. And OMG, this is quite possibly one of the best Thai take out place in the Cape! No eating on site unless you wanna pop a squat outside 100 degree heat and sweat your balls off. Who wants that?! The flavor profile is mwah! The amount of food is crazy much. Like I-guess-I'll-eat-Thai food-for-the-next-three-days much. Every bite of the pad Thai had chicken in it. It was simply so tasty. Lots of peanuts. What peanut allergy? PS: I don't typically review food coz being a foodie, I tend to judge harshly. And mama always said if you ain't got nothing nice to say...you know the rest. The massaman curry was so good. I forgot to ask for spicy but that's ok, I'm Asian so naturally I'll have chili oil at my disposal. The taste was rich, the curry wasn't thick and again, lots of chicken! The thing is, this is so unexpected for a food truck. Typical food truck food, you pay an exorbitant amount for just a wee little bit of food. Not the case here! Guys, if you're in the Cape, pls go give this place a try. Get there, order, sit in your car, do some social media-ing, maybe read this review, and have some great Thai food 15 mins later. I highly recommend it. GG

So happy to have found this place for lunch. Perfect location to watch birds fishing and enjoy the weather. The food was excellent and so was the service. You order at the counter and they will bring you food to the tiki hut overlooking the water. We ordered a Philly, Rueben, burger and fries. Everyone loved their food. My favorite was the Philly. The fries were huge and were so incredibly tasty. I heard the owner might be opening a restaurant soon. Hoping to check it out or return here next time I visit Pine Island !

We wanted to explore Pine Island and came across their excellent Google reviews. As we were driving in, I began to worry that the hours listed on Google for their location were incorrect. But we went all the way to the end of the dark Marina tonight, and there it was! We ordered the Crabby fries, the Smashburger in the Pastrami Reuben. One of the reasons I think their food is so delicious is that they make many items in-house, such as the amazing queso that came with the fries (which might have been the best fries I've ever had- no exaggeration). They prepare the fries in a unique way that doesn't involve deep-frying them, unlike most places. They also smoke their pastrami, and the Pastrami Reuben sandwich was also delicious. We also both enjoyed the Smashburger. An upgrade to bun might be worthwhile, but it was damn tasty. We also had a lovely chat with one of the managers?, Matthew. He was super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the restaurant. It was dark when we went, but I'm sure it's a beautiful view of the water and the marina during the day. We'll be back to try the wings and some other menu items. Visit them soon, you won't be disappointed!

We grabbed a tempura sushi roll from the lobster truck. (1 roll was $19! ) and got a lily Pad punch at the inside bar, where we sat. The drink was good, Tasty. So cute with the frog on a lily pad! (a lime slice). The drink was not weak. It was a good choice. All the bartenders we very attentive and came around to see how we were doing. We didnt stay long, it was loud and we were having a hard time hearing.... and there were too many flies dive bombing us. There was also a live band playing outside. Plenty of table tables and chairs and sitting area, which I absolutely love because it's so important to have space like that. Then as I entered in, you walk either side of the wall to the right you immediately walk up to a counter where you I believe place you can place an order for the food trucks and I'll get to that in a minute. I personally didn't order food, but that is where you do it. And then on the perimeter is where the food trucks are and what's really cool is that the food trucks are parked up to the building structure so basically their windows is what you walk up to to get the food and they're kind of like covered over by the roof of the building for protection - Smart very smart! On the left-hand side, they have some games, and then when you head back, there is a huge bar - rectangular bar. Plenty of space! Lots of TVs and what I really love is clusters of lounge areas. I haven't seen that really anywhere and I really love this concept. And they're huge couches. I know I'm using the word huge a lot, but you'll see what I mean when you checkout Backyard Social!
