I also added the trio of dipping sauces (guacamole, salsa, and queso). They left out the beans and rice. So while the tacos were good, it's hard to give more than 3 stars when they leave out 1 of 3 items (And that's if you really want to call the sauces an item). The location of this restaurant is great and it is very accessible. The food is usually warm to hot but it could be more on the size of sizzling. Had to check this place out! We had a Cheese Quesadilla and a Pork Bowl. I saw them making a burrito for the person in front of me and they were HUGE!! It's the the biggest burrito I have ever seen! The bowl was huge too. Their chips and queso are delicious!! Their cookierito... ohh DO NOT leave there without getting one of those!! Deep fried cookie dough in a tortilla. It looked so good I ate it without even thinking of getting a picture of it. You will just have to take my word for it Now I was a little bummed about my quesadilla. I joked and said that all their money goes towards filling their burritos because there was literally nothing on my quesadilla. I got the veggie one and it was mostly the tortilla and barely any filling at all. You tell them what you want and they have to fit the filling in a little cup. Walking into the restaurant at 10:30am was informed that they don't open until 11am. Whatever. So I ordered online for pickup at 11:15am. I've visited the downtown Fort Myers location a number of times. It's convenient to my apartment location, the food has always been good, and the customers service has been great... until tonight. I walked in at approximately 8:30pm, with my leashed, well-behaved golden doodle -- who I have taken there with me before, and with no problem. Tonight: big problem. No sooner had Hazel and I stepped through the front door, was I greeted with "no dogs here, sir." "Do you want my business?" I asked. "No dogs in here sir," was the response. They have the right to refuse service to people with dogs, just as I have the right to bring the issue here to *yelp. It's not that she spoke in a rude tone -- which she did. It's the mere fact that on two other occasions, I have gone in with Hazel and placed my to-go order without issue. As I said when I turned to walk out of the restaurant: bulls***. Personally, I will never patronize this business again, and I encourage other dog parents to do the same. This is my first encounter with 3 Pepper Burrito. As you walk in before you order, you notice that a large tortilla press was there. I asked for a white tortilla and the staff quick make the tortilla in front of me. Impressive, fresh tortilla from dough to 12" wrapper in less than 2 minute! I ordered the Mojo Pork which has a hot and spicy sauce over the Carnitas . I loaded them up with fresh Jalapeno, lecture, white rice with pinto bean, cheese, and guacamole. It was delicious! Wife ordered the Chicken Burrito with brown rice, lecture, cheese but no Jalapeno. It is a mild burrito as compare to my hot and spicy Carnitas burrito. We both selected Pico de Gallo (or Salsa Fresca) with our chip. Well the great thing about Pico de Gallo is that it is a fresh uncooked salsa whereas most "salsas" are made with canned tomatoes. The fresh tomatoes, onions, Chile peppers and cilantro just work its wonder with fresh and crispy nacho chip. It is a great lunch. On Wednesday, they have a Burrito Trio for $6.99 with a drink. I came here for a quick filling meal and wasn't disappointed. I ordered the steak bowl with brown rice, black beans, salad, sour cream and steak. It was so big it was easily enough for two meals. Now, their steak isn't like the regular steak. I'm not sure what they do to it but it has a smokey flavor that puts it at the top of the fast casual Mexican style bowls category... ( is that even a category?) I sometimes order the burrito instead of the bowl. The burritos are all freshly pressed when you order your meal. The fire roasted salsa that came with the chips wasn't my favorite, I gave it to my friend. I wish the sour cream didn't come in a packet because it's a very small amount and I really love lots of sour cream on my tacos and quesadillas. The churros looked good, I wish I would've tried some. Not sure if I'll be back because it's the same price as Chipotle but Chipotle's portions and flavors are much better plus they're non-gmo which is very important to me. We told them it was our first time visiting and asked for the run down.... no explanation, but I quickly figured I'd get a bowl like I would at Chipotle. The queso is orange, not white, but very tasty. Ambiance - there is nothing too special about the place. There is a lot of natural light and an outdoor seating area. Notables - there is a sauce tray over by the soda machine with several delicious hot sauces. Cleanliness - very clean. And as a plus, there is a place by the soda machine where you can wash your hands before or after eating. Super nice considering you're using your hands to scarf down most of their menu items. We are extremely frustrated that we rushed all the way to 3 Pepper to grab one cookierito before they closed. My husband arrive in the door by 8:50 pm (10 minutes before closing) and asked a worker cleaning tables, if he could grab a cookierito real quick? He said it wasn't too late, just tell the girl at the counter. The girl at the counter then said the girl in the back was too busy on her cell phone. She was obviously ignoring my husband for at least 8 minutes to finally tell him the kitchen is shut down and it's too late, but it wasn't even 9:00 pm yet! Why would they close down the kitchen completely before closing hours? It was a waste of our time and gas! Stopped here when we arrived in Florida after finding the restaurant on Yelp. The food was fresh and really tasty. The options for entrees and toppings were plentiful. Both my steak & carnitas bowl and my husband's carnitas burrito came with chips & salsa. We paid $1 more to have queso and fresh guacamole. The portions were large and fairly priced. My favorite kind of ice for your drink and even a hand-washing station were available. The restaurant was clean and easy to get to. The staff was helpful and friendly. My first visit to 3 pepper burrito was a smashing success. They won me over right away when they made the tortilla right in front of me. They spread the dough and pressed the dough into a golden brown masterpiece. The great part about this place is the number of options. For instance, they have 2 different types of jalapeños. My wife got black olives on her burrito. They have sauces and gaucamole. You also get free chips with your order. Two minor nitpicks: 1) because they make their own tortillas it takes a little while to get through the line. 2) they should have a sign or menu that shows customers the fixings available to them. Okay, so I want to say I am a huge 3 Peppers fangirl. The only reason I go anywhere else for a burrito is if there is a charity fundraiser or Girl Scout cookies. 3 Peppers has the BEST burritos and staff. Seriously, this place is amazing and I could go on forever telling you about the delicious steak, the fresh veggies, the EPIC guac, the delicious Chipotle ranch (omfg so good) and the AMAZING wheat tortillas. But I won't. This review is for Elliot though. Elliot was a new employee when I came in needing some comfort food after losing my job. I warned him that my burrito is not easy to wrap (I get almost everything on it.) and to not stress out because I usually just put it in a bowl when I get home. Elliot basically too this as a challenge and made the PERFECT burrito. I'm not even kidding when I say this was the most photogenic burrito ever. It could have been a model- before I devoured it. Called the store to get it corrected, the person who answered was a "shift lead" and blamed whoever ordered the tortilla saying there was an error and they got smaller wheat tortillas, so he couldn't help me because that's ordering. When I asked for a manager he said there was nobody there. I asked if he handled customer orders then and he was dead silent for a solid 20+ seconds. He could not help me with my order, I am not able to get the second half of my burrito, nor am I able to get any refund because of the crappy service. Definitely not worth the money I spent.
