Excelente servicio. Comida deliciosa. Ambiente agradable y cálido he limpio.

Had an enjoyable experience at El Grifo in Caguas when on a trip to San Juan! Had seen this restaurant come up on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives & was dying to try it. Food & Drink - Large collection of craft/local beers & beer flights offered. Really enjoyed the coconut soup. Pizza & sliders were very good but just really large portions. Did not feel that the bolognese pasta was as good as it was raved up to be. Overall no complaints but I'd say average as far as vegan food goes! Service - really kind staff & friendly service that will let you taste the beers & give recommendations on the menu! Ambiance - fun vibe, seems like sometimes they have live music. We sat at the bar & enjoyed talking to the staff. Glad we tried out the spot, but not sure I'd return - I'd say some of the dishes do need a little tweaking but overall have potential!

This was a very refreshing meal here in Puerto Rico! As a vegetarian it is hard to find meals to eat that are satisfying and NOT fried. El Grifo helped me feel full and fabulous!! The tea was refreshing and had just a hint of matcha, I loved it but if you want the matcha flavor this might not satisfy your craving. The green life pizza was amazing, the pesto was tasty and light. My boyfriend had the cocopao soup, I had a taste and it was very delicious the coconut on top really added a nice and different flavor. The service was a bit slow but made up by being cery adherent to COVID guidelines.

This place deserves 5 stars and nothing left. My only hope is that I wish my stomach was big enough so I could try more items. Everything that I had was delicious, and full of flavor. I loved the buffalo "wings", the soup, and the chickpea "steak". Normally I do not go for the food items that mimic animals, but the fact that they used chickpeas as a base caught my interest. I am glad it didn't taste exactly like steak, but it had wonderful flavor with a Smokey hint which I loved. The sweet potato paired with the plant "sour cream", and chives were delectable. I did not eat dessert, but I need to come back again to try other items. Also, the meetballs, and beetballs was also very good. Everytime I hit this island I will be sure to stop here!

My boyfriend and I stopped in by chance;although I had it saved as a place I wanted to check out I didn't realize it was close to cigar museum and art museum nearby. I had the stuffed quinoa pesto mushrooms(setas gratinadas)and my boyfriend had the cocopao. Both were absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised the pesto didn't have an overwhelming taste of basil;it was well balanced with its other components. As they are about to change their current menu one item I would like them to keep is the cocopao. Boyfriend had a craft beer which he said was tasty(IPA) We finished off the meal sharing a slice of chocolate cake . Had a nice spicy kick.

    Blue cheese and bacon burger.

Great food, great service. Love the burger and lo mein. Beet juice and ginger lemonade were awesome.

That kind of hospitality is rare and I can't say enough about it. Now for my one nitpick, and this is a me problem more than a them problem: I don't totally love Puerto Rican food. This is authentic comida criolla, which pulls from Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish influences all at once, and my picky palate keeps asking what exactly it's trying to be. But the vibes, the people, and the setting made the whole experience more than worth it. Come for the criollo cooking, stay for one of the warmest rooms in San Juan.

Delightfully spicy, yet the Guacamole tames it nicely. Great choice! I moved on to the Chicken breast in Garlic sauce. Watched as the young, but experienced chef started cooking the meat on low heat, allowing the Garlic to be absorbed, then turning up the heat to seal in the flavor. Great Technique! The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. I suffer from severe food allergies but wanted to experience their tasting menu. My server spoke to the chef directly and then took the time to walk me through every option. I TRULY appreciated that they did not take anything off the menu but rather told me how they could adjust for my allergies. That is very rare and so very much appreciated that they went that extra mile for me. I highly recommend the tasting menu. It's 5 courses and they give you 3 options to choose from, within each course. And for the price ($85), a great value. Everything was delicious but I highly recommend the Breadfruit Gnocchi, Rainbow Runner Crudo, and Criollo Duck Mofongo. Chefs kiss! We were greeted, seated inside, and our order was taken with no issues. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill and became one of the most unsanitary restaurant experiences I've ever witnessed. While we were waiting on our food, a man walked in with a dog. It was obvious the staff knew him because several employees immediately started interacting with the dog. The first thing I noticed was our waitress using both of her hands to pet the dog while the dog repeatedly licked her hands. In my mind, I thought surely she would go wash or sanitize her hands afterward. Instead, she proceeded directly toward the kitchen area and started preparing the condiments for our burgers without washing or sanitizing her hands at all. She then brought those condiments directly to our table. At that point, I politely told her she needed to wash her hands and that we no longer wanted the condiments. She walked away to the back, but the situation only got worse from there. The dog was approximately one foot away from our table the entire time. Personally, I do not believe dogs belong inside restaurants, especially around food preparation areas. Dogs carry germs, and anyone who owns dogs knows one of the first things they do when greeting other dogs is sniff each other's private areas. Watching staff pet the dog and immediately return to handling food and kitchen items without washing their hands was honestly disgusting. As we waited for the manager, another employee came up and allowed the dog to lick all over his hands. Right after that, he proceeded directly into the kitchen area to continue cooking food -- again, no hand washing, no sanitizer, nothing. We watched at least three more employees interact with the dog and only one person actually washed their hands afterward. When the manager finally came over, I explained exactly what had happened and asked him if he truly believed this was sanitary. His response was basically that dogs are welcome in the establishment and that he would "tell the staff to wash their hands." His attitude came across very dismissive, like he really didn't care about the seriousness of the situation. At that point, I asked for the bill for our drinks because there was absolutely no way I was going to eat food from an establishment operating like that. To make matters even worse, while we were paying, the man with the dog proceeded to take the dog toward the back near the kitchen area. Completely unacceptable and unsanitary. I understand some places are dog-friendly, but there still has to be health standards and proper hygiene when employees are handling food. Watching staff pet and get licked by a dog and then immediately touch food items and kitchen equipment without washing their hands ruined the entire experience for me. I will definitely not be returning.
