Found out tables were only available via reservation which I thought was a bit odd for a Mexican restaurant but we were offered a seat at the bar so we jumped on that. Inside the decor was festive with a number of Frida pictures and great wallpaper in the restroom. We ordered guacamole and tacos. The guacamole came out quickly and was tasty, with a slightly sweet twist due to the pomegranate seeds and chips just as I like them. I ordered the milwalke and manolos bam bam tacos. I preferred the bam bam because it was filled a bit more but I didn't love the mayo based sauce on either. I would've preferred that on the side or, even better, an offering of salsa instead. I would've loved to review their salsa but only heard about it as I was finished up and it was offered to the couple sitting next to us at the bar. I was excited to try here but there were a few misses during our visit so we'll head to other local restaurants when we're in the area for a more satisfying meal next time.

Busy restaurant, great things are in store. We were greeted by friendly bartenders but after dropping off water, took them a long time to come back around to take our order. When they did came back, it was to ask us to accommodate another couple at the bar by sliding over, rather than take our order. Eventually we ordered, guac of course and a few tacos each. The guac came out super quick, which was a good thing because the tacos took forever, like 30 minutes or more. Which for tacos, should never take that long. We also had to ask for napkins and utensils at this time. The food showed up, quesa-birria and the brisket. The brisket taco was excellent. If I come back, I'll order those. The birria was soggy and lacked the crispiness expected from something called birria. Even tho there was consomme called out in the description, non was provided. What made it worse is when the food was delivered to a couple near by, they were offered salsa and all the things. Felt like we missed out on things. It should have been better. Not sure I'll give it another try.

The menu was great, the food was very good and the owner was super friendly.the Greta thing is that you can suck into the adjacent store on the property and grab a cerveza and the food truck will give you a couple plastic cups, limes, and salt if you need it. You could eat it on site or take it to go and eat in the grassy park at a picnic table a block away! The guac and chips, carne asada tacos on corn or flour tortillas were money! We will be back.

We pulled into the parking lot and found a great menu with really reasonable pricing and a super-friendly man in the window. We ordered a Quesidilla and 2 Tacos, both with a bottle of Mexican Coke. I then noticed Churros on the menu board and had to have one of those too. Everything was great! This was a perfect meal for us as we ate at the picnic table in the parking lot. Atmosphere? Actually, really nice! We could people watch and carry on a nice conversation with the man in the window; I wish I remembered his name, but his pride in his work and food was extraordinary! Finding a great Mexican food truck in this little town is a treat, and not one to be missed! No accessibility issues since it is outside and open to all.

I really enjoy finding good food trucks and I am glad this is in Oconomowoc daily. Gabriel and Rosa are the owners and are always very friendly. Everything is made to order, fairly fast and good proportions. I enjoy the Mexican style tacos (meat, onions and cilantro on a corn tortilla) over the American style, you can get both. The salsa verde is really good, pretty good kick and is very flavorful. Not sure what they add to that, but I've never had salsa verde like that. I get the steak tacos (Mexican style), my son usually opts for the ground beef. All fresh and made to order. They may be backed up with people and orders, so be patient if there are people ahead of you and it may take a bit of time to get your order but well worth it.

There are many dining options in the area, and I have recommended Senor Tomas to many friends over the years. Last night I had an unpleasant experience. I am a (somewhat) senior citizen at 67, and my GF recommended a few alternate places, but it was such a beautiful evening that I recommended that we go to ST and dine on the patio. We walked onto the patio and stood waiting to be seated. My GF has a problem with her foot, and standing and walking can be painful. I asked the waitress/hostess if we could please be seated. She said that someone would seat us. There were 12 or 14 tables and only 2 had people seated at them. We stood there waiting for maybe 5 or 10 minutes, and I finally decided to just seat ourselves (even if temporarily) at a small table with 2 chairs. After a few minutes, the Manager abruptly charged out of the restaurant door to our table with a very angry look on his face. He did not greet us, but instead said "Do NOT seat yourselves, if you do, you run the risk not being noticed or served at all". I corrected him and told him politely in a calm voice that we HAD asked to be seated, but were not, so we sat down. He did not apologize, but left if a huff. I guess the customer is NOT always right. I noticed that the Manager thanked other tables as they left, but he ignored us (fine) We completed our (great) meal, drinks and desert. The bill was over $100, and we tipped generously. Maybe the Manager was having a bad day, but he should not take it out on his customers. I am not sure if we will return to what was one of our favorite local restaurants.

When we finally got our beverages, the server forgot the straws so we waited several more minutes for that. When our food arrived, we still had not received the appetizer we ordered. When I asked about it, I got a blank stare. Finally received the appetizer well into our meal. I asked for extra napkins. Was finally given one along with an extra set of silverware with a napkin around it and the server mumbled something about that being all they had. Watch out when you get your bill They show a cash price and a credit card price. Then they show suggested tip amounts of 20%, 25% and 30% and it's based on the credit card total, not cash total which is pretty shady if you ask me as it indicates not only do they want to charge you an extra percentage to use your card but they want you to top on that extra percentage too. Definitely will not be returning. We were so looking forward to trying a new place and ended up being very disappointed.
