As much as we've liked it in the past, our last visit did not impress at all. My husband's enchiladas were ok. My chicken quesadilla was meh. No flavor. Just minced chicken between two tortillas with some cheese. Every other restaurant who has quesadilla has guacamole included. $3.50 add! I should have just ordered the guacamole with chips. Asked about drinks, instead of bringing a drink menu the waiter just rattled off margaritas. $22 for a half pitcher of lime on the rocks with no special tequila. Food was bland and overpriced. Su Casa is a classic Mexican restaurant with an expansive menu and lots of seating. We were seated as a group of six right away on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly and got us lots of chips and salsa right away. We ordered some guacamole and queso to start, as well as some margaritas. We really enjoyed the variety of margaritas and the delicious queso and guac. We order a round of entrees, mainly variations of the taco dinner. I wasn't impressed with the tacos, they were pretty flavorless and basic. Also, for the price of the entrees I expected a little bit more. It's trying to display as if we are outside. The dinner prices are mostly $17-$23. The food came quick. Both the enchiladas mole and spicy were good but they lacked sauce. The spicy wasn't very spicy though. The enchiladas had a lot of cheese. The rice and beans are typically Mexican average. The lime margaritas were tasty and strong! The server checked in just the right amount of times and was good with a large group and within the confined space. Beautiful dinning in a warm atmosphere with excellent service. The food is very good. Tocos crispy and full of beef, leaving lettuce, cheese, tomato overflow. They have a great variety of dinners to choose from. I've never had a dinner there that I did not care for. Yes. It is expensive, but all restaurants are now days. Laura in the bar does a great job making drinks and keeping up with the patrons who are there. The bar has large TVs to watch all the games. It is a great place to be. read more

Every interaction felt rushed, indifferent, and transactional -- as if they couldn't wait to clock out. Hospitality 101 was clearly missed; warmth, attentiveness, and basic courtesy were nowhere in sight. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you feel like an inconvenience to the people serving it. Even though the food itself was good - but not outstanding, the service ruined the experience. For dinner I ordered the chipotle shrimp, it turns out chipotle shrimp is just shrimp with salsa and a side of tortillas...I think maybe 8 medium shrimp. The plate looked so empty? We've been regular customers of this place for a couple years now but today's experience was very disappointing. The food was terrific, so that was no problem at all, but I was really irritated when I got the bill and found that they'd charged us an extra $4.98 for two tiny cups of sour cream -- which the waitress had asked us up front if we wanted with our meal, but never once mentioned there was an additional charge for it, let alone such an exorbitant one. For that price I should've driven down the street to Piggly Wiggly and gotten my own full size container of sour cream for the meal! I guess we'll need to find a new establishment for our business because this is very poor practice that I have to presume comes straight from management, and as a customer I shouldn't have to ask if every little thing is an extra charge. And if the waitress suggests it, they really need to tell the customer there is an extra charge. Really disappointed in this restaurant's decline. read more

We ordered our food within 2 min the lights went out in the restaurant, nobody said anything to us, they brought us our food and we had to eat in the dark luckily my friend used her cell phone light to help us see what we were eating ! We stayed and tried to finish our food, them we ask the waitress if we were going to be compensated for the inconvenience she said i will speak to the manage, he comes to the table and says well all i can do is take 20% off your order, we're already losing money, never apologies just really nasty, this was not our fault! The food was good, but the payment was deceptive. I ordered online, an enchilada dinner and a chimichanga dinner. Based on charges, the food should have come to about $34-35. I walked in the door and was hit with a $42 bill. Nowhere on the web site that I or my wife saw is there a mention of a 20% charge. When you order, it simply says "Payment will be collected when you pick up your order." Added onto the bill was a $7.14 "gratuity", even though this was carry-out. And the receipt had a line for additional "tip". I already got stabbed for 20% and you want more?! Tips are for waitstaff, and none were involved. Had I known about this 20% add-on, I'd have canceled the order. I suspect many others would too, which is why it's hidden. I should have refused to pay and just walked out. My wife was reading reviews and people who tried to fight the charge get a shrug. So you can order if you want, but be aware of the 20% "tax" on it. I'm done with the place. Give me straight up prices and let me decide. Don't deceive me with hidden charges. I'd give it zero stars for this, but that's not allowed. The food was good, but not remarkable. They were out of CO2, so there was no carbonated soda unless it was bottled. The restaurant was clean as well as the restroom. Most of the dining room tables were filled. The first thing I noticed was the price increase. I think about $3-5. The food came out quickly after ordering. Food was good, but I usually put a large amount of habanero salsa on to add more flavor and spice. The house salsa tastes like Pace picante sauce for those who remember the commercial or brand. The fajitas came up hot, sputtering grease. The meal came with plenty of food. Most of the meat was chorizo, with a little amount of chicken and steak. The vegetarian chimichanga had a good wrapping and flavor. 90% of the filling was carrots, which I don't know if that is normal. Ate there several times for lunch. Both times food was very dry and not much flavor. Husband and I use to really like this place. Husband had very dry Tamales and I had Enchilada's. Husbands Tamales terrible. I tried one and spit it into my napkin. I could barely chew it or swallow it. My Enchilada's not much flavor also. No sauce for one. We spoke to the manager and he told us that the owner likes the Tamales this way. Not good for people who want some good Mexican food. We will find another place to go. Such a great place with the best outdoor patio. Love the outdoor fireplace but we didn't need it this night. They were packed! Combination plate is always my favorite. They have the best, freshest shredded beef chimichanga I've ever had. The tortilla was so flaky yummy! Enchilada was just as delicious. The tostada was a little light on toppings but still plenty of food for a plate that I couldn't even finish it. The chips were average and kind of thick for my liking. Margaritas were average as well. But all in all everyone loved it and it was a great time. A TON of food. Came here with my aunt on a Monday evening and it was honestly pretty busy. The guac is made table side and the girl doing ours was very friendly and easy to talk to. Our server brought us more chips for our guac and two baskets just for the salsa. I got 3 street tacos with chicken and a side of rice and beans. Lots of cheese which I enjoyed but may not be for everyone so make sure to keep that in mind. My aunt got steak fajitas that came with a side of beans, rice, guac and tortillas. Was my first time eating here. The food was excellent, I had chicken mole enchiladas. The hot salsa is very good-kinda smokey habanero flavor. Cadillac margaritas were excellent. The waitress had a pleasant greeting in the beginning with quickly shifted when we questioned the price on the company website that stated Taco Tuesday $1.99 because she said Taco Tuesday is $2.50 al la carte. After going back and forth with her telling her that they have to honor the price on their website, the manager Jorge walked up. We explained the situation and he said the price was wrong on the website, he didn't want to pay to make the corrections on the website, that he had bills to pay and that we could go to a restaurant in Menomonee Falls that have tacos for $1.99. I told him we will be doing a review on his establishment later. To our surprise, we were charge almost $8 for 3 cups of sour cream and 2 cups of guacamole. You can't go wrong here. Recently visited on a busy taco Tuesday for date night. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait for a table, not a big deal. But we decided to eat at the bar seeing there was room. They were short staffed, but working really hard to keep up. We each ordered a margarita and dinner (Burrito Colorado and Enchiladas Rojas).
