Wdym I can get a chile relleno INSIDE my super burrito?! Hello sold! Okay I'm being silly but this was legitimately delicious. My husband likes street tacos and these were superb. The pastor is sooo flavorful. My chile relleno was tasty and crispy, and the burrito was flavorful from the tortilla to the fillings, PLUS they followed my special request (no rice). I'm afraid we were the rude guests who ordered ~30 minutes before closing, but they still did an excellent job. No corners were cut, clearly high quality right up to the closing minute. We truly appreciate the good service! And this salsa - the salsa roja is smoky and delicious but the salsa verde has my heart. It was perfectly limey, the teensiest bit of zing, but definitely flavorful. We were having the worst day before we ordered dinner, but having good food with family always softens the edges of a harsh day. The price was also a good value imo compared to how expensive things have become in general these days, so that's a bonus. Highly recommend and we'll be back again to try more things! read more

This review is really about the character of the staff who work here -- we are truly in awe. They are honest, respectful, and genuinely good people. We only wish there were more businesses like this everywhere. My daughter lost her bag and wasn't sure where she had left it. Hubby and I have been coming to this place since 2022 ish and it was good, but tonight it was great... the food is delicious I had the taco plate 10 dollars! Hubby had a burrito and tore it up! The ambiance is very chill! TV was on.. golf.. that won my husband over instantly... we also said hello to a couple who brought lawn chairs and ate their food on the side walk near the parking lot.. very cool! Last but not least is the service.. they are always polite, the team is joyful and I they appreciate each other...you can feel the love and taste it in the food! I'm only reviewing the food as I had it delivered via Uber Eats. This is my 1st time trying this place. Street taco was yummy - I recommend this. I had the carne asada My wet burrito was huge. They are not stingy with the mole sauce. Which is pretty tasty. I will say they are pretty heavy handed with the cheese - and coming from a person that loves cheese - that's a lot of cheese! We've officially found our new obsession and honestly, we can't stop talking about it. Their burrito is without question IMO best in all of Contra Costa County. Perfectly seasoned, packed with flavor, and rolled perfectly each time . And the California Nacho Fries? Just as incredible. Loaded and messy in the BEST way, absolutely addictive. These two items have us so hooked that even though everything else coming out looks amazing, we keep ordering the same thing because nothing compares. I have been to this taqueria more than 10 times. Service is good but I am not sure if a new cook has been hired but on 1/31/2025 I had a burrito supreme and it was one of the worst burritos I have had. First I ordered it with al pastor as the protein but got flavorless carnitas. But there were other issues. 1. It was not wrapped well so the whole thing started to sag and oil leaked out of the bottom. 2. I needed to finish like 5 large bites to get to the protein. It was mostly rice and beans. 3. There was hardly any pico de gallo 4. The sour cream and avacado were bunched up on each end of the burrito. When this happens I can't understand how cooks can construct the burrito so poorly. I have had a lot of good meals here. But something must be off. I would like to say this is an off day or they may have been training someone. But the person who prepped my bag had to see how sloppy it was wrapped. Quantity control needs to be better. read more

I've been here a few times now and can say the service and food are consistently great. I think the gentleman who is usually behind the register must be the owner or someone who is involved as his investment shows. He talks to customers, takes orders, deals with the door dash alarm, answers phones and expedites food all while keeping a smile on his face. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of community members and workers eating their meals so if you go during the week or lunch on Saturday it will probably be bumping! This last time I got our order to go and after a reheat the tacos are not great so my advice, eat there or as fresh as possible for the best experience. That being said...the secret is in the sauce people! I love enchiladas and they have this beautiful sauce like a mole profile. This time I ordered a super grilled chicken (or supreme, is what is listed on the menu) no pico, cilantro and onion instead. The burritos are still huge, and the chicken had a great flavor (hallelujah!). However, I wish the ratio of meat to everything else was balanced. I had way too much rice and beans and not enough chicken or cilantro and onion. Also ordered an horchata (homemade not from the machine), which was really good. Their chips and salsa are really good too. Tried the homemade flan - I've had better (Cocina Medina has the best one in the area). Going to try them again and hopefully I'll get more meat.
