This place is an absolute jem. My dad and I popped into this restaurant on a Sunday morning to try their menudo. As soon as we walked into the establishment we were greeted by a very friendly and attentive waitress. To our surprise we did not have to wait long before we received our menudo and quesabirrias. Although the presentation of the food can be a little deceiving, it was absolutely delicious! So we try this place out because our regular Birria Taco joint closes early on Sunday. We order 6 barrow tacos but we want the rice and beans. And a small horchata. First off nobody on the establishment had on a mask...... lady in there coughing and Jawn... so whatever we grab the food after an additional 7 minutes waiting when we arrived after 20 minutes of calling. Then on the way out we noticed they forgot the horchata, so we drove back.... she's like "i dodnt charge u for it" okay koo, but i definitely ordered it. So long story long these aren't birria tacos .... we are disappointed the tacos, look at the rice .... this ain't Mexican or Spanish rice.... the salsa has no flavor it's just hot... nothing distinguishing. Terrible!! The tacos were a nice size, but the consume that you dip the tacos in was not good at all. It tasted like straight beef broth that was under seasoned. The consistency wasn't there. This is a good place to know about if you're going out to a show at the arena in Concord and need a quick bite to eat. It's cheap, the service is good enough, and the food tastes like real food someone cooked rather than crap someone reheated. Hats off to people who can feed you tender stewed goat and crispy tripe tacos, but still accommodate your friend who wants a chicken quesadilla with no salsa or cilantro. This is our go to spot for birria. We always get goat, as soup. There is enough for two of us to share. It's a little on the spicy side, especially after we add the sauce. That just makes it what everyone in our family craves when they have a cold; it clears it right up. This is the worst birria I've ever had in my life. The meat was tough. The flavor was unique, and not in a good way. The premises weren't very clean. My boyfriend had a carne asada burrito and he was not impressed. The prices of the food were also quite high - given the quality and portions of the meal. I have been here several times and I finally got a chance to write a review.This is a family run restaurant and as such service is limited to how many people are serving that day (why the four not five stars).... I like the tacos and the burritos.. nice size, good for the price and fresh.. The spices can be heavy if you ask, which my wife does as she likes it very hot.. My daughter, our cheese fan, loves their cheese quesadilla... big and cheesy she says... My son is a taco fan, and being 12 likes them simple.. The place seems like a whole in the while and a bit sketchy since its next door to a bar. They brought out a chips and salsa which were stail and the salsa flavorless. I ordered a michelada especial which came with warm shirp and cucumber around the rim. The drink it self was a bit heavy on the chilli powder and made it a bit hard to drink it.
