Here's what I always order: breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, beans and cheese. It is perfect, believe me. They have a way of cooking potatoes until they have a smooth texture and a fresh delicious taste. I'm a big fan of their salsa Roja and I like how they have it on a salsa bar, along with salsa verde, restaurant-style salsa, sliced radishes and pickled carrots/jalapeños. I don't live in Beaumont anymore but I make a special trip here when I'm on way to and from San Bernardino. Also, I was greeted with a smile when I walked in and I like that. Over the years I've tried several items on their menu and I made this my regular place for Mexican food. The El Pastor street taco I ordered was like eating shoe leather. The meat was grossly overcooked and the price was ridiculous.

Giving it a two star for the effort of taking my order and actually putting my food in the box other than that I can't believe that you work at a taco shop and you can't even assemble a taco correctly. I ordered the two taco combo plate. One taco was assembled with two taco shells with a remaining taco ingredients at the bottom of the plate and lots of juice from the chicken I'm assuming ..what a mess, so basically I got one taco with two taco shells and a chicken salad on the bottom. I checked out this place as it's close to a RV Site we frequent when in SoCal. I needed to stop at the grocery store for a few things and was hungry. I read the reviews in the parking lot before I went in and some of them are negative and some of them are positive and you're gonna find that with different places. I got the California burrito, with an Al Pastor taco and a shredded beef burrito for my wife. The California burrito was OK, there wasn't fries but leftover hashbrowns from their breakfast burrito. No sour cream or guacamole, the Carne asada tasted fine but could use some seasoning. The tortilla was the best part. My wife's burrito was OK as well and could use some seasoning. The best thing I had was the taco which the meat was seasoned perfectly, and it came with a nice diced onion and cilantro. The homemade salsa was really good. You could tell this is family owned as they had younger kids in the waiting area as the adults worked in the back. Which I respect and adore. I would give it another chance, the prices are 30% higher than they should be based on the product you receive. read more

Menudo Rojo Review - Honest Thoughts This past Saturday, I stopped by one of the local spots in town to try their menudo rojo, hoping for a convenient and satisfying meal. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The flavor was noticeably lacking the broth didn't have the depth or richness that a good menudo usually delivers. I was also disappointed to find very little honeycomb tripe (the best part!); instead, it was mostly blanket tripe, cut into very small pieces. There was also a slight odor, which often points to tripe that wasn't rinsed as thoroughly as it should be. What stood out most was the lack of hominy there was little to none in my bowl, which made the dish feel incomplete. At $15 for a 32 oz serving, I had hoped for something closer to traditional, home-style menudo. While I was open to giving it a second try, I don't see myself returning unless there are noticeable improvements. I know they have two locations in town, but so far, I've only visited one. I truly wanted to like it menudo is one of my favorites but for now, I'll keep looking for a spot that serves it the way it's meant to be enjoyed. read more

I don't know what happen in the past few months but the food hasn't been the same at all order chicken burrito they added a bunch of other things to it and when I would order it back then it only came with rice and beans well today I ordered asada sopes then I said let me get the plate instead de asada and in the receipt it says beef they gave me shredded beef with a bunch of other shit on it bell peppers watery lettuce I'm so disappointed here my husband would go here almost every week we haven't gone since the first time they messed up our order and I had to repay for a new burrito and today I go order the same burrito this time I was specific on how I wanted the burrito, grilled chicken rice and beans I make sure that they gave me the right burrito. We saw this on Facebook and thought we'd try it out. What a gem we found! Their carne asada burritos are huge and packed with nothing but meat, cilantro and avocado. We also got an order of 12 taquitos (rolled tacos) and they did not disappoint either. Packed with meat, lots of guacamole, cheese and sour cream on top. All of this was reasonably priced too! We ordered to go and they are fast as well. Will definitely be going back for more! read more

Not coming back. I was placing a large order, I had a small request for my menudo, I asked if I could have 1 fried corn tortilla, like a tostada shell. They said they couldn't but could give me chips, for $5, that's outrageous! How hard is it to fry 1 tortilla in oil that they already have hot. I was craving carne asada fries and I guess I'm spoiled to other places but here is not the place to get some. It's fries, shredded cheese (not melted), carne asada, sour cream, and guacamole. I enjoyed my food although the meat had some fat on it that I had to spit out. The food was seasoned good not too much and good portion size. The only reason why I took two stars away was customer service. The ladies here give you really strange looks. It's weird because the tone is kind but the looks can kill! Here we go again... just when you think this place might get better over time, it disappoints yet again. Tonight's food order was carnitas nachos and 2 street tacos (carne asada and pastor). The carnitas meat had decent flavor, but the way it was prepared was a complete disaster and made it almost impossible to eat without a fork. There was obvious no care when preparing my order. The taco meat (asada/pastor) had no flavor and the asada meat was cut into think cubes and made it difficult to enjoy with tacos. Again, there's no care for whomever is making the food. I've lived in this community for over 15 years, and this place was my go-to taco shop. However, after I saw the owner looking all bougie with her oversized Dolce and Gabanna glasses, I knew exactly why this restaurant has gone to crap. Went in for breakfast and ordered a breakfast plate with sausage,egg,cheese, and potatoes. Got a breakfast burrito. Didn't complain just sat down and ate it. The burrito was huge, the meat and cheese could have been dispersed better. Got meat at the top and bottom and the cheese glob at the bottom. This place is absolutely amazing. This place makes the best tasting bean and cheese burrito I've ever had. The food is fresh and sometimes takes some time to make. But it's definitely worth the wait. Stay away from this place. The food poisoning reports are real. We almost ended up in the emergency room with blood coming out of our bowels. The Menudo is absolutely deadly and when I try to talk to the owner, he just sat there smart off to me. Our first time here. I ordered the carne asada torta, and I asked with no tomato. My husband ordered carne asada tacos. The cashier was very polite to us and when she gave us our order (we ate there) she let me know that she had them put the guacamole on the side instead of inside because there was a small amount of tomato in it. I really appreciated that she thought of that. All our food was delicious and flavorful. We went back again a few days later to eat there again. I got the carne asada sopes. Very good! And again great service. The only complaint that I have but it's NOT the establishments fault, a lot of high school kids hang out there and are a bit loud. Inside the eatery and outside. At the nearby Starbucks too. So around 3pm to as far as we know 5pm the area is full of kids waiting for their parents to pick them up, I assume. But The Mariachi is a must try. read more

Stopped by and ordered 2 Enchiladas with beans $ rice to go! When I got home to dig in, I found the the Enchiladas were lukewarm and when I cut them to eat, I clearly saw that the cheese was not even melted! I also had the taste of of something else in the enchiladas! I ended up throwing the order in the trash, learning my lesson, never to go back again!
