Wonderful experience here last night. Busy when we arrived, but we were able to be seated without delay. Servers were warm and efficient. Toasty tortilla chips with chunky salsa was delivered to our table within seconds. Our table ordered a cheese enchilada combo, chile verde enchilada combo, a fish taco, small albondigas soup, a Cadillac margarita and a blended strawberry margarita. We all loved our choices. Shout out for the red sauce on the cheese enchiladas-it was exceptional! The "small" albondigas serving was gigantic and flavorful. Highly recommend this place. read more

My lady and I went out to Morongo to go catch a concert and I wanted to have some real Mexican food. La Casita did not disappoint. I saw them bring out a platter and it was beautiful. My lady asked what is that? The waitress said the sample platter I said, bring it to the table. I highly recommend this spot because Natalie is the food. Good the tacos on the sample platter were incredible. Talk about flavor wow whenever I go to Morongo, this is the place that I will be eating at. Excellent service food is delicious! Seasoned perfectly cooked perfectly. I always get the same rice and beans with hard tacos one chicken one beef. My daughter and granddaughter just came down Mother's Day. I wanted them to go there to eat with me. OK Mexican food near the Cabazon Dinosaurs, if you've seen the movie "The Wizard" or "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" you can go to the dinosaurs for an iconic filming location. We stopped by headed back from Joshua Tree, looking for any lunch spot with good reviews. They are located in a large plaza with plenty of parking, the restaurant itself is also spacious with plenty of seating. My wife loves restaunt style restaurant style Mexican food so she was really excited. Asada Tacos: nice grilled taste but the pieces were cut too large for me and I would have preferred just onions and cilantro. Comes with cheese, guacamole, pico on the side. Chicken Taquitos for the kids: chicken was dry and I had to put some carne asada inside so the kids would eat it. Enchiladas: My wife and mother in law got the green sauce one and the traditional one, they both loved the enchiladas. The rice tasted like it had turned so we didn't eat any of it after a bite. We used to eat here 14 years ago, I remember not being impressed, I can't even remember if it was the food, service or pricing. I just know it wasn't a go to place anymore for Mexican food. My daughter and I went back about 2 weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised! The chips and salsa were really yummy, the food was really good, and our Midori Margaritas were delicious. This is a solid Mexican restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. The chips were light and crispy. Salsa had algood flavor. I asked for beans in my enchilada and they were happy to make that variation. I asked for a side of the hottest sauce they had. For our late lunch on the way to Whitewater and Idyllwild, we decided to try Mexican food since my husband saw it had good reviews, so why not! The salsa for the nachos was a bit watery, but still tasty (I ate it anyway, haha). The portions were big! I had two tacos, one shrimp and one fish, while my husband had three tacos. The food was worth it: big and tasty. I ordered takeout. The customer service was good. I ordered 2 crispy beef tacos. A very simple item. While there was plenty of beef, there was absolutely no flavor. The tortilla not very crunchy and very little lettuce, cheese and tomato. The chips were stale and the salsa tasted like it came out of a can. I was very disappointed. This restaurant was definitely intended to accommodate the Caucasian demographic of which I am not. I am Mexican and definitely know what Mexican food should taste like. This isn't it! They should rename the restaurant or get cooks that make Mexican food the way it should be cooked. I was very disappointed. I will never go back. If you're Mexican do not come here! My husband and I have been getting takeout for a couple of years now and there has been no complaints. I love their caldo de rez (Cocido) and it's always so delicious. Broth very flavorful, lots of soft tender meat and never greasy. My husband and sister love their carne asada burritos. Even tho, we ordered today, and noticed the burrito slightly smaller than before. No bueno! Hopefully they don't get smaller especially for the price. My first and last time! I ordered a Carne Asada burrito chips and salsa to go! I waited about 10 to 15 min my order was ready, got home cut the burrito in half and there's no Carne Asada instead it was this disgusting shredded beef dried up with a blob of disgusting beans that tasted like can refried beans with no flavor at all! We are due to Beaumont area, so we wanted to try the local restaurants. We have seen so many folks walk into La Casita, so we had to check it out. We came during Tuesday on lunch, and they had two dollars off their special margarita, which I had to get! My partner got on Asada burrito and I got the trio fajitas - shrimp, chicken, and asada. Everything came out really good and was made fresh. I personally really enjoyed the shrimp and chicken for the fajitas, both had a lot of flavoring. I think that Sara wasn't as good, so I probably only get the shrimp or the chicken in the future. It was also all reasonably priced. Overall, really good experience. We decided to have dinner at La Casita Restaurant for Father's Day, we arrived at approximately 3:30p, there was a 15 minute wait but the bar was available. My husband and I sat down and although I counted 4 people and some other people coming and going to and from the back of the bar, we were not acknowledged nor greeted. It wasn't until at least 3 min past and I asked is anyone attending here and the female bartender indicated she was and would help us in a few. From the beginning she had a terrible demeanor as if she was doing something very important that she couldn't even take the time to even welcome us. She could have looked at us and state that she would be right with us from the start instead I had to be the one to get her attention. Anyway, I will cut this review short--the next couple who sat down next to us were acknowledged right away and she was just being so chatty with them, talking about her daughter, this and that. Finally I got her attention to get a salsa refill b/c at that point we were just eating chips and salsa and waiting for the food. She continued to chat it up with the couple and then another patron sat next to us and she immediately greeted her and offered her a drink. All this time she treated us differently and it was really noticeable that she catered to these customers possibly b/c they were caucasian. I usually don't see that often and I didn't want to mention this but it was so blatant and obvious. As for the food, my husband liked the beef/chicken fajitas but my 2 fish tacos and the scant serving of beans and rice was not worth the price of $16.99. Her demeanor (her name is Irma which was printed on receipt) and attitude didn't make our dinner any better. At this point I wish I had treated my husband to another place like maybe The Cheesecake Factory (which I have had a better time and treatment while sitting at the bar) instead of here and wished the whole experience would have been better and perhaps her tip would have been significant but unfortunately it wasn't due to her behavior and service towards us. read more

This restaurant is a real find in a strip mall near Best Buy. Decided to have breakfast for lunch and I ordered the huevos rancheros. I ordered my eggs, sunny side up. Everything was perfect and very tasty. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the yolk was still nice and runny. The ranchero sauce was flavorful and was not bland. The rice was fluffy and had great flavor. The refried beans, which can sometimes be MEH, were creamy and well seasoned. My server, Stephanie, was very attentive. The restaurant was very clean and colorfully decorated. The restroom was also very clean. I am looking forward to returning and trying other things on the menu. I ate there on a Wednesday and there seemed to be a lot of locals, which I considered to be a good sign. read more

Visited here on a Saturday for lunch. Pretty little place tucked amongst other retail shops. Greeted immediately upon entry and seated our party and took drink orders. A very pleasant place with plenty of tile and wood decorations and immaculate. Food orders arrived promptly and smelled delicious. The small taco salad with shredded beef was very generously sized even for a small. Chili relleno plate was good. As was the chili verde burrito. Beef taco plate and a bowl of refied beans for the little guy rounded out our meal. I'd love to say that everything was the best ever. Sadly it was just rated as okay. Nothing really wrong with the food that a bit more seasoning couldn't help ( may be more than a bit). Portion size was adequate and cost ended up being about $20. Per person. Mostly on par with other area restaurants. While I couldn't rave over the food , the service was excellent. Our waitress worked her butt off keeping drinks filled, providing extra napkins, doting on the little guy. As with so many servers, I did not get her name. But she is wonderful.
