Asada tacos, meat cut larger than normal
    Jay P.

OK Mexican food near the Cabazon Dinosaurs, if you've seen the movie "The Wizard" or "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" you can go to the dinosaurs for an iconic filming location. We stopped by headed back from Joshua Tree, looking for any lunch spot with good reviews. They are located in a large plaza with plenty of parking, the restaurant itself is also spacious with plenty of seating. My wife loves restaunt style restaurant style Mexican food so she was really excited. Asada Tacos: nice grilled taste but the pieces were cut too large for me and I would have preferred just onions and cilantro. Comes with cheese, guacamole, pico on the side. Chicken Taquitos for the kids: chicken was dry and I had to put some carne asada inside so the kids would eat it. Enchiladas: My wife and mother in law got the green sauce one and the traditional one, they both loved the enchiladas. The rice tasted like it had turned so we didn't eat any of it after a bite. Michelada: Come in a huge glass I would best describe as a goblet. The chamoy and chili-lime on the brim was so good!

Good "comfort" Mexican food. Beans are very nice, Tacos, good, Enchiladas good, and quac is also good. One day the quac was a little chunkier than a previous visit. A slight note on consistency, but not important. Nice little bar to watch games, a plus for me.

This is a solid Mexican restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. The chips were light and crispy. Salsa had algood flavor. I asked for beans in my enchilada and they were happy to make that variation. I asked for a side of the hottest sauce they had. I got a homemade roasted pepper sauce, great flavor and heat.

For our late lunch on the way to Whitewater and Idyllwild, we decided to try Mexican food since my husband saw it had good reviews, so why not! The salsa for the nachos was a bit watery, but still tasty (I ate it anyway, haha). The portions were big! I had two tacos, one shrimp and one fish, while my husband had three tacos. The food was worth it: big and tasty. The staff were okay; they were busy, but at least three different people still checked in on us to ask how we were doing and what we needed, which was nice.

Beers cold, foods tasty, and the staff is quick and friendly. Easily one of the best spots in town and everyone knows it!

We are due to Beaumont area, so we wanted to try the local restaurants. We have seen so many folks walk into La Casita, so we had to check it out. We came during Tuesday on lunch, and they had two dollars off their special margarita, which I had to get! My partner got on Asada burrito and I got the trio fajitas - shrimp, chicken, and asada. Everything came out really good and was made fresh. I personally really enjoyed the shrimp and chicken for the fajitas, both had a lot of flavoring. I think that Sara wasn't as good, so I probably only get the shrimp or the chicken in the future. It was also all reasonably priced. Overall, really good experience. We would definitely come again!

This service is fast, polite and helpful. Zairo was quick and recommended lots of great options. The seafood burrito is AMAZING. It has fish, scallops and shrimp with a delicious sauce. Highly recommend it.

You can tell every meal is cooked with love and intention ... hearing that the meat cooked for 8 hours... you know it's bomb. Don't miss out

My husband & I decided to try this place only based on the pics posted on Yelp. They looked great,…read moreso why not. We did not read reviews so we can have an open mind. First I'll mention all the positive things & then the not so good things. As we walked in & took a seat-we were greeted nicely & asked if we wanted a cafecito de olla. My husband said yes & it quickly came out. It was delicious, he said it took him back to his youth. We had small talk with the our waitress, she was very friendly & hospitable. I ordered their red & green chilaquiles, came with beans & some chopped potatoes. I have no complaints, it was delicious- although the green sauce was my favorite. The red had a little too much comino (cumin) flavor for my liking. Loved the fresh chopped onions, it added a great layer of flavor. My husband ordered their chorizo plate that comes with chopped potatoes & homemade tortillas. He said it did not disappoint. Although he would have preferred some beans. They have a TV that showed pics of a lot of their food & we were excited to return to try them out. They also had music playing and sounded nice. The ambiance was nice, and appreciated the table in the center of the place having a bunch of individual baked goods for sale. We picked 2 to go even though it was a little hard to choose because it all looked great. Oh also our waitress came out to our vehicle & offered us a freshly baked (from that morning) piece of coffee cake. That was so nice of her & we appreciated it very much. Now the reason we aren't giving them 5 stars. Not a deal breaker because we still want to return but their prices are way too high to come as often as we would like. So to make it clear, everything we ordered for 2 people came to $77. (It included the 3% fee for paying w/ a CC & tip). I just wished my husband would have asked for a receipt so I could have known the cost (specifically) of everything like the 2 baked goods & if they charged for the second refill of the cafecito my husband asked for. I mean if one cost $4.75 you would think refills would be included. But dang, that's insane. So all in all, we want to return & try almost everything on their menu. We just need to space out our visits. We wish them success with their business.

It's not bad, it just lost some of what made it stand out. The food is still really solid though, which is why I keep coming back. It's a nice sit-down restaurant if you want to actually relax and eat instead of rushing through a meal. Service is usually solid even when it's busy. Fair warning, it gets packed after church and the wait can build up quick, so timing matters if you don't want to sit around. Not the same as it used to be, but still worth it for the food.

I could write a long time. But start with authenticity. Their own salsa which they are quiet free with. Quality fresh tortillas, that you can smell the corn...mmmm, and some from Mexico. They have a meat counter and their prices are competitive with the meat looking really good, some is in their own marinade. Speaking with the owner he said they would make anything to our request. He proved it by cutting up a fresh unseasoned chicken breast to make a burrito for my wife who does not eat seasoning on chicken. Darn burrito weighed about a pound. The street tacos, choice of meat, ???? $1.00. One dollar on Tuesday nights. Other $1 specials every other night of the week. Here is the kicker. About the same food that we get from Ai..... ssshhhh for $45 dollars for crappy food, we paid $32 dollars from Fiesta. That is under $11 each and we had food left over. I do not know if this is good news or bad: The owner says at end of month they are expanding the building to $10,000sq ft. . We just have to encourage them to keep the restaurant family, and neighborhood friendly. Good Luck Fiesta Taco.
