This is a very underrated spot. It's a bit of a hole in the wall but don't let that discourage you. This place hands down has the best Mexican food in Greenfield Indiana! I love their supper dark ranchero red sauce on their burritos. The staff is also excellent! Very kind and they never mess up my order. They remember regulars and greet them fondly. They have a service charge on credit cards but come on, have a heart and pay cash if you can! They are a small business and need your business!!! read more

I ordered a chicken taco salad. It came with bell peppers in it. I explained to the waitress that the menu did not say there were bell peppers, and she told me I was wrong. I was polite, did not raise my voice, just suggested she look at the menu, as the fajita salad was the one with onion and bell peppers, not the chicken taco salad. (I should have pointed out that my friend ordered a beef taco salad, same menu, and it did not have green peppers). They replaced the salad. I then ordered fried ice cream for dessert. The corn flakes they used to make it were stale and I was not able to chew it. When my friend asked for a bigger to-go bag for her tortilla chips to take home, the manager snatched the small bag out of her hand and huffed off. I will NOT return to this establishment. read more

My husband and I went here for our a Friday day date. The food was delicious! My husband said it was the best shrimp chimichangas he has had. I got the La Feria which included tender grilled shrimp and chicken smothered in delicious queso. I usually have leftovers but not today! Owned by a very nice family. Whenever I think of Mexican restaurants, I always think of this place.this place is a hidden gem in Greenfield. The inside is okay, but it's the food that is delicious. I always order Horchata as my drink (which I am hooked on) and one of two entrees: Nachos al Carbon (which comprises of pico, chicken, shrimp, beef strips, quest cheese, lettuce, and tortilla chips) or Taco Texana (a giant taco shell stuffed with shredded cheese, peppers, onions, chicken, shrimp, and beef strips that are made fajita style, topped with sour cream and lettuce) The service here has always been pretty good. Out of the 10 times that I have came here, only twice did we have a bad experience. (Waiter took too long, but he was new) (an order of nachos was not made correctly, but it was sent back and quickly remade with no issues) If you have time to kill, I highly recommend this place. read more

MICHELADA's - they have them. In Greenfield. For that alone I would give a 5 (even though it was a bit more spicey than I like). Salsa was the 'spaghetti sauce' kind that seems to be popular in eastern Indiana. Not my thing, my 1 year old loves it though. (At least give me an option to request a better salsa). Other food - average Mexican restaurant quality. Service - it was quite terrible at first but they were PACKED on a Friday night, and as a few big crowds left they grew more attentive and they were quite curious how I liked my Michelada (I'm guessing not many gringo's order them). They do a fair job of serving one of my favorite drinks so I will be back. I'll try not to get there at the dinner rush and I sure won't plan on eating much of the chips and salsa. read more

Food was horrible. Then I found out I was overcharged $40. Went in and spoke to the mgr who asked me to come back another day, which I did. Then when I asked him for him he refused to speak to me and had someone interpret for him. First he can speak English, because he did the previous day. Then when I asked him why he asked me to come back and not have the available receipts, he still wouldn't speak to me. So if you want horrible food and to be overcharged then this is your place. The prices here are really good. The service is good and the food is pretty good. Did I mention the prices are really good? The one thing I didn't like is there fountain. I have never given a bad review and when it comes to Mexican you can't go wrong really in my book. The food here is just not good. The staff is very nice and the service is quick but no go on the food. They were so nice I couldn't bring myself to say anything because the complaint would have been "it's just bad" and that felt unkind. So we paid for our meal and I left hungry. The salsa tasted and looked like a runny spaghetti sauce. Very flavorless and the chips weren't any better. Nothing good to say about the meal either. read more

We were passing through the Indianapolis area over Labor Day weekend craving Mexican food. We took a chance with the El Mariachi Mexican restaurant in Greenfield and what a surprise. I ordered the shrimp fajita's with jalapeños and it was delicious. We asked for a hotter salsa for the chips and I'm still sweating. Love this little whole in the wall. No tex mex here... Ate here after running a 5k and boy was I surprised. I really had no idea that this place existed until after El Rodeo burned down. Chips and salsa is good. But the fajitas and shrimps are amazing. Very lowkey nothing special about the inside, but if you are a soccer fan it always seems to be on whenever we come. Never had a bad experience here and never seems to be too crowded. read more
