This place is minimalistic, which I do like, but sometimes it gets in the way. It's mostly empty on the weekdays which is regular, but however I stopped coming here because respectfully they are not great at forming cosmopolitans, my friend who was there with me ordered a cosmo and said she never wants to come again. Besides from that, I do like the hanging lights, and the staff friendliness. However I would definitely recommend working more on the speed of servers than friendliness, I was waiting for someone to take my order for almost half hour!! The outside of the restaurant is also uninviting, it looks almost abandoned when the lights are dimmed, respectfully: the parking lot is filled with potholes, and there's barely any parking. Recommendation: As a professional business reviewer, I would recommend working on how you make cosmopolitans and start serving more interesting drinks, perhaps create your own drink, get those potholes fixed, expand your parking, and add decorations outside. Nice restaurant conveniently located on 22. Menu had a lot of attractive options, and a nice mix between tapas and entrees. It looked like there was a smoker on site for many of their smoked dishes, making them very fresh. Food was tasty, though could've used a bit more seasoning from the things we tried. Food quality / price (value) rating 9. The atmosphere is eclectic Mediterranean. The menu is basically Mediterranean Fusion, with a variety of offerings not typically seen together. The presentations are very nice, and the ingredients used are of high quality. I started with a Jalapeno Margherita with freshly muddled jalapenos, and it was unique and fantastic ! I also had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, which was slightly spicy and very good, and the house made shoestring fries were nice and crispy as requested The wife had the Bianca Flatbread, which I tried and it was much better than I expected, and the wife liked it very much also. They have a decent number of brands of bottled and canned beers, but no draught beer. A large wine menu is available. Live entertainment is featured on the first Friday of each month, and they have a Happy Hour from 4 to 6 pm on weekdays. Overall experience was very disappointing. We ordered 3 tapas and one appetizer for two of us and left the restaurant hungry. The portions were tiny. The Mac and cheese tasted like some kind of beef stroganoff dish. Tuna was very bland and just too small. The pork chicharrones was one dry piece of pork. The charcuterie board for an appetizer was the only decent meal. We spent so much money, and had to go to ANOTHER restaurant to eat, because we were still hungry. The atmosphere was lacking too. We had a bad experience here on Valentine's Day. We made a reservation- they sat us at the bar while we were waiting and the bartender didn't offer us anything- even after sitting for 20 minutes. Took my kids skiing and came with here to have dinner while they were in their ski lesson. We ordered shrimp scampi, Mac and cheese, and the steak and frites they were very delicious. Will definitely come back again. Next time I will take a picture. Price is also reasonable. read more

I chose this place to have dinner with a friend after we spent the day at the Hudson Valley Wine and Chocolate Festival. The exterior of the restaurant is sort of reminiscent of a house, with the doors wide open, welcoming its guests. Inside there are yellow walls, blue and white on the ceilings and brown wood tables and chairs. There was an outdoor patio in the back which overlooked the Westview Golf Driving Range, which was a beautiful view, especially during the sunset. We were served ice water in pretty blue tinged glasses, with a slice of lemon on it, which I thought was a nice touch. I knew I wanted to try the duck confit quesadilla, however they did not have that available. Instead, I chose the patatas bravas and short rib arepas, while my friend ordered the steak frites. While waiting for our food, the chef (Tommy Stevens) came out and started making paella, which he filled with chicken, chorizo, shrimp, sauasge, onions, green and red peppers and later mussels. It was really cool to see his whole process of cooking the paella. We had the patatas bravas first, which were crispy fingerling potatoes with tomato sauce and a healthy drizzle of roasted garlic aioli mayonnaise on top. This was absolutely delicious! The potatoes were truly crisp with the yummy taste of seasoning and the mayonnaise made it even better. Then our waitress came with a shrimp and toast tapa dish which we did not order. She let us enjoy it on the house, which I was very happy about. It was wild red shrimp with the intense flavor of garlic and black pepper. The sauce that accompanied the shrimp was also tasty. There were 3 short rib arepas total and consisted of 12-hour braised beef short rib, pineapple salsa and arepas on the bottom. On top was cumin lime creamy sauce. There was a pretty good amount of the meat on the arepas and it was very tender and quite flavorful. The pineapple salsa gave at an extra pop of flavor which I found enjoyable. The arepas were decent, though perhaps a little dry. I tried a piece of my friend's steak, but wasn't impressed. (Perhaps because I had some very high quality filet mignon the night before.) I just felt like it was a bit bland and not very juicy. I did like the shoestring fries though - Those were addicting! We were still there when the chef finished cooking the paella so we were able to try some of it (for free - He was letting everyone have a taste!) This was absolutely wonderful. The rice was fluffy and perfectly orange colored. The meat and shrimp were all tender and seasoned with tons of garlic, pepper, herbs. Everything tasted delightfully fresh and the ingredients mingled together well. The service was good, though a little slow at first - It took awhile for someone to give us our menus, but after that we got our drinks and food with no problem. Our waitress was lovely and we also got to speak with the chef a little throughout our time. He was very warm, open and friendly. He mentioned that the menu changes depending on what season it is to ensure that they use the best, which I thought to be cool and innovative. My friends and I just adopted a puppy and were looking for a place nearby that allowed dogs outside and stumbled upon this place. What an amazing find!! The owners Tommy and Maryann brought over chicken and fresh water for our puppy right away and were so friendly and accommodating! We ordered the arancini, bianco flatbread, and the Sunday special sauce. The food was INCREDIBLE and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back (pup included)!! read more

Let me start by saying that I love the staff here. So friendly & accommodating. Love the location, ample parking, pretty views in the back. Love the option for outdoor seating & the fact that they are dog friendly on the patio. The food we've tried has been very yummy, ESPECIALLY the empanadas (omg you must try them) and the $3 happy hour tacos are awesome. We also love the flatbreads and basically every appetizer we've tried. Bathroom is always clean & drinks are good. If I had to change something it would be the amount of care/effort into the back area. What a beautiful spot that could be! It is so overgrown and needs some love and landscaping. Would make such a difference! Also, each time we've come, at least one dish we were interested in getting has been unavailable. Most recently I went with a girlfriend for wings & crab cakes and they were out of both :( I totally understand it must be hard to get shipments & deliveries now with Covid but I wish it was communicated via Instagram or something so you know the deal before arriving. It's frustrating to drive all the way over excited for specific favorites & neither were available. Anyway, this will not deter me from returning as these are both easy fixes & I'm sure life after Covid will help alleviate these minor issues. Overall a great place! read more

If Iron and Wine were a person, it would be that Instagram girl with 150 followers who considers herself an "influencer". The restaurant VIOLENTLY overestimates itself in every aspect and then fails to deliver on all of them. The food was okay. The $14 octopus was just two small legs and a bunch of steak fries without too much flavor or texture. The steak I ordered must have skipped the seasoning phase, and it was probably the smallest steak I've ever received at a restaurant. I kept on cutting it into smaller and smaller pieces (with my butter knife; a steak knife was not provided at any point) just so I wouldn't immediately be done with my meal. It was fine, but flavorless; instead, Iron and Wine pulled what seems to be their signature move again : filling a plate with some variety of french fry to mask an absolute lack of substance. Sure, there was a pile of thin fries, but I would have preferred that my $28 went towards meat. The drinks were so weak that I'm not even sure there was any alcohol in them. If they were a little stronger, it would have been easier to tolerate the fact that they jam you in like sardines, and the volume level is somewhere around 'frantic murder scream'. This is not a casual, quiet, nice place; this is a place where you have very little hope of having a conversation with someone across the very small table from you. Iron and Wine is 2.5 stars. 2 is usually reserved for a restaurant that does these things through malevolence or laziness; Iron and Wine just seems oblivious. It spends more time trying to talk about how great it is than actually aspiring towards that greatness. Next time, season your steak and don't be stingy with the gin. At least that would make the rest of this disappointing, insanely expensive experience go away. read more

Went twice. Each time the waitstaff ignored us for 10 minutes. First time, with kids we were about to leave. Place is empty and over an hour for our food. I should have taken it as a sign to leave. Food was ok, steak underdone and pork had a lot of fat (not what you want in a taco). Sauce was bland. What finally ticked us off is we paid $12 each for martinis to find a $2 MARTINI CHARGE added to the bill for each drink. When we asked, the waitress told us it's more alcohol up than on the rocks. Absolutely amazing, following a great conversation with Tommy the owner and executive chef I picked up my order, absolutely sublime pork belly chicharone, and braised chicken and cheese empanadas. The starters were phenomenal and left expectations high for main courses. My wife got the burrata gnoccetti which was absolutely amazing. I got the spicy dandan noodles and it was like music in my Mouth. The mushrooms really stood out but every element was working in symphony to create a unique blend of flavor. Uninspired. About 1/6th of the menu was unavailable. No wine list - No wine list at a place called Iron and Wine? We were served a $9 a bottle Pinot Noir (which tasted like you'd expect) for $10 / glass. Ahi tuna portion was small and flavorless save for a standard ponzu. "Artisanal" cheese board was Burrata and something else. The waitress was unsure and we never did find out, tasted like a Parmesan. Octopus was greasy, flavorless, unseasoned and lacking in texture (though the sauce on the side was creative). Fries were burned and burger was unexceptional. Churros were more just blobs of dough served with a congealed sauce. Over $100 bucks for what? At half the price, the food would be worth two stars, but for what I think is being attempted here, it falls very flat. We'd heard good things, so this was very disappointing. Meh. When the house pinot at a place called Iron and Wine is 9 buck chuck, something ain't right. read more

I feel bad kicking a restaurant when it is down but if you want people to go to your restaurant, you have to give a s#$t about what you are serving. One (calamari) out of 5 items we ordered are edible. My wife ordered crab cakes and they were overcooked on the outside. Anyone who has deep fried anything knows when its time to change your oil. Proof of this was that the truffle fries were also burnt. The fire in the kitchen continued, the filet my wife ordered was burnt on the outside but inside it was medium. I ordered the paella and it was BURNT and stuck to the pan. I sent it back and they offered to re-fire it for me and as I still hungry and I agreed. While I waited I kept drinking beer and my wife and I talked about the burnt flavor we both had in our mouths. I got the next one after 15 mins and it was cooked ok but soaked with so much oil I could not eat it without draining the rice with my fork. I ate the mussels, scallops and shrimp which were ok (2 stars) but no WOW factor at all. As a chef you should be embarrassed serving this kind of food to people. If you don't give a s#$t anymore, you should not be cooking food. If you do care, check every plate before it goes to the table and if it is bad, do not serve it. If you don't know if its good or bad, try something different. read more

We went this evening and the place was empty, not a single diner in the restaurant. They had no wine or drink menu, no bud light and no sparkling wine. Was not trending in a good direction at that point so we opted to not engage in an experience that started off like this and went elsewhere. read more

What a horrible experience. If you like overpriced meals, delayed timing and unreliable service, be sure to frequent this location! We ordered 4 meals and a cheese "board" (which was a joke) to be picked up at 5:15. I called right when they opened at 4:00 to place the order. When I arrived on time the woman told me the "receipt machine wasn't working" and the order wasn't sent to the kitchen. So, due to the inconvenience, she told me BOTH paella dishes would be taken off the bill. I waited another 25 minutes and was told my total was $85. When I asked if the paella's were removed from the order, I was informed that "they said I can only take off one"- going against her word- and proceeded to give me the total without an itemized bill. She then disappeared into the kitchen and I fully regret the tip I left as she did not apologize again nor honor her initial promise. The food was not only delayed, but the paella's were dripping all over the bag and were bland (according to my grandparents). My gnochetti was also flavorless and the cheese board was minimal at best. RIP OFF. I was so disappointed I phoned them THREE times and they did not pick up once. We are thoroughly dissatisfied with everything from the service to the food. Don't waste your time or money here! So unprofessional and poorly run. Never again. read more
