First visit was extremely enjoyable! Service was courteous and fast. Food was awesome, prices are phenomenal! Can't wait to visit again!

Salsa was not good. They forgot Stevens shrimp. They are deffinately good. Check out the county line location. Just a restaurant.

Good, cheap Mexican food. Friendly staff. Soccer on the TV. Best Mexican place on the south side, easily. Not a ton of vegetarian options, but what they do have is tasty. We've been here many times over the years. My best description is mediocre and inconsistent. More often than not, food comes to our table luke warm. Chips are often stale and reheated. The carnitas are simply chunks of pork instead of strips or shredded. We've given the benefit of the doubt too many times. The meal value is dull. I have thought it's curious how some of the combination dinners offer rice or beans, not both. Watch your bill too. Prices have often varied from their printed prices in the menu. read more

Probably the best chimichanga Acapulco I ever had! Great service by a nice dressed high school lad and even the Coke was exceptional. Restrooms easily accessible and a cultural ambience to make it easy to want to return. My 9yr old said we need to remember this place the next time we are in town! read more

I am very disappointed in my experience this evening at this restaurant . I was charged $15.99 for a "skinny" margarita. Our waiter was taking drink orders and was pushing the jumbo margarita for $5.99. When he came to me I said I'd like the same but "skinny"! I had confirmed it was the same price. Upon receiving my bill, I was charged 15.99. I inquired as to why and he said ,"it's a jumbo!" I would NEVER have ordered it if I had known it was 15.99. I asked to see the manager and he came over and reiterated what the waiter had shared and gave me the receipt again w/o a change. Needless to say we had brought in a group of 35-40 people who ate and drank. To quibble over $10 with that customer base was in my opinion poor customer service. Poor judgment in my opinion as those I was with witnessed this and vocalized they will not be returning! Unbelievable! read more

Fast & friendly service on a Thursday night. Friday's can get busy (like most good restaurants) but we've always had great food no matter how busy they are. We've eaten here several times, and will continue to return. read more

Was looking so forward to good mexican meal. But it was just average to poor. The waiter was so rude. My husband ordered fajitas they brought the toppings but then brought out a steak. When we questioned it he said no you said steak you never said fajitas! But what was the shredded lettuce and cheese for? We were there as a family didn't want to make a big deal out of this man's arrogance. We ate what we could which was very little. Just enjoyed our family time and got out of there. This place is preposterous. First of all, the staff will talk about you in Spanish. Wrong move when my friends and I can fluently speak it and heard a waitress calling my friend names . Second, the portion if ordered out is NOTHING compared to what you get . Our order is always wrong, and the staff will argue with you about it . Third I have been cheated the wrong change while paying cash when the man puts the cash in his pocket each time rather the cash register. Last but not least the bathroom was disgusting and there was a roach behind the toilet. Do not go here! read more

Usually I review on a different site, but couldn't find this restaurant on there. Apparently due to poor reviews it was somehow removed. Now I know why, they try to cheat customers. Be very careful with your bill as it is not itemized, just totals. Had I not paid attention would have been overcharged by a few dollars. Others in line behind me to pay then looked at their receipts and same thing. I should have left as soon as I caught a loud sigh & eye roll by my waiter when all I initially ordered was water while I reviewed the menu. He tried persistently to have me order queso or some other chargeable item. Had he not been so forceful about the drinks or queso, I planned to order that. The food was okay, same as all the other places, nothing special. The sour cream was runny and warm, the chips stale and cold, the salsa was unflavored tomato sauce, no seasoning at all. The food is amazing. My husband and I had a hard time finding a really good Mexican restaurant. Then we tried El Meson in 2013. The food is great, the prices use tk be really good but have increased. Which we were okay with because the food and service was always so good. Until August 27 2016. We finally got a babysitter and had a date night. So We called in and ordered two Chori Pollo with guacamole on the side on both. It's our favorite. They said the order would be ready in 10 minutes. Twenty minutes after my husband made the call he got to there and had to wait 10 minutes. Then he gets home the chicken is cold. Not even warm. Then to find out we don't have our tortillas....which is apart of the meal. We were not pleased at all. So unhappy that he called back. Told them what happened, they said come back and get them. No the food is already cold. Well we will give you a free cheese dip. Well, we don't want a $4 cheese dip. We wanted our tortillas with our food, you don't order a taco and not get the shell. The total was $25 and some change. We didn't want the cheese dip, there's plenty of cheese dip that comes on the meal. My husband asked if he could replace the meal. It was date night (never happens), our food was cold, we had to wait 10 minutes and there weren't any tortillas. He spoke with Martin. Following day we go back, the person working the front refused to fullfil the order and said Martin was not there. He asked the man to get the manager, he said they didn't have one. So he said can you get the person in charge.. the guy acted like it was an issue. My husband stood at the counter until they finally decided to re make our meals. Get home, he purposely left lid off on one of the meals so grease was everywhere. We received the lunch portions not the dinner portions we paid for. To top it off, he threw 6 packs of tortillas In the bag... What was the reason behind all of the packs of tortillas...? There wasn't he was being a smart a**. So thanks for ruining our favorite place to eat. It totally sucks having to find a new Mexican restaurant with awesome food. read more

Very inexpensive. Food not heated and not very spicy. Service indifferent. Mi Amigos is better and definitely Taco Bell is better.

I've never done a review before, but if you value your intestines, stay away. Have not been feeling good all day. I will never go again.
